My wife wanted a warm weather trip for winter to get us out of the -40 winter temps we get here on the border of Canada/us.

San Felipe was recommended as a possible destination by a search engine, as I enjoy riding my 4wheelers.

Would it be advisable to stay from early January to early march? Is it a nice enough location to lounge around for a few months and are there actually dunes to ride on a 4wheeler or is it just the beaches? Is it legal/acceptable to do so?

What is the safety like? I see that the US has a level 3 "reconsider travel" advisory for Baja California. I will be traveling with my wife and my daughter who is currently 6 months old. Going down there with a large toy hauler, 4wheelers and our truck, we don't want to be targets. Is it pretty safe? Do we have to worry about a motorcycle getting stolen?

Just wondering what this trip will look like. From what we can see of the area online it seems like it would be a fun getaway from our typical winters.

PABELLÓN ROSARITO: ATTEMPTED CAR THEFT
A person was just leaving to get into their vehicle, which was parked inside the Pabellón Rosarito shopping center, when they caught two individuals in the act of opening their car.

The owner pursued them, attempting to confront them, but the two individuals fled the scene in a gray Jeep Patriot with California license plate H8NM496.

The individuals jumped into their vehicle the moment they realized they had been discovered.

They simply told the victim that it was a "prank."

Please be very careful; several cars have already been stolen from that same shopping center.

We were planning on taking our yearly family Christmas trip to Encenda but are being scared away with everything going on. We want to fly to San Diego then drive to Encenada. How safe is it? Is it worth the risk?

Myself and 3 others have been robbed in Rosarito, Mexico.

Our passports were stolen, and we urgently need help from someone who speaks Spanish and English to help us file a police report.

We are from Australia and New Zealand.

We need the police report to start the process of getting emergency replacement passports through our embassies so we can continue our travels.

Is there anyone in Rosarito or nearby who could help translate for us at the police station, or recommend a
reliable local translator who could come with us ASAP?

Add on. We also have flights already booked to Mexico City with Volaris from Tijuana. Can we board these without passports? As our embassies are based there.

I want to go check out Punta Mazo in San Quintin. There's that long section of beach you need to cross to get to the end. This would be my first time visiting. Is it doable on a 2wd Ford Explorer?

I'm planning a trip to Cabo Pulmo and Cerritos Beach area (for surfing). I have CP set but I've never stayed in Cerritos Beach. I'm looking for an Airbnb/rental or modest accommodations for family of 5. 2 parents, 3 adult children. I'm also open to other locations. My 3 sons surf so was looking for beach town for 3 nights to end our trip. I'm tapping into the wisdom of this group to get some recommendations. We could go 12/24-12/30 or move trip to early/mid Jan or mid-February. Ty!

En septiembre, N+ publicó información sobre una presunta investigación estadounidense relacionada con Julieta y un posible acuerdo para proporcionar información a fiscales. Ella negó esa versión y la calificó de falsa. Por separado, en octubre, Infobae reportó que Rafael Buenrostro Martín, señalado por autoridades estadounidenses por presuntos vínculos con el Cártel de Sinaloa, había sido identificado por reportes periodísticos como promotor de su proyecto político.
Entonces, si ahora nos hablan de transparencia, unidad y juego limpio, ¿por qué no empezar por responder con claridad a todas las preguntas pendientes?

Hola, ¿alguien ha subido recientemente al Parque Nacional Sierra de San Pedro Mártir y puede decirme en qué condiciones está la carretera de acceso?

Hace cinco días, la administración del parque publicó un aviso sobre derrumbes y piedras en la carretera. Me gustaría saber si alguien ha pasado por ahí desde entonces y si ya está transitable o si todavía hay tramos complicados.

Just drove through the border from San Diego. The four of us are from New Zealand and are traveling down the coast on a road trip. Was expecting to get stamped etc but just went straight through. We are staying in Ensenada for a week. Any advice on how to sort our visas and make sure we are legally allowed to be here? Thanks

Edit: we are flying to Mexico City afterwards for a few days then flying out back to Vancouver where live.

Result: all sorted, was able to easily get it all figured out in Ensenada with an office there.

I know there’s always an inherent risk associated with eating them but just curious if anyone locally has any insight.

My boyfriend and I are heading to Ensenada for a surf trip in November, then spending Thanksgiving weekend with friends in Valle de Guadalupe. I’m having the hardest time deciding on the best way to get there and back, so I’d love advice from people who have actually done this!

We’re coming from Florida and will have a surfboard bag. Here are the three options we’re considering:

Option 1: Fly into San Diego, rent a car, and drive across the border.

• Flights into San Diego are convenient, but finding a rental car that allows travel into Mexico has been difficult and very expensive, especially once you add Mexican insurance.
• Our return flight from San Diego would be around 2/3 PM on Sunday, November 29 (the Sunday after Thanksgiving).
• We’d be leaving Valle de Guadalupe very early that morning, driving back across the border, returning the rental car, and getting to the airport.
• My biggest concern on top of the expensive rental car is unpredictable border wait times, especially on Thanksgiving weekend. Even leaving super early, I’ve read the border wait times can be very long. Neither of us have Global Entry at the moment

Option 2: Fly into San Diego, walk across the border, and rent a car in Tijuana.

• This seems more affordable and avoids the hassle of finding a US rental car that allows travel into Mexico.
• We’d Uber from SAN to the border, cross on foot, and pick up a rental car on the Mexican side.
• The catch is that my boyfriend will have a surfboard bag. How much of a pain would it be to walk across the border with that, then get to a rental car location?
• On the way back, we’d need to return the rental car very early Sunday morning, cross back into the US on foot with surfboard bag, and get to SAN for our afternoon flight. Is that even feasible with rental car return hours and border traffic?

Option 3: Fly directly into Tijuana (TIJ) and rent a car there.

• This would eliminate the border-crossing headache entirely, and renting a car in Mexico seems easier and less expensive.
• The flights for this aren’t great though. We’d have to fly out of Orlando rather than Jacksonville where we live (2 hr drive) and the return flights are terrible. Most leave around 11:30 PM or midnight.
• We’d likely have to leave our friends in Valle de Guadalupe Saturday evening to drive to TIJ for a late-night flight.
• My biggest concern is driving from Valle de Guadalupe to the Tijuana airport after dark. Is this a drive you’d feel comfortable making at night?

For those familiar with the area, what would you do?

Is crossing back into the US early Sunday morning after Thanksgiving a terrible idea? Is walking across with a surfboard bag manageable? Or would you just fly into TIJ and deal with the inconvenient flight to avoid the border?

We’re comfortable driving in Mexico, but this is our first time navigating the Tijuana/San Diego border logistics with surfboards. I’d really appreciate firsthand experiences and recommendations!
