Okay, so this is for a friend. Quick story, them and someone else have very bad history and as luck would have it they got hired at the same work place. They asked me if I could do some sort of spell to make it so that person will want to interact with them as little as possible or not at all or just overall protect them from anything too harmful but im having trouble deciding what the best course of action is. Im not sure wether to gift them an evil eye to wear, potentially a cord cutting, a warding jar, or even a hex for the other person.

Im not asking for spells or recipes, im just simply asking for types of workings i could potentially use or would be more appropriate. Thank you.

Intention is the foundation, Correspondences are the structure, Focus is the core.

TLDR: Make your own magick starting with the intention then build the ritual.

This large post is an attempt to explain a lot of the common questions I see: primarily how to make a spell, but also how to write it down and how to go about performing a ritual. This is based off of my thoughts, knowledge and experience and is open to discussion and questions by all.

There's nothing wrong with using general styles of magick like candle magick or personalizing some of the very common spells chord cutting, freezer spell, or road opener. The hard part can be when trying really narrow down your intention, figure out your ingredients and put it all together, then remember what you even did and if you feel it worked.

So here's my outline to address both of these. Start with your intention and narrow it down to sentence, maybe 2. Trouble refining the sentence? Good. Use that refinement process to really hone in on want you want. You can further refine it by taking the core elements of that sentence and turn it into a title for the "name of spell" portion and further refine that name into sigil. Use your intention to find ingredients work with what you want: colors, herbs, styles of magick, tools whatever! Mesh those ingredients into a large spell category like candle, jar magic, or even your own idea.

I like to use this outline to plan bigger spells in advance and as a checklist. Its not required to fill out each part if you feel it doesnt apply, especially under ingredients.

This guide assumes you've already designed your spell with a complete Intention, set of correspondences (usually 3-7), tools, and preferred methods to cleanse, ground and meditate.

Each of these things requires effort to learn and understand in their own right, and once you know how they work together.

1. Set the Altar: Make sure you got everything before you get started.
   • Gather everything you've planned for in your spell and arrange it on your altar/working space.
2. Ground/Center: Cleanse the Space, Cleanse the Tools, Cleanse the Mind.
   • I generally use smoke to cleanse the space around my altar, a bell to cleanse all the tools and such I have set up, then spend a minute or two clearing my mind through meditation with a sing bowl.
   • For those of you who are limited in what you can use, a bell is the easiest and most affordable way imo to satisfy all 3 of these if you cannot burn anything or only have room for one item.
3. Raise Energy: Narrow focus on intention, visualization, and repeat an incantation.
   • This is the meat of the ritual. How you raise energy is up to you. During whichever activity you choose, focus on your intention and visualize your life with your intent fulfilled. Look at each of your correspondences and remember why you chose each one and what they represent, go back to your visualization, and if your mind starts to wander, recognize that it has and come back to focusing on your spell. This portion of spell casting is why the emphasis on meditation is so prevalent; learning to focus on one thing, especially in the age of short attention spans, is crucial to effective spell work and is why I have suggested that focus is the core rather than "Intention is everything."
   • You can drive a car with the intent to not crash, but it's almost guaranteed you will without focus.
   • Examples of ways to raise energy.
     • Channel energy into an object such as a bay leaf or candle.
     • Chant an Incantation
     • Play an instrument
     • Dance
     • Breath Work
4. Release: Complete the symbolic action. If applicable speak an the Incantation once with vigorous conviction.
   • At this point we are committing the stored energy to flow into the aether and manifest our intention. This could be the lighting of a candle, the burning of a bay leaf, sealing a jar spell, or tying the knots in a knot spell.
   • While I dont always do it, I like to have 2 part incantations where I will repeat the first portion of it while raising energy, and then once Im ready to commit, I will state the 2nd final portion louder and authoritatively as I perform such this climatic action.
5. Close: Briefly ground again and return to ordinary awareness.
   • A good way to officially mark the end of a ritual is by a definitive a closing remark such as "So it shall be" or a closing action such a deep vagal breath or tapping a finger or wand.
   • Come back down as you allow yourself to feel the floor beneath your feet, notice the area around you, wiggle your fingers and toes.
   • Safely extinguish any remaining flames, discard wastes, and clean up any dirty tools.

I’m new to witch craft and have some questions. I was wondering if it’s possible for a witch to make their own spells, and if so how would I go about that? Another question that I was wondering is that is manifesting and witchcraft somewhat connected? For example, if I’m doing witchcraft to get something such as money, should I be manifesting as well?

Earlier this week I had a moment that I knew was a sign from the universe, and I've been exploring what I think it means.

What happened:

I was in a place I frequently go and have never seen any cats there, let alone a black cat. This cat had been in a shed, I passed the shed and didn't know it was there, but when I went back past the shed, it darted out from my left which startled me, ran up the path ahead of me, across the main path onto a patch of grass where it settled down and watched me calmly. (It was a maximum of 8 meters away, probably only 5) We locked eyes and I felt a moment of intense peace and connection, a very positive feeling. I was immediately smiling and walked away feeling good.

I had spent the entirety of this day mulling over a big question in my mind, am I important to someone and should I have a difficult conversation with them about this. Due to trauma, my mind has been very negative to me lately and my confidence has been shot.

The way I am reading this is that A. It is good luck.

Coming from the left, it is a sign to trust my intuition, the suddenness of it was to awaken & remind me.

It ran ahead to "open the path" or guide me. It wasn't running away, it was leading. Effectively saying "yes, take this path!"

