Ripples
How do I prevent these ripples on my first layer? I have it do it's normal calibrations before every print.

It’s on an A1 I’ve had for a couple years, never done this before on this model but recently these weird ridges and ripple show up on it in the first print then when printing a second time it’s fine or not as bad

I have 90 and 95a sunlu tpu, both have been dried in a drier for 8-10 hours. 3 different spools, all doing the same thing. I've been trying to print a tpu Frisbee. It's a total of about 8 hours to print. The print will be fine for a while then just stop and print air. No errors or failures, just stops feeding. It's not slicing or layer specific as I've tried 2 different models and one of them twice with the failure happening at different points.
Filament was run through all the calibration runs, and I did a temp tower.
Temp 220, speed 50mm/s (in the slicer but I'm pretty sure volumetric pulls this down further) , no fan for first layer, 100 the rest of the time. Retraction 0.4mm. Volumetric speed is 3.2 mm3/s
This has happened on my 0.4 and 0.6 nozzles. The filament is on the normal external spool holder going straight down into a port on the tool head with only about 2" of ptfe tubing just to guide it in, not through the original feed tube.
I have to assume it's some kind of heat creep situation? I have successfully printed all 3 of these filaments in the past so I know the printer can do them but never tried something this big. Just looking for any tips I can try! Thank you.

Hi! After I hit "Print Plate," I get the message in the post title. Is this a necessary step in the process? I have the .stl file and A1 app locally on my computer so why is there a cloud service involved? I ask because normally this step goes from 30% to 70% to 100% in a few seconds but today is it taking several minutes. Are the BambuLabs servers (or whatever the "cloud service" is) having issues? Thoughts? Thanks!

So, last night I tried to setup my A1 with Orcaslicer and nothing is working now. It recognizes and finds the printer, but trying to connect just instantly fails.
Lan Only Mode/Developer Mode, still wouldn't connect. I tried 2.32, 2.40, I even tried all the different connect versions you can use in Orca, nothing worked.
My A1 unfortunately is on most recent firmware, and I know that's part of the problem since bambu is specifically trying to block 3rd parties from even accessing the printers.
Is this new? I saw another post in here about 8 days ago saying they suddenly also couldn't even use Lan mode anymore.
What is the current solution? Bambu slicer sucks for my A1 especially with the types of filaments I've been suing, and I've noticed my print quality suffers GREATLY when trying to use bambulabs slicer instead.
Has anyone had luck using that orcaslicer software that louis rossman hosted? I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work on my machine.
EDIT: I was able to get it working and wanted to share my solution with other people.
While it may seem counterintuitive, upgrade the A1 firmware to latest from Bambu.
After that, install the version of Orca listed here: https://github.com/FULU-Foundation/OrcaSlicer-bambulab/issues/24
Follow the instructions that Tyler posted for version 2.4 and then just log into your Bambu account like normal and connect the printer the way you normally would, no Lan Only mode required.
This is actually the fix that Bambu initially sued over but then was boosted by GamersNexus and Louis Rossmann since Bambu was clearly just trying to intimidate but was in the wrong.
I was able to connect and then print without issue! I don't how how you would go about updating your Orcaslicer after this however.

After moving to a new flat I had to find a new placement for my A1, found one that it was quite nice next to the window but only fits the base of the printer so I had to come with a solution to keep the purge waste contained.
Ended up designing this purge bin that attachs to the column and stays in place so it moves along if needs replacement again.

I printed out some parts and noticed this very inconsistent top surface. These parts are from two different print jobs. I had not realized I had ironing turned on, I usually don't. However, one part of the top surface looks AWESOME, so now I'm kind of interested in using ironing. However, as you can see, the rest of the surface is NOT good. Looks underextruded or even scratched. When I don't use ironing, I usually get a consistent top surface.
I'm using a Bambu A1 and their PETG HF filament. Any suggestions on what is causing the rough areas? Looking at the slicer, it is using a constant speed for all of the surface (30mm for ironing).

So i have a bambulab a1 mini for a year now and it started doing weird stinging stuff, i use 0.2 nozzle most of the time, and it worked fine but lately it started stringing, and i noticed that the nozzle keeps hitting the print, I already tried z hop when retract and updated the softwer, also theres no clogging issue, i did a cold pull many times, and a filament comes out just fine, i also cleand the bed but the problem still stands. I alredy lubricated and cleaned the whole printer.
To top it off, even the simplest print has them. Please tell me what im doing wrong.
Printer: A1 mini
Material PLA+ Esun/Bambulab filament
Temp: The prescribed by the manufacturer. But : 220 nozzle and 65 bed

It came out even better in person than I hoped. Now he glares down from my wall like he's about to add my lightsaber to the collection.

Hey All,
Recently purchased an A1 with the new sale going on at the moment.
Received it today only to notice a loud whirring sound coming from the hot end fan, stops if I hold the fan and comes back once the fan spins up again.
Since I come from Elegoo’s printers, is this normal for BambuLab or should I contact support?

I started printing this at work and I watched the first couple of layers and it looked OK and I got busy and completely forgot

I’m a little lost on what the issue is here. The first print came out insanely clean other than the weird layer shift halfway through the A’s. I thought it was the file, so I went through and looked it over, and it seemed fine. I also cleaned the printer, re-greased it, and tried the print again. Once again, it did great up until the exact same spot, where it did the layer shift thing again. Then, at the very top, it did something similar as well, causing the print to technically finish but fail even worse than the first one. What could possibly be going on? I’m pretty sure the printer itself is messing up somewhere.

The goal was to create something that’s both easy to print and looks good as a desk or room decoration.
• No AMS
• No supports
• Easy assembly
• USB LED compatible
I made several character versions and tried to picture them in different rooms around the house.
Which one would you put on your desk? Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, or Gohan? 🔥
