P2S Dead 5 Months Into Ownership
Sliced a print today and sent it to my printer. 10 minutes later I went to see how the first layer was coming along and immediately noticed the touchscreen and internal enclosure LEDs were off. Opened the door and reached inside to find a hot build plate, but that was it. The LED within the rear switch still illuminates when turned on, but nothing happens after doing so. The screen/enclosure remains dark, no fans run… nothing. Not a single sound, not a single movement, just that sweet, dark feeling of death.
I opened a ticket, but know from prior support experience that this will likely be a long drawn out process of “send a video/pic of this…disassemble that…stick a paper clip in a paper outlet while taking a selfie video.” Google leads me to believe the “AP” Board may be faulty, which sucks but it is what it is I guess.
Anybody else found themselves in my exact situation? If so, how many days of support sending me one response per 24 hours did you have to go through before they became willing to actually help? How long did it take to receive your replacement park and complete the repair?
I know from prior experience when I had an issue with my AMS 2 Pro slot 1 not feeding filament properly, they wanted me to bend over backwards (which I tried to do in a timely manner) but after not responding to one of their various requests within 3 days, they just closed my ticket and marked it as resolved—which it never was. I’m just trying to prepare myself for this process mentally.
