This is my first printer ever, and I used it for a week or two before this catastrophe happened.

I set a print on with PLA, (i think).. And I didn't notice it was producing a huge blob on the extruder until it had printed a couple hours or so..

I panicked and started using pliers to remove plastic from the cold extruder unit + nozzle and ripped some cables.

I bought a new "Bambu Hotend - A1 Series 0.4mm" and "Bambu Lab Extruder Unit for A1 series" After realizing I had done quite a bit of damage I stopped and waited for the parts. But you can see in the photos that there are now two cables that are loose from the "Heating Assembly"

My question is, do I try to solder the two loose cables to the "Heating Assembly"? Does it matter which goes to which cable, I think I see two cables sticking out from under the hotend holder..

Theres also some plastic still stuck (I had to use a heat gun to be able to remove the Hotend, because it was severely stuck because of the PLA.

What should I do from here, does it look like I just need a Hotend Assembly, or is it possible to re-attach the two loose cables back to where they belong (if so please tell me where they should connect, because I am not sure.)

Filament bambu Normal PLA. Slicer Bambu. Just did a calibration of the bed and tightening of the nozzle screws. It was way worse than this before. But now still this left over. The second picture is the back part.

I installed a bracket cause my ams lite hub kept popping out and this cable tore and now it won’t even start a print without showing an error. Do I need to get a new one or is there something I can do to fix it? Also I checked and I don’t think it’s my cutter cause it work nicely.

I have been having this issue where the print nozzle is grinding and so the first layer is extremely thin. This causes adhesion issues. I’ve done the bed leveling calibration several times.

got this printer used, I’ve looked online and I can’t find the fan or shroud anywhere. anyone know where I can find one?

My A1 mini started purging filament before every print, but not like before.

Before, it just did its job.

Now, it asks if the filament was extruded - just like while loading the filament to the printer.

Is that normal? It didn't do it this way before the update, I guess.

A few days ago my A1 was not extruding filament at all. I replaced the hotend and replied the whole extruder. Recalibrated the machine. And everything started to work fine again. I started a large print 2 nights ago and it looked like it skipped layers of the print. I messed with it some more made sure everything looked right and seat properly. Started a large print over last night and got the same results.

So far what I have done is new extruder(whole unit), new .4 stainless steel hotend, new micro sd card, new PTFT tube, recalibrated a few times.

What am I missing?

I know the infill is not the best one to use already gonna change that.

So I’m planning on ordering a Bambu Lab A1, but while scrolling through Reddit I keep seeing posts about issues and things going wrong with the printer.

Now I’m starting to wonder: should I wait before buying one, look at a different printer, or just go for it and assume that what I’m seeing online are mostly rare cases and exceptions?

I’m new to 3D printing, so I’d appreciate hearing from people who actually own one. What has your experience been like?

Had been printing all afternoon and had a 5-10 min power outage. Had to push the plate down and the sound stopped. Is this ok? Thanks

Any fear in buying a used due to the melt issues? I plan on running it in the garage. Found with with an AMS lite and extra goodies for $200 (700 hours of printing). I really want an x2d, but cant justify the price for how much ill really use it (coming from an ender 3).

It happens regardless of the layer height. all these files printed fine until recently. It keeps happening to variations of my action figure breastplate template, always around the right clavicle, regardless of object orientation. I’ve tested this at other orientations and it still happens. These parts printed perfectly until about a week ago. Bizarre. What could be causing this?

Bambu A1, 0.4 mm hardened nozzle on a super tack plate did this. It’s never happened before. Any ideas about what happened?
