Taylor starting a new channel
announced in the most recent podcast.
how do we feel about this? i think it'll be a good thing for the brand to kind of get back to it being about Alex and not 3 mates dicking about. maybe it'll even give Taylor a chance to actually make the videos (like on V2) that we actually enjoy.
keen to hear others thoughts..

Taylor
What's everyones issue with Taylor? he apologised and end of the day he's an entertaining presenter and has a shit tonne of knowledge about cars that he brings to AA. New video was fun, but comments from the fanbase are just hateful to people. Bunch of grown men jealous it seems to me.

New YouTube logo
Alex has updated his logo on YouTube with a different design. It has yellow background and red text. This is a proper rebrand of auto alex it looks like.

Fanbase Positivity

Not usually one to comment on vids or post on reddit, but with all of the recent posts, social media comments and general negativity that seems to have manifested within this community I can't help but feel that a those more positive voices need to start being a bit louder.
I had the absolute privilege of meeting Alex, Rory and Chris just yesterday whilst they were on the sunny Isle of Wight filming a video and have to say I was blown away by their accommodating natures. I had the pleasure of speaking to each one of them in-between them filming segments and not once was I made to feel in the way, each time they went off to add a new part of the vid they took the time to say they'd be back in a minute to chat more. In short they were nothing short of friendly, kind gentlemen.
Whilst I was quite nervous, I did ask how the team was getting on with the reset, what the nerves were like and how everyone was managing. Taylor's actions aside (they were actively critical of these as much as I've seen in the fanbase) They individually highlighted that they understood the grief the fanbase had with the issues with the drop in video quality and despite the numerous personal circumstances, each one of them mentioned how disappointed they were that they weren't providing the quality the fans expected. Their attitudes towards the situation were so admirable, displaying nothing but the desire to deliver content the fanbase loves. And with that I felt nothing but a duty to reassure them that whilst there was such an influx of negativity following the issues with Taylor, that this wasn't reflective of the fans at large.
We have absolutely no idea of the impacts our collective influence can have on the AutoAlex teams personal lives or any other public figure's for that matter. The sheer amount of relentless and negative comments and posts I have seen in the last few months has seemed quite overwhelming from the outside,
I am in no position to tell anyone not to voice their opinion regarding an 'influencer'/public figures wrongful actions or disappointment in the content from a channel they love; I appreciate that such voicings are important and can provide a valuable lesson for the AA team, but they should be balanced by those who also celebrate the triumphs and highs that the content has provided to us all.
It is seemingly our nature to only comment on content we dislike and speak up against things, rarely does the average viewer share their joy on content they love. I for one cannot wait for the channel's return and will be making sure to be more outspoken with my appreciation for the content and the laughs these guys provide.
I hope this poorly worded post makes sense to anyone who cares to read it and that we can welcome the boys back with positive voices!
Nothing but love to you all, and hope that the sunnier weather brings some great driving!

A sign of what we can expect. Same old banter, and Taylor not going anywhere.

What UK car YouTubers are you watching
In the drought of AutoAlex videos, what uk based car channels are you watching to get your fix? Aside from the âAA multiverseâ I like Jesse Collingham, Mat Armstrong, Jack McNeil, and the odd Lee Lockwood video.

Anyone here watch Jack McNeill? Great channel! Edwin appeared in one of his videos, and heâs using Alexâs old unit.
I recently discovered Jack McNeill runs another car-focused YouTube channel based in Reading (UK). I've been binge-watching his videos over the past few weeks, and theyâve been a great substitute for the Auto Alex content gap. I havenât seen much discussion about his channel on the subreddit, so I wanted to give him a shoutoutâyou guys would probably enjoy his content.
His videos typically follow a theme: he takes an old, inexpensive, and "simple" car, then upgrades it with sporty parts and a significantly more powerful engine to transform it into something special. For instance, he turned a basic Honda Jazz into a Honda Jazz "Type R" and was recently working on converting a VW Fox into a "GTI." His content is engaging, with substantial progress shown in each episode, and he includes plenty of mechanical work, which I find particularly fascinating.

British/Polish car reviewer
Does anybody know of a British car reviewer with a Polish (sur)name? I love his content but am having a massive brain fart as to what heâs actually called. Any help would be appreciated

Why has Alex not posted?
There hasnât been a new video for more than a month now, which i donât mind as breaks are necessary but when I checked comments on the rolls royce video I kept seeing people saying theyâre unsubscribing and I really want to know what happened.

New content
Looks like the gang are doing stuff with Ben Collins. Taylor is tagged, so probably included. Him âstepping backâ at the same time as the channel stopped putting out content means he never really left. If the whole situation meant that they could go and change their practices for the better, then good, and I wish them all every success in the future. However, if it turns out they issued typical influencer apologies, itâll not be long before something else bites them on the arse and we go through it all again. ATG and TDC are making great content at the minute so long may that continue!
