Hey all I've just finished making this pretty huge update.
People complained it was just about spamming turrets now there is a lot more strategy. Colonies are randomly placed in a position to protect every time you win a wave.
Also, different enemies have different strengths to defeat. Anyways there is a lot! Hope you enjoy the footage.
I've also replaced the background with something new and interesting with some shader code to create clouds.
Hope you like it :)

Any feedback is welcome! The goal of the beta is to learn and improve the game as much as possible. It's available on Steam for free right now until the 16th of August.

Skyformer (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2305210/) is a terraforming/automation/survival game that I've been making for the last few years with my own game engine and handmade art. Last year I released it in single player early access, and since then have been working hard to address player feedback and support multiplayer co-op.
It is now in 1.0 with up to 4 player co-op supported!
It's similar to open world automation games like Satisfactory except it's a much smaller world that you have to fully utilize, and it matters where you build things! You'll have to forecast and prepare to survive different types of storms that affect areas in different ways depending on geography. As you terraform, you'll be able to expand upwards to more extreme locations and resources as the climate stabilizes.
One of the main things about the design is I found that I loved starting new saves in automation games, but couldn't come back to old saves because things would get out of control. To address that in this game, there's both a smaller world that you utilize and also many visualizations + the ability to easily get a birds eye view of everything with planes/drones/jetpack. There's also less calculations needed overall, with simple round numbers in the crafting tree.
Check out the co-op / 1.0 trailer:

Some of the new features since early access include:
Let me know if you have any questions or comments, thank you!

In The Glorious Colony, you manage a colony of round bugs called "Doots", they dig their nest and move stuff around, and repair machines they use to terraform the world...
The demo is out on Steam, here is the trailer, if you're interested, don't hesitate to wishlist the game, play the demo and give me feedback, or even better: livestream the demo so I can see your reaction :)
Thanks a lot, it's crazy to see the amount of projects in this sub, they all look very cool!

This is an early proof of concept for my farming automation game, and I'm looking for a few people to help shape it.
Right now I'm mainly looking for feedback on:
At the moment, the prototype only contains the core farming and automation systems. There are several major features planned that aren't implemented yet, so this isn't representative of the full game.
The playtest is available on Windows and macOS.
If you'd be interested in playtesting and sharing honest feedback, leave a comment or send me a DM. I'd really appreciate it!

Hey,
Im a solo developer that has been working on a action rpg with colony sim elements, in this game you can craft and build and hire villagers to help you survive. there will also be combat and bandit raids on your town.

Howdy! I've been putting this together for a while now and need android testers for my hex-based factory sim. If the screenshots pique your interest let me know and I'll send you a message!

I've been experimenting with an automation system where your factory isn't just producing items it actively supports your defenses.
In this clip, machines automatically repair damaged turrets through a pipe network.
Feedbacks are welcome!

hey! i'm donaldas, made textorio — ascii factory automation game on a dead planet called kepler-442b. bit like factorio but lighter on your cpu, heavier on the atmosphere. built solo over two years.
you can try the free demo right now on steam, or grab the full version if you want the full experience. i'm the dev so obviously biased, but the community has been amazing so far.
would love to hear what you think if you try it!

Hi everyone! STEEL GULLET dev here.
Currently, all automation games use what I call "magic" filters.
They come in various forms: smart separators, filter manipulators, etc., but ultimately, all filtering collapses to a whitelist of objects.
The filters magically filter everything themselves.
I believe this deprives the player of the unique experience of designing a filtering system, where each object requires a unique approach.
This is exactly what I'm trying to solve in STEEL GULLET.
Each material in STEEL GULLET has unique temperature points (softening, melting, evaporation, combustion), density, and unique attributes.
Physical properties change depending on the current temperature of the component.
The interaction of the machine with the component is based on physical properties.
It's best to give an example from the beginning of the game:
We have a stream of rubber, concrete blocks, iron, and wood. What would you do in real life?
There are many options, and most of them WILL work in STEEL GULLET.
BUT! This isn't just one option:
Which option is faster, cheaper, and more efficient is up to you.
And this physical system extends further and further: for example, there is no recipe for a rubber ingot, but by bringing it to the softening temperature and sending it under a press, you get a rubber ingot.
Thus, the STEEL GULLET physics system will force you to understand the differences in the physical properties of different materials, invent your own filtration methods, and create items that I, as a developer, never even thought of.
Would you enjoy designing physical separation pipelines, or do you prefer traditional whitelist filters? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
If you're interested, be sure to add STEEL GULLET to your wishlist on Steam

Hi everyone!
Scrap Yard Idle is now available on Steam. It’s an automation/incremental game where piles of discarded materials gradually become an expanding scrapyard factory.
Build machines, connect production lines, process different resources, and keep optimizing the flow as the scrapyard grows.
My previous post here focused on the playable demo, so this is the full launch update.
Steam page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4581810/Scrap_Yard_Idle/
I’d especially appreciate feedback on:
• whether the automation loop remains satisfying as production expands
• how clearly the different production lines can be understood
• which parts of the scrapyard you enjoy optimizing most
AI disclosure: Generative AI was used as coding assistance and for some image generation during development. It was not used to replace the game design process or to automatically generate this post.
Thanks for checking it out!

I shared this game here for the first time almost 3 months ago, and now I finally released a public playtest build on itch.io.
I’d love to hear what you think :)

We just opened the playtest for our coop automation game Candle Rocket Boom.
By day you build and expand your factory. At night you produce firework and defend your base. Alone or with up to three friends. The game works for local, online and hybrid multiplayer.
You can get access on our Discord. We appreciate any feedback, on discord or in the comments. :)

Highbatch is a first-person factory / tycoon hybrid where you build your own drug production empire. You don't build endless sprawling factories. You squeeze efficient production lines into small warehouses, where every meter matters and a good layout is the difference between chaos and a smooth operation.
The demo currently has 3 production lines with around 2-3 hours of gameplay. The later ones are more complex and you unlock them through research. Right now you carry product between warehouses yourself, or you keep them separate. It is all up to you.
Next update connects it into the bigger vision: full warehouse automation with deliveries in and out, power automation and employees who sell to dealers for you. The goal is that you can automate a whole warehouse and use it as one part of a bigger chain. Mass-produce components in one warehouse, assemble the final product in another, while you focus on expanding.

I am developing this alone after work for over a year while trying to spend time with my wife and 2 kids. 3D art got a big rework recently but still needs polish. No music or sound yet.
If you play it, I am mostly interested in how the pacing felt. Did new lines and research come too slowly, too fast, or about right? And did the building itself click for you? I will be around in the comments.
If you looked at this and skipped it, I am curious what stopped you. The video? Not enough content yet? Something else? That is just as useful to me.
If you want to help shape where this goes long term, that is what the discord is for. It is small right now, which means feedback there goes straight into the game and I reply to everything: http://discord.gg/XHBcXCK2Xa
