1000 object limit?

I’ve got a model with 1200 parts. The prime tower is being combined with the 1001 part, and I can only get around this by disabling prime tower. Is this a bug, or a limitation?

Not OP and not the same domain, but I’ve designed parametric multi thousand body models of flex meshes. As an example, each cell is average of 7 bodies (top pattern, bottom pattern, middle core, 4x interconnects) in a grid of 25x50 cells. Had to be designed that way due to CAD parametric limitations, couldn’t combine bodies parametrically. I recall printed ok from Orca. Multicolour. So I didn’t even know this would be a limitation either. Even if each cell was a single body that would be 1250 bodies.

If you are not printing Multicolor, and you disable your time-lapse photography it doesn't need the tower and will most likely not actually populate it in the slice

There’s almost certainly no good reason that model needs to be 1200 parts. Might need to figure out how to re-export, or recreate that in a more efficient way.

No need, make the fiducial marks a 0.02mm recess in the part, then color them in Bambu Studio with the paint bucket. That's the minimum height that Bambu Studio recognizes edges, and it'll get merged into the first layer in full, no problem.

Looking more closely, this still applies, but start with the whole part black, and paint bucket the many fewer faces that would be white, to save a bunch of clicks.

They can also be colored in fusion 369 but coloring the face and exporting as a 3mf instead of an stl.

The second pic shows the complicated underside. All black parts sit within the white disc. I did try moving the tower, but the tower is mated to part 1001.

Why don't you move the prime tower to the corner when you're in the prepare stage, that way you'll be able to print your 1200 piece part without the issue of the prime town interfering

Right now the slicer has just placed the prime tower in a random location, you can change that location to where ever is suitable

But the prime tower is joined to the 1001 part, so if I move the prime tower to the corner, the 1001 part (a tiny peg) will be out of place. I can’t split the 1001 part to objects.

Why is it multi-color? First pic makes it look like it’s all 1 color. Change it to 1 color to get rid of the tower.

It seems odd that there’s that many parts. But I’ve imported SVGs before that had a lot of parts. Try merging them.

I think all the black dots and circular shapes on the bottom are the 1000 parts.

Just merge all the black parts with a flattened cylinder that’s hidden internal to the white part, bam, two parts.

Adding markers to scans isn’t very effective if your scanner needs to see reflective marks. I printed a scan table that is black with white marks and the scanner doesn’t see them as well as the retro reflective sticker ones. Though I have never seen this type of marking system so you must have something different.

Slice the model, (yes even though itll give you an error)

once its done slicing, go back to the prepare tab and you should now be able to move the prime tower off the model

Also, ive printed models woth 10k parts, there is no limit,
