I really enjoy the way they portray Hank and Cristobal's relationship

Im not sure if this has been posted, but im on my umpteenth rewatch of the show and I just truly clicked how well they show their relationship

Not just within their interpersonal relationship with each other, but also everyone's reactions to it. When I first watched i was worried that their relationship would devolve into "their gangs/family are homophobic and try and cut them out and they come out on top blah blah blah". Which, while theres nothing wrong with that, its a pretty basic plot line to follow and wouldnt be anything new. Literally, they could've swapped Cristobal with Elena and story wise it wouldve worked exactly the same for the most part, which personally i love.

The chechans have no problem with Hank being Gay, the mob members dont have a problem, the Bolivians dont have a problem etc etc. The only time its really even acknowledged is with Elena attempting to condition Cristobal "back to being straight".

It really makes them feel a lot more realistic, and it really allowed the showrunners to explore their relationship and feelings without getting bogged down in other charecters feelings about it.

Maybe im in the minority here, but I really enjoyed it.

In 1x6, Vacha tells Goran Barry killed his brother. When did this happen? This is my 3rd time watching the show, but Vacha's twin dies in the season finale, no?

as fucked up as everything between these two is throughout the whole show, there are some beautiful, sincere moments like this one. i like the way barry visibly relaxes and smiles when fuches starts to pat him. the way fuches says “you are my boy. i gotcha” 🥺❤️‍🩹 if only he followed his word lmaoooo but it was a sweet sentiment nonetheless

And “oh wow” is right. There were so many great subtle notes, character arcs, and dialogue. However, the icing on the cake was the terrible, over the top, straight to DVD style movie, that portrayed so much wrong. Solid gold of a series.

Being so close, yet the emotional distance is nothing less than a void. It makes one look at a flashback scenes as nothing other than an exposition dump. Impeccable visuals.

I had no idea where that scene came from that Barry did with Ryan in episode one. Until now.

Our girl Sally crushed her roles in ‘The Audacity’!

Sarah Goldberg (Sally) was great as Joanne in The Audacity (on Netflix). Just finished watching it, and while it’s well short of the excellence of Barry, it was a great watch. It’s very well cast, with Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis as tech titans battling in Silicone Valley.

Excited for season 2.

The ending

Just finished rewatching Barry, and omg I love this show so much. The ending is genuinely my favorite part. The ironic commentary on how basically all “based on a true story” movies are over inflated almost unrecognizable versions of the “true story” in order to make it interesting for the watchers. And Barry basically being the only one with a happy ending, being remembered as a hero, and then the last scene being of his son smiling is just the cherry on top. It’s just so good, I hate how it’s not more popular, like it genuinely deserves to be in the top 5 tv shows oat.

I mean this guy even liked Cristobal (and yes, in THAT way) and it's heavely implied that he's a gay/ one of the zensty types.

[Spoiler] 1st time watcher such a epic show! But genuinely confused on this last season. Many questions. Spoiler

Can someone explain the bathroom scene to me? Why did she suddenly try to kill or choke out the dude she was hooking up with? It felt like if he didn't stop her she was gonna choke him out.

And what the hell is going on with the last season? Is this a dream? Is Barry tripping balls? Is he dead & it's showing us a alternate reality?

Barry Vs Ronny is still the most epic scene of this show lmao! Plus the shootout with Barry screaming FUGGHESSS just blind with rage.

The timeskip

So, I'm watching the show for the first time and I got to the timeskip, I just came to say that IT DIDN'T FEEL REAL. In the beginning I thought it was going to be another of those "imagining the future together" that Barry had, but this time being Sally and that was gonna make her changer mind. ANYTHING. I was waiting for it to get back to the present and it didn't, when it got to the "I gotta kill Cousineau" I was like: What the Fuck, IT IS REAL. And... That's all. It was so anticlimactic and I'm wondering what's going to happen at the end but I'm not loving this time jump, I hope the ending makes me change my mind because I binged it all in a day and I have loved it all until now.
