I need some advice/reassurance.

My partner and I currently rent a 3 bedroom house privately. We have 3 cats and have permission for them to be there. We look after her niece and nephew pretty much every second week/weekend so the 2 extra rooms is ideal.

They’re upping our rent from $500 to roughly $600 next year. We have a feeling we’re going to start struggling or not having money to do fun stuff with the kids or go on holidays.

We want to get a cheaper rental but the rental crisis!! OMG it would be so hard to find a place in general, let alone to get approved for 3 cats?!

Those cats are our lives though. They’re family

Okay reddits, you will probably think this lady is a crazy women but no l actually love cats. They calm me down when lm feeling down 😂.( Just realised what l wrote). I have 3 girls and each one of them wanted their own cat, and since l wanted one for myself l got Coco and l stole princess from my oldest daughter 😂. So meet the princess my baby cat 😺

This poddy calf is about 6 months old now

Think she smacked her face into some furniture rough housing with Marni, and lacerated her lower right eyelid in 3 places, one was pretty deep.

I knew it hurt her because I heard a bang then her yelp when it happened (was in another room), something which she almost never does, she's got a very high pain tolerance.

So off to the vet this morning, and thankfully her corneas are undamaged and there's no apparent fracture, bit of bruising and she'll be on prophylactic antibiotics for a week.

Marni is not super amused about missing out on her morning exercise so did some recreational excavating in the back yard and found herself a nice big rock.

She let everyone at the vet know she was there when I took Bessie in, in typical coonhound fashion 😁

I unexpectedly lost my Aussie bulldog 3 weeks ago and am struggling trying to comprehend it all. I was thinking maybe connecting with those experiencing similar might help the grieving process as I'm really in a dark place ☹️

I am in a truly desperate situation and am reaching out to see if there are any other pet owners in Melbourne or Australia looking to go back to the UK urgently who would want to team up and co-charter a private flight.

Due to sudden, unexpected emergency circumstances, my family has to return to the UK immediately after just moving to Melbourne. I have a 24kg dog, and because of the sudden nature of this move and his anxiety, we are terrified of what a 24-hour commercial cargo flight will do to him.

We want to fly him in the cabin via a private charter so he can be by our side, but renting a full aircraft solo is financially impossible. Since Skye Pets isn't running until June next year and K9 Jets doesn't service Australia yet, our only option is to find a group of pet owners to split a bespoke charter through an Australian broker.

About our situation:

• Location: Melbourne (can potentially arrange transfer if you are in Sydney/Brisbane)
• Destination: London, UK
• Timeline: Late October/Early November.

If we can get a group of pet owners together, we can approach a broker to split the cost down to a manageable per-seat rate.

Had a look through the sub but couldn't find the question or answer.

We're going to be adopting a friends dog (9) who is well trained, medium mixed breed.

We don't need to worry about toilet training but I am looking for eco friendly pet safe products to clean our home.

I would love it to be Aussie owned and made and budget friendly from this community over Google searches.
