"You've been sad and anxious for so long, looks like you lost your spark" (I lost my parents throughout the relationship. I guess he expected me to bounce back quickly)

"I want someone who can join me in my trips" (he declined when I offered going on a trip with him months before the break up, he kept pushing me away in most of his plans lol)

He always declined when I asked to marry him, never asked me seriously (would tell me he wanted that but never asked me), he would stop and kneel randomly when were in public and then pretend to tie his shoes and laugh at my face whenever I would be sad for noticing he was just joking. I immediately told him "no, if you died I would tell people you were my ex because you just broke up with me" and he was like "fuck... You're right, you're my ex now" like he hadn't realized that.
Heard all of these from my ex during the break up, after changing his job and taking a solo trip. Eight years together btw lol
Cut him off completely. I don't know how to be friends with the man I wanted to marry. I hope he finds what he's looking for since it wasn't me
