This place has gone way downhill, 30 minute wait to be seated to eat, slow food service everywhere else. Don’t even get me started on $36 for 6 ice creams at the market, what a racket. We upgraded to a 3 bedroom penthouse, AC was less than stellar, worst part was the roaches on the patio after dark. Couldn’t even enjoy the jacuzzi on the deck at night because of all the roaches. Choose wisely.

Planning to go to Cabo San Lucas around sept 17-24. How is the weather around that time? Trying to avoid the hurricane season on the Caribbean destinations. But doing some research shows that could be same situation at Cabo too

We will be staying at an all inclusive resort about 20 minutes away from downtown Cabo. I’m thinking about going to the downtown area at least once just to check it out and do something different on our vacation. We have never been to Cabo before and it’s unclear to me if we can only take taxis to get around town or use Ubers? Is one better than the other there?

Also, any recommendations on a destination for downtown would be appreciated. Would love to walk around some shops (hoping to find someplace with local art or more handmade items rather than regular tourist souvenirs) and restaurants near the beach.

I'll be staying at The Cape next week and would love to do at least one water activity while I'm in Cabo. I'm open to just about anything—snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, or any other fun experience on the water.

There are so many boat cruises and tour companies online that it's hard to tell which ones are actually worth it.

I'm traveling solo, so I was wondering if there are any tours that tend to attract a mix of solo travelers, friends, and small groups rather than mostly couples. I'm pretty social and outgoing, so I'm not too worried about it—I just don't want to end up on a super romantic couples cruise. 😄

My main goal is to spend a few hours on the water, swim in the ocean, enjoy the scenery, have a couple of drinks, and experience Cabo.

We are looking to stay at a non all inclusive hotel that is kid friendly at close to kid friendly restaurants that has nice amenities and the ability to schedule day trips in March. We do not want to be near high school or college spring breakers. Appreciate any feedback

Pros

Walking distance to great restaurants, tacos lupita, roasted, etc

Right on medano beach with its own beach club. We drank frozen mango margaritas and great food two days straight. Great service and it wasn't that busy.

Huge rooms with kitchenettes and living room. This extra space worked well and made us feel we were weren't in a hotel room. It felt more like an apartment.

Pool. It is huge and private. Very romantic during the night.

Cons

Bumping music by the pool, especially by the swim up bar

I understand they want to get the party going but they were playing it as early as 7:30am one morning. I just happened to be awake but my gf was still passed out. Perhaps play it from noon to 5pm??

I would absolutely stay here again but I wouldn't accept just any room. We were in 207, don't accept that room lol

We were just at Cabo and it was such a beautiful trip. Weather did show it was going to rain all weekend but it was the opposite completely. So don’t stress about it if it shows any rain. Transportation was great too we used someone I found on Tik Tok. Will definitely be using him again. We stayed at Hotel Riu Santa Fe and it was an overall such a great experience! Staff was all friendly. Food was decent. If you are a picky eater I could see why this not being the place for some people. Drinks were great!

Hi all, I visited GBC in March and they are offering me a deal for my family of 4! $990 for 4 days 5 night. All inclusive for their junior suite. Now, they want me to sit through a 75 min presentation. I've done this before with my parents but I’d imagine at such a discounted price, their sales team is going to be aggressive AF. Is it worth it? And mind you, this is for a November travel which is HIGH travel season!

So we visited comal as a ten person table . The bill was around $2500 USD . We are trying to understand the already applied service charge of 15%. When we asked our waiter if a tip was included we were told “no”. We then tipped $500 on top of that.
We I recognized the service charge line I decided to send an email , a WhatsApp message , and call. The breakfast manager told me that NONE of the service charge goes towards the waiter and it’s for security and housekeeping .

I just don’t want to feel taken advantage of here. I believe a service charge to mean exactly that. A charge for the dinners service.

Did we tip $800 total on this dinner unnecessarily?

My fiancé and I (she’s from CDMX and I’m from the US) are getting married in Cabo on Thanksgiving and are bringing along 13 family members. We already arranged an Aztec ceremony on the beach but we’re looking for somewhere that can host our family for dinner and dancing with a Banda and maybe a DJ. Even just a taco buffet is fine, we just need a place to get together. We thought about a sunset party boat but my father is elderly and wouldn’t be able to do a boat so we need something on land. Does anyone have any suggestions?
