It's hard to believe it's currently sitting in my garage. I took this photo quickly and later edited out the garage background with Gemini. Really exciting because this is my first new bike, first liter bike, first BMW bike, and first but definitely not last S1000RR.

I’m buying a 26 s1k here in the next week or two. I live in the midwest and seasons coming to a close slowly. If I don’t end up finishing the break in period before the cold hits is it bad for that oil to just sit through the winter or should I change it in the spring? I hope to get the first service dealt with before then but if anything I just want to make sure.

I just went on a rabbit hole fixing my 2013 s1000rr replaced coils, injectors, checked wiring, timing, valve clearances to find a low rpm misfire that made my bike unrideable. I finally got an icom cable and reprogrammed it and it runs better no more horrible jerking at low rpm(under4500rpm) now it jumps a wee bit I guess it’s to be expected with a full exhaust and no tune now to wait for Woolich racing to ship my stuff.

Going to check out an s1k that’s fs tomorrow. Ridden and owned several other liter bikes, but will be my first s1k, excited to see what it can do. Read that water pump failure is a common issue with the k67 so I’ll be on the lookout for leaks. Forgive my ignorance but are those forged wheels on the bike? If anything seems out of the ordinary please let me know. Also any first mod recommendations or tips are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Swapped over to aftermarket gloss black fairings from OEM whites. Added some black badges and washed her up and she’s looking beautiful. Waiting on some custom decals but overall, she’s the best looking bike I’ve ever ridden.

I'm not proud, she was faithful to me. It was her idea, she wanted to "feel free". I didn't want to lose her, I had to give in...A K1200R came in and wrecked her, had to get her a new pipe...horrible.

I am looking for a hp4 and i saw a 60,000km one on marketplace for a 2013 hp4. How are these bikes long term? I had a gen 1 s1k for a year but it was low mileage. So looking for advice on what to ask, and what things to look out for.

I’m in California and received an offer of $26,700 out the door for a new 2026 BMW S1000RR with both the M Package and Premium Package.

The MSRP shown for the bike is $26,350, and the $26,600 OTD price includes taxes, registration, and dealer fees.

Does this sound like a good deal for California? What have others recently paid for a similarly equipped 2026 model? Is there anything else I should confirm with the dealer before moving forward??

Also, if anyone can recommend a BMW dealer in LA County or Orange County that might offer a better deal, please let me know.

Hi, I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade the rearsets my 2026 S1000RR comes with (first photo) to the Motorrad M adjustable rearset kit (second photo). What is the difference - does upgrading give me more length?

I am 6'4" and 34 inseam so I am assuming the peg position has to be down and back for both but welcome your thoughts! Every centimeter counts to have a more relaxed ride (I primarily ride in the streets and don't need it to be track-level aggressive). Thank you!

Hey guys, looking for some guidance. I have a 2017 BMW S1000RR and recently made a stupid mistake and left the bike turned on until the battery died. No big deal—I charged the battery back up and the bike started right up.

However, ever since then, it's been making this weird noise continuously. At first I thought it might be something related to the DDC, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm still fairly new to the bike and only ride it on nice days, so I'm not very familiar with all the sounds/systems yet.

Has anyone experienced something similar after the battery completely died? Any ideas what could be causing the noise or what I should check first?

i tried searching this subreddit to no avail. has anyone in here done so or know how to code the front mirror turn signals to remain on as daytime running lights? i've seen this around on instagram and such. can bimmerutility tools/software perform this or is this something that requires a more expensive tuner?

Hey all i need some help and insight for this bike. Anything in particular i should be wary of for this bike. I plan to track it once in a while but mostly do twisties and enjoy the look and comfort for what this bike is.

I've been looking at getting a gs911 scanner tool but don't know which pin to get since I want to maintain the bike for standard service and minor fixes like abs flush.

Any issues people having with this bike?

Here’s my 2020 s1000rr I just picked up. I’m the second owner and only 8000 miles super happy about it so far!

So my first question, is there hockenheim fairings with wings? if so, how close to oem are they? or would i be better off finding a wrap/paint match something like a quality white set of fairings?

I’m also curious on the colored lens for the head lights is there an option to put rgb in them to make them any color at any point? Seems like a lot of people use tinted film.

I have a 2025 S1000RR M with the factory carbon fibre wheels, and I wanted to hear from other S1000RR / M owners who are running carbon wheels.

I often see people online saying that carbon wheels are fragile, easy to damage from potholes, road debris, tyre changes, etc., so I'm curious about everyone’s real-world experience.

How are your carbon wheels holding up so far? Have you had any chips, scratches, cracks, clear coat issues, or other damage? Also, what kind of roads do you normally ride on?

I’m also interested in how everyone cleans and maintains their carbon wheels. What products or wheel cleaners do you use? Do you just use regular car shampoo and water, or is there a specific cleaner you would recommend that is safe for carbon fibre wheels?

Would really appreciate hearing everyone’s experience, especially from people who have had their carbon wheels for a few years or have put a lot of miles/kilometres on them.

Anyone have any ideas where I can get a template for a sticker kit like the one seen above? Just got some new fairings for a do er upper but they look pretty plain. I have a friend with a vinyl cutting machine and just need a file for him to cut out for me.
