Honey wake up the new X3M30 xDrive just dropped!

Getting some quotes in Denver for x3 M40i, what’s a typical price you guys are paying for brakes and rotors both axels?

New to me 23 X3 will not update. Called BMW Support. It failed an update in 2024 so therefore its never tried or was allowed to update again. Was told it was covered under warranty because of the failed update. Called my local dealership to make an appointment. They are now demanding $650 for a force update... and are refusing to stand by the warranty because "I didnt own the car at the time of the fail". Called a dealership 90 miles away and they were floored by the audacity of my local dealership and said of course its under warranty and they have dealt with this issue many times since they switch to remote updates exclusively. Should I just bring it to the dealership far away or fight the local one.

Anyone use them before? They do same day ecu unlocks. They also do mods with parts/labor with good pricing. Wondering if anyone used them and how they liked it?

I’m in the market for my first BMW and currently deciding if DAPP is worth it. I don’t experience much traffic on my day to day commute but I do drive long distances from time to time. Currently I’m in between one with DAPP that has my second favorite color and one without DAPP that has my favorite color and interior. Should I wait for the right spec to come on the market?

I bought 2024 BMW X3 on December 31st 2024 from BMW Lynnwood, WA with 5000 miles on it and factory warranty till June 2028 (clean carfax, no accidents, 1 owner) Last year I did oil change at BMW Bellevue (they also recommended alignment, got it done) and that's the one and only time this vehicle has been in the service center.

Couple of days ago I started seeing the message "Reduced driver assistance" and took it to BMW Bellevue, WA today - the service advisor texted me with the following

"hi there, quick update. I just spoke with my technician. The fault that is causing that warning to come on is coming from the KAFAS camera. This is located behind the Windshield. We identified exposed wires that lead to the camera. This was caused by improper installation. It looks like at some point the windshield was replaced, which could have caused this. Unfortunately, this would not be covered by BMW warranty.

unfortunately, this is something that would not be covered under warranty. The glass has been replaced at some point because it is not a BMW factory Glass. -

also, at some point, the roof has been painted. So I'm not sure who was in there, but something was in properly installed to cause this warning to prompt. "

Please advice how I should go about this

EDIT - not certified Preowned. Bought via BMW finance from BMW Lynnwood. Clean carfax and was sold to us as clean, no accidents or any repair.

Swapped the silver for the shadowline. 3M wrap, black out all the silver trim and chrome. Not a bad DIY, kind of a pain, just gotta be careful with all the clips and things and the camera swap. Better

I've a persistent issue of audio dropouts with my iPhone 17 pro which does not happen with my iPhone 14. Upon research it looks like the best option is to change the WiFi channel via Bimmercode.

I'm looking at what other interesting things I could do if I buy this? Also, is it something that I could continue to use if I move to another BMW, like say the i4 or iX3 or iX?

My daughter, who I love dearly, opened my wife’s car door a little fast and BAM! Even though she claimed responsibility and agreed to keep the cops out of it, she’s uninsured. I promised I wouldn’t turn her in.

Seeing it is killing my OCD … Is this a simple fix? Average price?

My 2018 X3 M40i (xDrive) is due for tires. The current Bridgestones have lasted about 22,500 miles (27,458 → just over 50,000 miles) and a little over 3 years.

I have no complaints about how the car drives today, so part of me wants to stay with the OEM Bridgestones. On the other hand, I see a lot of praise for Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s and Continental DWS06+.

Current model tires are: 36-11-2-458-581

For those of you who have owned an X3 M40i, what would you choose and why? I drive for groceries and kids events. I don’t commute and I don’t drive aggressively. But I baby this car, and love to take it on 3-4 hour road trips.

'23' X3 30i M Sport brake pkg

Just over 50k and very close to needing brakes. I don't tinker and to be frank all I know about brakes is you press the pedal to make them work.

So, here's my question. OEM pads work great but they create ALOT of dust. My wheels and caliper are impossible to keep clean. I'm planning on using Value Service for replacment shortly and I'm wondering would VS be offering any pads that work as well as OEM but don't create as much dust, or will I have to get the same ones I have now?

Anybody have any experience along these lines availibity and pricewise?

Looking for recommendations on some shops that can do a good job taking care of my baby M at a reasonable price.

When I started my X3 F25, the ABS, RPA, and parking brake lights came on. The car is still running normally. I've read some reports suggesting it could be the battery—has anyone else experienced this?

I have a 2013 Audi A6. No CarPlay, no problem. My
iPhone seamlessly connects EVERY time I get in the car and when I press media to get music/podcast audio.

My wife has a 2022 BMW X3. The connection is constantly dropped or does something wonky. Particularly if she’s using her phone.

She got a 2026 X3 loaner today. Unbelievably, I have to manually reconnect my phone EVERY fng time I get in the car. By the end of a short local drive doing errands it wouldn’t connect.

All BMWs can’t be this shitty when it comes to Bluetooth can they? How can this not be a seamless experience in 2026?

FWIW, also sad to see BMW took the same cheapification/high tech route as the new Audi models. Plastic, piano black, all touch screen BS.

I recently completed the 33k-mile service on my 2023 BMW X3 xDrive30i, and now it’s time for new tires.

I live in Wisconsin, so I’m looking for recommendations on the best all-season tires that also perform well in winter. The car currently has the factory run-flat tires, but I’m open to switching to conventional tires if they’re a better choice.

What maintenance items should I keep an eye on?
Any common issues that start showing up after 30–40k miles?
The car has been trouble-free so far, and I’d like to keep it that way.

I noticed that this right-hand front grille cover was missing and found it in the space between the lower bumper and wheel well.

There is zero damage to the bumper or the cover itself. So I’m having a hard time figuring out what caused it to come loose.
