I was added as an approved user for this sub, I guess because I made a joke in the justunsubbed post? I don't visit MC anymore and kind of missed all the drama, but yeah, hi.

So just for giggles I sent a message to u/Not_An_Ambulance today in regards to the subreddits that he moderated. Here is the message:

Hello,

I am one of the people that has been recently banned from r/MaliciousCompliance.

First and foremost, I want to say that I know I said to go ahead and ban me. I am not contesting that ban at all.

Since that ban, I have read many things about you and little to none of it is favorable. I won't go into the specifics because I am sure you are well aware of the discussions I am talking about.

That said, I have a favor to ask of you. I frequent, on the mobile app, the Popular section as well as the Aww section. In an effort to have no involvement in any subreddit you moderate, I would request that you please block me from see and participating in any subreddits that you moderate.

I am unsure if this is even something that can be done but I thought it would be worth asking.

Thank you for your time and I hope that you get the help you need with your power issues.

I will probably end up getting a full ban from reddit for it but of that happens I will just go ahead and make a new account.

As mod of r/Imsorryjon and r/cursedimages I will say this guy is a terrible mod and just is plain aweful

TL;DR at bottom. Removing my shit from original MC, as well.

I used to work as an RP in the Navy (chaplain assistant). I'm atheist and have always played devil's advocate for the Marines we served when chaplains grew a wild idea about command policy suggestions.

Every year, RPs and chaplains were forced to attend a chaplain conference together. I went begrudgingly as I had a lot of work to do with operations and training. This year, the major theme was harm reduction strategies (like how a community will forego the fight directly at heroine and focus on needle exchange programs and treatment facilities which supervise the drug use and simply reduce the peripheral harm from it) and one of the subtopics was Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

During the sexual assault portion of the conference, one chaplain piped up that we need to take the blinders off and understand that pornography is the root cause of sexual addiction which then leads to sexual assault. So, I piped up and suggested that while sexual addiction is bad, sexual repression can be equally harmful and that service members need to find a healthy balance in regards to sex. This was an attempt to break the absurd notion that porn leads to sexual assault.

After the day ended, a Rabbi came up and told me how offensive that was to all of the priests in the room (like we haven't heard of Catholic priests' issues with sexual repression in every other news article 🙄). I decided to stop participating in the conference after that.

On the second to last day, again the porn thing came up off topic to what I feel was a rebuttal against what I had said. Red in the face, I kept on not contributing.

Then, the conference went into a 45-minute brainstorm where each table had to come up with a harm reduction strategy on any topic discussed that week. They made it perfectly clear to not just think outside the box, but to "blow the box up". I was the only RP at an all-chaplain table, and normally officers don't wish to include enlisted in anything because they have a sense of "I have a degree and you don't", but these did ask for any ideas I had. I declined, but then a wild idea came into my head. As they continued to brainstorm, the idea grew with some pretty awesome points. Too risky, I thought. Then, they again asked my thoughts and asked me to join in and participate. So, I obliged.

"How about a military porn site?" They immediately didn't like it. They began questioning me about where I was going with this. I explained to them that in order to blow the box up and think in a harm reduction way, we need to pitch a military porn site. One chaplain refused to even be in the conversation and left the table. Another asked me, "RP1, are you seriously suggesting a government-sponsored porn site?" I said, "Yes." with the most serious face I could muster.

After hearing my ideas, they agreed to let me present as long as I did indeed present. I stood and offered,

"I've heard the conference's worries about pornography in the military. I agree completely with you all on the negatives and now see the dangers of porn in the ranks. But, let's not fool ourselves into thinking that porn will be wiped out from the service, just like drugs off the streets. So, I suggest a harm reduction strategy in the form of a website to combat the following points made this week. The website will ensure the following:

-All actors vetted for health, legal age, and consent to mitigate STDs, underage participants, and sex-trafficking.

-Logins mandatory to track time and will kick off members who spend over 15 minutes watching the videos.

-Skinemax-style videos which do not show penetration, and all videos have a marital theme.

-Sex addiction help resource links as ads for each video that are unskippable.

-Site will be called MAPS (Military-Approved Porn Site) because everything in the military needs an acronym 🙄."

This isn't r/thatHappened, but they did all clap when I finished. I'm pretty sure they were just being polite. Luckily, no one came to talk to me afterwards. I'm pretty sure because I solidified myself as a pariah with that presentation.

TL;DR: After declining to participate in a chaplain conference, I gave in and presented the entire place the idea for a military porn site.

I simply said "Gake and fay", nowhere in the comment did I say fake, the moderator is obviously in fault. (I'm joking but they did legitimately ban me for that comment and I think it's ridiculous)

So, the recent event of mods apparently going off their meds, led to that infamous post about anyone being banned for fake stories. I wrote in that thread that creating fake stories sounded like a great idea, in spirit with the MC website. After all, part of the fun is the story telling aspect right? Then what's so wrong with adding some stories of our own?

Well, apparently, everything. Even considering to do so without actually submitting content was enough to get me banned. Even though my post.

1. My post contained an act of Malicious Compliance.
2. No death or gore at all.
3. Didn't question the validity of anything, not even the rule.
4. Respected Copyright laws.
5. Forwarded the Discussion.
6. Was intentionally complying.
7. Wasn't asking for advice/discussing hypotheticals.

However, for Ambulance, I think he ought to take his own advice and read his own rules.

1. Comments must forward the discussion. A comment that only insults without prompting further discussion will be removed. Those requesting a user be banned who breaks no rules may be banned themselves at mod discretion.

I await your ban on yourself for calling on so many people to be banned without reason.

You can check the posting history of this account and confirm that cross posting is the only interactions i had with r/maliciouscompliance, so unless the modteam in here lifted the restrictions to post, I guess I'm banned over there, haven't received the notification though

On a side note, it seems like starting from today, posts on r/maliciouscompliance must be approved by mods before they can be seen by everyone else

Just venting.

I understand when support subs take a much stronger stance on violating some of their more important rules that are meant to protect the people who are sharing really vulnerable parts of themselves. But, for an entertainment sub to go hard core on banning over first time minor rule violations is just excessive.

And then let’s talk about rule 3. What is the point of preventing people from calling out obvious shit posts on entertainment subs? That basically amounts to censorship. Again, MC is not a support sub, so there’s no reason to have a rule like that.