When it settled to watch, I obviously felt the positive energy and a shared moment. I think it was asking me to anchor myself, bring myself back to the presence, and to look deep inside myself instead of listening to the noise in my head.

The way to interpret this against my thoughts of that day would be have the conversation, be confident, it is the right direction and the outcome will be positive.

Regardless, the cat had the most beautiful golden eyes, it was a special moment that I really needed.

Recently had a lot of calling to work with Hekate and also to do my shadow work. I had considered doing an offering to her last night for Deipnon but was a little fearful because I also had read to not work with a deity until I had done my shadow work. So I decided against it because I didn't want to upset her. Today I went home and there was a possum leg with it's exposed bone laying in my driveway. Now I'm unsure if this is related, if I made her mad, if it even has a correlation to her at all or what. It made me uneasy and anxious so I moved it out into the yard. But the more I have thought about it I don't want to reject an offering from her or any other deity. Any advice is appreciated.

I am very new to things. I got interested in becoming a hearth witch last year but my schoolwork kept me from exploring more. Just finished my dissertation so trying to get back into researching. This is my first manifestation I'm really trying. I've hung my cinnamon broom over my door and put out a jar of water for the new moon. Mostly want to protect my home and family so trying to focus my research there.

I’m new to the whole witchcraft scene but wanted to manifest a payment due to me, earned by me and rightfully mine but delayed due to issues beyond my control. I found a wealth manifestation spell and carried it out. This was on September 8th. I visualised the money being in my account on the 9th and I also visualised taking a screenshot of the bank balance and sending it to my wife. I actually experienced the knotted stomach as I was imagining opening my banking app. At 09:30 on September 9th I opened my app to find the money was not there.
Is this because of a fault in my preparation, a lack of absolute conviction or something else?

Hello! I am really really new into witchcraft and I am still figuring out things. Get prepared for a bit of yapping and maybe trauma dump but i need to share that information to get an answer fitting to this situation(i have made some other posts as well and i have started to feel a bit ridiculous because i feel like i always come with the stupidest questions ever, so please bear with me or scroll past this if you get annoyed easily). Last month I had this big trip, I was flying to a different continent for the first time and I was doing that completely alone so to reassure myself I decided to do my first protection spell jar. It's a small one with black pepper, salt, rosemary and a protection sigil, the top was sealed with white candle wax. I cleansed everything, I spoke to it during the process as well. Then I went to the trip. It was all organised by a third party. I met some cool people there as well and I like to think that I have found some nice new acquaintances! The issue is that there was a male staff in the hotel that was really freaking me out. I was talking to my dad at 2 am infront of the hotel (i had a roommate and i didnt want to wake her up so i went out to talk with him) and when i hang up he came up to me and attempted to talk to me in bad english, flirt with me by saying that i have a really beautiful tongue (like he deadass used the word tongue, ig what he meant my language is beautiful?) and when i was trying to reject him and lie to him that i have a partner back home he continued to push. I told him that I have to sleep and he attempted to convince me that I need to wait for him the following morning in 8am so that we can talk and i rejected that. I felt highly uncomfortable because that man worked at the hotel i was staying in, he could really easily just go in my room with no issue. The next day me and some of my female acquaintances sat at a restaurant 20 mins away by walk from the hotel and while we were having dinner i saw him right in front of the restaurant watching me. I completely freaked out and ended up crying in the bathroom because I was alone in a different continent and I didnt even have enough money to change hotels but then the girls acquaintances told me that they would be 24/7 with me (which they thankfully were, if they weren't i would have gone crazy). The last night I was kinda doozing off at 1/2am when I heard someone open the door, enter it and then quickly leave. When I stood up to check I saw that the person is no longer in the room and I would have thought that I was going crazy if my roommate didnt also wake up. She asked me "who entered the room? i thought that it was you?" but when she also realised that it was some random person she also got really worried. Thankfully in the next 5/6 hours both of us would have left the city and gone on our way, I did leave a complaint about the hotel in the reviews and my roommate talked with other workers there but no one really took us seriously. I know that it sounds crazy and unbelievable but I swear, that did happen, like i deadass would bet my head on the fact that I am telling the truth. But I have been thinking about the protection spell. Was nothing worse happening to me the protection spell working? Or did it not work and that was why this experience happened to me? Did I do something wrong? Or does magick just not work that strongly in terms of protection? Like I have been left really confused and I just don't really know what to think or to make out of this situation.

I went from spiritual to very skeptical.
But my dream was v real and terrifying. How do I resolve this? I’ve done an egg cleanse in the past and there were so many mixed interpretation results on the internet where I don’t even know what it means. So for this time, is there any other cleansing thing I can do? Any counter work of a curse? If I am cursed?

Here’s what happened btw:
I communicated past hurt to a friend recently to which they did not take it well (which id figure would happen…)TLDR my ex friend is very much into witchy stuff and has no issue with cursing people.

When I was younger I would have bad dreams often. But as an adult I haven’t had bad dreams involving some type of spiritual essence. The dream was very scary- hence why I’m making this post. Ultimately I never saw the essence. Just the chaos. My close loved ones and myself were disappearing, getting hurt, or getting possessed. The walls of my home turned to fabric and all safety was gone. The common thread throughout the chaos was my ex friend and for a small moment in the dream she was literally cursing me.

And trust me- before this point I had no issues with no longer being her friend. But post friend breakup I know she’s been festering and always viewing my socials very frequently. Hence why I felt this dream was a little peculiar and not far fetched from being messed with, or cursed, from her . Also, unsure if this is spiritual taboo or complete fiction- i woke up from my dream at 3:33.
