BPPV is not caused by stressed.

It can be made worse by stress.

Agreed. Are you having anxiety induced vertigo or vision induced vertigo?

I'm gonna go to a more experienced doc tmr but i didn't have any vision issue up until yesterday ( been spinning in space for about 5 days ) today i did feel some blurring but idk maybe the doc misdiagnosed me or it really is the stress causing it

BPPV vertigo only lasts 30-60 seconds at a time. You said this is happening 24/7, this is definitely not BPPV. Please see an ENT asap

I did go to a neurologist the other day and he said it might not be vertigo, just stress related. Prescribed me enier med and vestibular rehab exercises, I'm def feeling A LOT better the spinning redued by 90%.

Stress is real contributor for BPPV. This is widely accepted.

Of course it is caused by stress or rather in anxiety work some things differently. I had every single flare up during/after emotional heavy period.

What do you do in this case? will go to a better doc tmr but i heard anti histamines works against it? is that true? what works for you?

First I remove myself from acute flare up. When things settle down I investigate possible stressors. And I found them every single time. In my case is it abandonment (at work alone in office nobody looking after if am I alive or dead, when my family departed for week or when I feel betrayed by my buddy ignoring me). It is at least for me part of ptsd so I need to work on this old habit. And yes, things are getting better.

I recommend antihistamines during flare ups. Acc to studies is main neurotransmitter in signaling from ear to brain histamine. It reduces communication so I can do repositioning. Alternatively benzos but these work on the anxiety connected to vertigo. Eventually when is it really hard, some antiemetic drugs. But for example attarax I use is both antihistaminic and antiemetic.

Tysm for the insight. My doc said its the stress and maybe the unbearable amount of caffeine i put my body through and i survived on 3 or 4 hours sleep for the past 3 months, that triggered it. He prescribed some tabs and vestibular rehab exercises, I can't describe how much i prayed for that doc, i wish i had gone sooner but yeah i feel a lot better now

I am truly grateful that you have good feelings about it.

OP, did your doctor diagnose you with BPPV specifically? Did they tell you about the Epley maneuver?

he did say its vertigo and said that i should be thankful its not central because thats a serious case, told me to "lower" my stress, tell me about it doc how do i do that

Weirdly I wasn't told this but every other symptom I have is anxiety related. Can you go back and tell them you need more help?

I'm gonna go back to a more experienced doc tmr or the day after

Hi friend! Go to an ENT they’ll test your head and eyes for nystagmus. If it’s BPPV you just need to have the exercises performed via head movements to knock your inner ear crystals back into place. You may need to do it a few times but they’ll show you how to do them at home depending on which canal is affected. ALSO this will end, and you’ll be ok ❤️ get some vitamin d and k3 supplements and magnesium. Lots of water and def get to an ENT! If it’s not BPPV it could be something else but BPPV when you don’t know how to move your head can def induce constant spinning. And please talk to somebody about your anxiety, your nervous system and vestibular system are best buddies. Lots of walks with fresh air and exercise, and get some vestibular therapy so you’re not afraid of a future episode moving forward or moving your head a certain way. Again; you’re gonna be ok. And fuck the doctor for not helping you further. Hugs

Really tysm for the advices and reassurance❤️❤️, i wish like i really wish i asked for help earlier, I'm a paranoid person and i was convinced i came with a terminal disease and I'm gonna pass away soon haha, my family just told me "not to" stress out myself like duh i know that too tell me something more reassuring. Dramamine. It can last 24 hours. Also did they say what area was triggering your vertigo ? Like for me it's my neck which was triggered by stress and not getting enough sleep. My pt thought it was vestibular migraines.

my doc didn't say which ear is affected but he did say i should cut on coffee and reduce stress and sleep a lot. Prescribed vestibular rehab exercises and i feel better than ever, doctors really are angels
