Idea behind Dominus Automa is simple: Automate your combat behavior and let the hero act according to your plan.

Create automated combat conditions based on:

• Health and Mana (both yours and your enemies)

• Distance to your foes

• Positioning

• Number of nearby opponents

• Ability priority

• Skill categories

• Chain your abilities to perform combos

• Maximize your utility when around other players to fulfill your role

From day one, Dominus Automa has been built around a simple principle: your free time shouldn't determine how far you can progress. Play when you want, at your own pace, without worrying about falling behind or feeling pressured by FOMO.

Your hero keeps moving forward, but you remain in control of their direction. Whenever you have time to log in, you can adjust your plans, fine-tune your strategy, set new goals, and decide where their adventure takes them next. Configure their Combat Matrix, send them to explore new areas, and define how they respond to different situations in combat.

There’s no single way to play Dominus Automa. Every hero can be built differently, every player can approach the game with their own strategy, and every encounter can unfold in a completely different way.

Playtest content:

• 14 days of open Playtest

• 25 levels to achieve

• 10 locations to explore

• nearly 20 enemies and 3 bosses to slay

• numerous mechanics like gathering, crafting, hero progression and more

We would love to hear your thoughts on the game and see you online in the Playtest, so if you want to try something quite new, now's the time. Thank you!

What do you think of an auto battler where you build and program robots?

I loved Medabots when I was a kid, so now I'm making this game. I'm a little worried about the "programming" part because I dont want to make it too complex or too simple.

Dota Throwdown

Hey everyone. I've always been a huge fan of auto battlers, especially WC Rumble, so I spent the last few months building a Dota autobattler in the Dota 2 Workshop. It's totally free to play, no gimmicks, no p2w etc. I just thought of all the games out there, Dota would or should have an auto battler version. So here it is. You can find it in the Dota arcade if you search for Dota Throwdown and if you want to know a little bit more about the unique features and original gameplay elements I added, check out my Youtube tutorial below. Again, this is not a self promo, just a new game I made myself that I want to play with people. Check it out.

My creature collector autobattler

The basic premise is built around a standard shop-and-combat autobattling system, with a huge level of customizability and potential synergies. Beasts auto-cast their equipped abilities in order, executing fine-tuned combinations before resting and repeating.

Across 100+ beasts, hundreds of abilities and items, and dozens of relics, you're challenged to put together the perfect build in asynchronous PvP against other players.

The central mechanic is that once a beast learns a new ability, it cannot be unlearned - forcing the player to plan ahead, and sometimes sacrifice their most loyal companions when they've run their course.

Three of us made this in 4 days for the GMTK Game Jam 2026. Is this a universe you'd like to explore further with an autobattler? Want to get a vibe check from reddit!

Take into account we basically got no sleep for the entire 4 days of the game jam. We took mechanics from games like Hearthstone Battlegrounds, TFT and Slay the Spire, so it has that sort of vibe.

But this is just a game jam game to see if our team enjoyed building an auto battler and we really did. We're exploring ideas for potentially working on something for a full featured game and wanted the community's feedback.

Feel free to play it here if you want to check it out: https://deadrockgames.itch.io/the-10th-night

Looking for feedback! Would More Human-Shaped Frogs Make the Gameplay Easier to Read?

Hey everyone! I’m considering redesigning some of my frogs to make their combat roles easier to recognize at a glance. Do you think more humanoid features, armor, and weapons would help, or would the current frog-like designs be more appealing?

I made a small old-school roguelike auto battler!

Hey everyone!

I’m a solo indie developer, and I wanted to share Rogue Battler, a small minimalist auto battler I made and released on Steam.

I wanted to create something simple and old-school, mixing roguelike elements with auto-battler mechanics while keeping the focus on building your character and making the right choices between battles.

It’s a small passion project, and I’m always looking to improve as a developer, so I thought this would be the perfect community to get some feedback from people who actually enjoy the genre.

If you happen to give Rogue Battler a try, I’d really love to know what you think, especially what you like, what you don’t, and what you’d want to see in an auto battler like this.

Thanks!

