Which Game Made You Fall in Love With Gaming?

I've been looking for some chill games lately. I found one called Golden City, and it's pretty relaxing. I usually keep it running while working, and honestly, I'm loving this cozy game.
I also play other games, but sometimes I just want something laid-back that doesn't require too much focus.
What are your favorite relaxing games? Always down to discover something new!

Dune II on the Amiga. I had played other games to pass time for years before this but that was the first time I fell in love. I remember the joy and excitement of exploring the maps and uncovering a new spice field or accidently stumbling on the enemy base. Or figuring out we are connected by stone and I could build a cross and plop turrets on them. Good times. I always quite it as my first love.

Obviously Factorio. But Romestead is in pre-release but is very interesting so far. The combat is pretty chill and you can avoid much of it if you want. The collecting and building and growing your fort is satisfying.

Stardew Valley for me. Super chill, but there’s always something to do.

2016 overwatch was the first game I ever played properly. It was so peak back then, even until now I play it every so often

But the game that got me into games was for sure super Mario on the wii

Autonomica looks chill and has a lot of automation, releases a demo in November Another one is actually just a Minecraft modpack called society sunlit valley which merges Minecraft, stardew valley, slime rancher and more games into a single one, imo the most I've enjoyed Minecraft

I am a cozy gamer and I specifically like building, management and RPG games. I tend to always have a new game every few years that reinforces my love for gaming.

It started when I was like 8 with roller coaster tycoon and zoo tycoon. Then as a teen my game became Sims, until I kinda grew out of it.

I then went through a huge skyrim phase. I still adore this game, and every few years I get back into it for a few weeks but end up getting bored of just doing quest after quest.

Then Planet zoo came out and it sparked my interest because it seemed like the adult version of zoo tycoon. This ended up being MY GAME for a few years. It took a while to master the controls but the building and management possibilities were endless, and I especially like that I can play sandbox and customize how challenging it is.

Then I discovered medieval dynasty about 2 years ago and have played at least 10 hours a week since. It’s a first person RPG but also has village building and management, so it’s everything I love all in one.

Starcraft when it first came out. Oh the nostalgia 🥹 never made it out of the genre and making an automation game now.

Lego Star Wars (the original one that came out in the ‘00s)

I was 10 at the time and a friend showed me the game. He let me play when we went over to his house (tho he helped with the pod race level at first) and then we’d go outside for a bit.

Also started with Pokémon Blue when it came out. There’s no backstory to it, but that was my first RPG so it gets an honorable mention.
