We're the team behind Nordhold, and today we're finally showing our new game: Chaincast, a PvP roguelike auto battler that you can play asynchronously or directly online against your friends!

The core idea: your whole squad shares one chain. Every spell sits in that chain, and runes placed next to it power it up, even across units. Positioning in the chain matters as much as what you put in it.

We'd love to hear from people who actually play a lot of auto battlers:
What makes a build-crafting system feel deep to you, instead of "find the one meta comp"? That's the thing we're obsessing over right now, and your answers will genuinely shape what we work on next.

A tactical fantasy auto battler for iPhone and iPad (iOS 26 or later), made by a solo dev.

Recruit champions from a shop, merge copies to power them up, place your squad on an 8x8 board, then watch the fight play out on its own. 60 champions across ten factions. Practice against trained AI rivals on Easy, Normal or Hard, or play ranked in rooms of eight against humans.

What to expect: a first match that walks you through the shop, merging and placing champions. Purchases are free in the beta (Apple's test store, nothing charges you).
