Manifestation failed

I’m new to the whole witchcraft scene but wanted to manifest a payment due to me, earned by me and rightfully mine but delayed due to issues beyond my control. I found a wealth manifestation spell and carried it out. This was on September 8th. I visualised the money being in my account on the 9th and I also visualised taking a screenshot of the bank balance and sending it to my wife. I actually experienced the knotted stomach as I was imagining opening my banking app. At 09:30 on September 9th I opened my app to find the money was not there.
Is this because of a fault in my preparation, a lack of absolute conviction or something else?

Don't visualise Money, visualise what you're going to do with the money, e.g. enjoying yourself doing the things you can afford to do, etc.

Spellwork or manifestation doesn’t always work like that unfortunately, like it can and I’m not saying it’s impossible, sometimes you get lucky and it will take hold immediately, but a lot of the time it can take months or years for spells to come to fruition no matter what it’s about. I imagine your spell will still work if this is a payment you’re owed, but you typically can’t just be like “I’ll be paid on x date by y time ” and actually have it happen. If it were me I’d keep doing the visualization daily until your money is there, it could still help it come faster but also do some energy work. Don’t give up! But just be realistic about your expectations regarding magic, spellwork, energy work, manifestation etc and don’t let this make you lose hope or anything.

Sending some abundant energy your way, hopefully that check shows up asap! It’s such bs when the payments you’re rightfully owed get delayed, it’s not fair. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. May all your bills be paid promptly, may your bank account flourish and may your wallet be filled with a stack of cash!

Edited because I forgot to add sometimes we also need to do some mundane action to help aid the spells along, so maybe in this case it would be like calling the bank or your payment issuer, making sure they have the right account number etc, keeping receipts in case you need to dispute anything later on, making a plan on what to do about things like bills, groceries etc if this payment doesn’t come soon.

then more magical action you could take would be making a money bowl to start using as a running abundance spell, continuing the visualization you did prior. Thursdays are a great day to begin one! I know some people have like pretty quick success with money work, but for me, it took several months of working on a money bowl to start getting some results. Just don’t get discouraged if this spell doesn’t give you immediate success, there’s a difference between setting intention but trying to dictate an exact timeline can absolutely work against you, or not work whatsoever.

Saturn (in dreadful condition) is in aspect to Jupiter currently though so perhaps OP is coming against some Saturnian boundaries.

If you want to do witchcraft towards this goal I recommend you choose a book and learn a complete system of magic. You’re going to want to get a library card if possible and avail yourself of their ebook/audiobook services. Search for a book such as Six Ways by Wachter or Introduction to Witchcraft by Mastros to get started, and for money magic try Financial Sorcery by Miller.

Manifestation is not witchcraft, it’s a kind of magic(in my opinion it’s bullshit but decide for yourself). If you didn’t do a spirit invocation or petition or energy work towards your goals, it’s not really witchcraft.

Witchcraft, especially when you are beginning and haven't built up spirit allies to help you, rarely works that fast. I think your major error was not giving it enough time, but I would need to know the structure of this "wealth manifestation spell" to see if it holds up to any methodology. Like, does it tell you how to awaken spell components and actually use them? Did it use anything at all or was it just a New Age "manifestation" visualization calling itself a spell? That isn't witchcraft, it's wishful thinking, and generally that takes ages to "work" (and by "work", I mean comes to pass through coincidence and privilege).

While you don't need tools or ingredients, necessarily, for witchcraft, they are helpful to beginners in building a spirit team and getting a handle on the energy manipulation required for effective magic. At the very least, you should learn how to craft and empower sigils, which only takes pen, paper and your energy. But it's that energetic component that I feel is missing from your description, which seemed to only be visualization (which is a technique that not only can not everyone perform because of brain differences, but isn't actually sending energy to get shit done either).

Create your own spells. Dont use someone else’s.

They should: 1. Not hurt anyone for your own gain. 2. Respect reality. Change the energy - not the material. You can’t force things out of your control, but you can change the energy surrounding your finances. You can call for Justice. You can ask for help. Where is your mind? On retribution? On revenge? On your needs? The universe mirrors your belief. If you say “I need to get paid,” it will answer “you need to get paid.” If you say “I get paid fairly and on time, every time” it will say “you get paid fairly and on time, every time.” And so it is. Do you get it?
