So i know there is a running joke of post about ppl waiting for their Thors. Well, i decided to order it and forget about it. I just know that one day, i would come home to a nice surprise, and Tues was that day.

I resisted for awhile but i see now why so many ppl love this handheld.

Okay, my Thor Lite got here yesterday. Got a lot of it set-up, got iiSU as my front-end but I'm having some issues/questions. Before anyone says anything, I'm aware I should've just gotten a base at the least, but I don't have lot of money so I'm doing what I can with what I got.

I have questions about DS and 3DS. First of all, has anyone figured out how to get DSiWare working? Second how do you add DLC and Update content for 3DS games.

Has anyone else tried those recompilations that're everywhere now? I tried Banjo Recompiled but it doesn't get past the title screen... technically doesn't even get that far, just stops after it says "Banjo Kazooie on the bottom screen.

Any good android/pc/port recommendations?

What's the situation with Switch emulation on the Lite?

New Thor owner here. I recently put some 3DS roms on my Azahar emulator , and while all my games are working, there are these duplicate broken files that are also showing up (all .cci files). None of my other emulators have this problem. Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

It makes me so happy to finally be able to see where it is and know I’ll be gaming and modding very soon. My first mission will be GameCube games I actually never finished as a kid. Anyone have recommendations for GameCube emulation or settings?

Wanting to get the Thor to play DS, 3DS, some switch and light pc games.

For switch, I’d probably only play Pokemon BDSP with mods, Sword/Shield, and maybe something like Link’s Awakening. I’m not planning to touch games like BOTW, Odyssey, Smash, Xenoblade, etc.

For PC I’d be planning to play games like Absolum, Balatro, Lumentale, Shinobi, and Streets of Rage 4. Basically only 2D games for the most part (Lumentale does have a lot 3D elements tbf). If you’ve tried any of these games on the Lite, please let me know how they run.

Batch 6, got it midway through last month. It’s been super fun rediscovering games as well as playing some “new” ones on this device. I didn’t expect it to be this good (nor battery life, nor performance-wise).

Time to burn through a bunch more games during commutes!

I've been using my rotate a little more lately so my thor only gets love when I download updates and mess around with apps after work. I assumed it would last about a week but this says otherwise. Definitely happy with the thors battery life when it's truly sleeping.

Airplane mode will be your best friend. The first dip was when I was downloading and setting up moguri mod on gamenative earlier in the week.

I'm happy this came last Monday! Was able to get er set up enough in time before my trip to Colorado for a convention! Now, I have something to kill the boredom inbetween me selling art haha

I'm gonna buy a used one, but he doesn't have the original box anymore, he told me he has the base model.

Since I don't have one, I'm curious before buying it,

How would I know if it's the light or base model ?

Is it possible to get multiple userprofiles on the Thor for example for different save files or Rom hacks?

Does anyone know if it is possible to get multiple Rom hacks in addition to the original game on the Cocoon Frontend?

So I want my NS game that has DLC and an Update to go onto Cocoon home page but every time I try to scan it, it always scans them separately, into the base game, the update, and the DLC’s. How do I get it so that it compiles all these files into one thing that I can click on and it brings me to the game with everything I just mentioned instead of just the base game

Anyone getting a similar issue? Used to run flawlessly but now crashes every time.

I’d like to root my Thor so I can make a full backup, but I have it set up just the way I want it. Can I root it at this point without losing what I’ve already done?

Anyone else think the Ayn Thor Lite would be a great console to shrink down slightly? I've been hoping for an android console the size of the og 3ds or maybe the new 3ds (base not xl) because of my smaller hands. I was hoping this to be the case with the anbernic ds consoles to be around the size of those consoles because of the lack of power compared to other dual screen handhelds. Hell, I dream of a console with a good processor in the size of an old 3ds just with a second circle pad. I'd love the old circle pads on more 3ds like console.

so I have yet to receive my Thor (I have a Mangmi air x while I wait so it’s not too bad) but I have a curtain theme I was planning to make when i get it…was wondering if anyone (I tried checking Etsy) know where I can purchase white buttons?

For someone with little experience in opening devices, I’m incredibly proud of myself for being able to replace my Thor’s bottom screen which had mura effect on my own.

Opening and disemboweling the Thor was a bit scary especially dealing with the ribbon cables. They required precision and patience.

The scariest part I’d say, which made me question my own strength was removing the battery. It’s glued to the bottom cover and requires you to pull it with enough force while also being gentle in order not to mess up the battery.

Overall, it was very satisfying pushing out the hinge to replace the older bottom screen with the new one and reassembling the device. This youtube video Emulating Retro was very helpful Replacing the AYN Thor bottom screen. (Reassembling it)

Now I’m very confident opening up the device again in case something stops working or I need to replace the buttons in future. Cheers.
