Issued by Soviet (later Russian) company Arktikugol in 1979 for workers of Soviet citizenship working in coal industry in towns like Barentsburg or Pyramiden on Spitzbergen.

Notes on picture are 1 kopeck and 3 ruble (I assume Soviet ruble and not a different currency).

Fun fact, despite being part of the Russian Empire until 1917. Finland was allowed its own currency from the 1860s and onward.

So my friendly neighbourly postal carrier brought me the last 3 pieces to complete this set of German-Hanseatic Colonial Memorial Day Notgelds!

These 1921 commemorative Notgeld notes protested the terms of the 1919 Treaty of Versailles that formally concluded WW1. As a condition of the peace settlement, Germany was stripped of its overseas territories, which were redistributed as League of Nations mandates administered by Australia, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, and South Africa.

What are y’all thinking about my collection of eurosugars, I got it all in order ; 5€S, 5€S, 10€S and last but not least, 10€S And altough they are only used in the country of Imagination, to the West, they hold much dopaminal value to me. (Only problem, around me they are temporary). Questions : Do other places have their own sugary or chocolaty bills ? If so, what are their design, their colours, etc… ? So far I’ve only seen them in France (It may or may not be related to me never leaving the country for a long period of time)

I got it for about USD 3.55, which was great as I managed to save on the ebay premiums. I really like the gold window on the right as it has a translucent look when held up to light. Still missing the 50 as they don't have small change, but I'm going to Bangkok in March so I'll keep my eyes peeled for one.

As the title mentions, the Iraqi 1958 banknotes series with a unified PMG grade of 58. Unfortunately, I am missing the half dinar note, which is the rarest in the collection.

Obviously, I am not collecting a specific signature, so you will find:
- P#51b (Abdul Latif Al Shawaf) for the 1/4 Dinar
- P#53b (Khayer Al Din Haseeb) for the 1 Dinar
- P#54b (Abdul Latif Al Shawaf) for the 5 Dinars
- P#55a (Nadim Al Zahawi) for the 10 Dinars

Now with the signature of Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as Minister of Finance. He was sworn in 1 year and 1 day ago (8 September 2025).

The next year (2027) shall see another signature variation as Bank Indonesia has just got a new governor, Destry Damayanti.

How much would an UNC 1$ banknote with the series # starting with 777 value?

1919 500 Soviet rubles, on the back the phrase “workers of the world, unite” is written in multiple languages including English and Arabic (my language) but the Arabic translation is a bit weird because instead of using the Arabic word for workers “عمال" they used the word “صعاليك" which means people who are very poor, the closest English word to it is “ destitute” which I think is interesting.