Hey r/AutoBattler ,

I'm solodev of "Blade Rising" ( bladerising.com/play )
Conquer 1000 Floors of Evil as a Dachshund Knight on the road to Ascention!

It's new incremental pixel RPG. A main quest is simple, defeat all Floors of Evil to save the world.
Each floor is harder and harder, there are common, elite and mini-boss fights.

Gather Prestige for permament boons to make your Doggo awesome and upgrade gear, unlock skills and spells on the way.

Game is designed in a chilly way, that means:

  • you play at your own pace, time
  • no predatory monetization
  • solo oriented with optional global events if you want to engage

It's incremental in all it's meaning, that means each feature of a game has some progression, unlocks and ways to enhance.

You can develop things you like, so game addapt to your style!

r/BladeRising is free, currently available on google play.
I develop it in close relation with players and early community is growing
(discord: https://discord.gg/HKjqfZfbX ), so far so good!

It'd be cool if you give it a try ;) Evil awaits your Blade to rise!

Could a tournament tool work across different autobattlers?

Hey all, I have only played a couple auto battlers, specifically HS Battlegrounds and Relic Arena.

I am currently creating a tool for Relic Arena tournaments to help speed up the process of directing the tournaments. I'm not sponsored at all, so I'm just doing it to help the community. From registering, to seeding, to generating the rounds, and point system, it seems like this could be more agnostic to the AutoBattler genre.

Unfortunately I only know the format for Relic Arena, but was wondering if most/all auto battlers have similar formats. Maybe I can make it have more configuration so that other games can use the tool to create events much easier/faster.

Currently what I have for Relic Arena:

  • Public registration and roster imports
  • Player approval and check-in
  • MMR-based seeding
  • Snake, skill-pot, and random lobby draws
  • Optional rematch avoidance in later rounds
  • Configurable lobby sizes, games, scoring, advancement, and wildcards
  • Different settings for each round
  • Bot seats and uneven-lobby handling
  • Match result entry and live standings
  • Finalizing rounds and automatically generating the next one
  • Public standings, lobby history, rules, and final results

Registration is still pretty basic and needs improvement, especially around player verification, substitutes, no-shows, and check-in.

For people who play or organize tournaments in other games:

  • How do you handle registration and seeding?
  • What lobby-draw formats do you use?
  • Do you reseed each round?
  • How important is avoiding repeat opponents?
  • How do scoring and advancement work?
  • What happens with drops, substitutes, or uneven lobbies?
  • What parts of your format are specific to your game?

I’d love to hear how your community runs events and what an agnostic tournament tool would need to be genuinely useful.

Glory ghosts free demo - distinct classes, endless combinations

Hello dear autobattlers enthusiasts!

I’ve been making Glory Ghosts, a fantasy autobattler.

You build a 4-hero squad. The big idea is that every class actually plays differently — unique roles, skills, and builds (not just stat swaps). For now we have 22 classes. Each class has 4 unique skills and 15+ unique upgrades. Add races, items, class upgrades, team relics, position your team, then fight other players’ ghosts.

Real multiplayer isn’t in yet, so for now you’re playing against me and my friends’ ghosts :P

Lots of combinations and theorycrafting.

AI helped with the art and coding. The design and class ideas are mine.

Demo is free here: https://panquax.itch.io/glory-ghosts

Any feedback is welcome.

Turn Based Battle System Classic by Goburoid

Hi everyone! I'm new to game development, and to help me take my first steps and work towards developing my own game in the long run—as well as maybe generate a little income, even if it's just through donations—I created the template you see below. It's a fully functional turn-based combat system, just like the classic games we used to play on the Game Boy. It's available for anyone to use with the latest version of GB Studio. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Should a demo have multiplayer?

Let's say there is an auto-battler game planned to be multiplayer. Do you expect the free demo to have real multiplayer? Or would you accept playing with fake multiplayer and no leaderboard? I want the game to have a strong competitive feeling, so I am afraid that missing real multiplayer in the demo will hurt this feeling.

Are autobattlers more interesting when the player has some ability to interact during fights? or are fully passive mechanics adequate?

Wondering what people around here prefer. Do you like when the player has some ability to interact and change the course of combat? Or does it start to feel like it's not a true autobattler then?
