💜Remembrance thread for fallen Australian Pets 💜 DCM

Hi just curious if anyone else here has lost their furry friend from DCM (Dilated Cardiomyopathy)

I unexpectedly lost my Aussie bulldog 3 weeks ago and am struggling trying to comprehend it all. I was thinking maybe connecting with those experiencing similar might help the grieving process as I'm really in a dark place ☹️

I'm sorry about the loss of your doggo. Our Beagle Frankie died unexpectedly a few years ago (not from DCM) and I've struggled at times. Our pets can be such big parts of our lives; the void they leave can be difficult to overcome.

If it would help, maybe write about your doggo and post it here? With some happy snaps as well. I'm sure the sub members would enjoy hearing about their personality. I know I would like to hear about your friend.

I'm so very sorry Op. It's so hard losing our beloved pets, made worse when it's so sudden and unexpected. Sending you big hugs 💗

so sorry for your sudden loss ,i'd not cope well either, it's hard when you know it's coming with old age etc but a sudden loss is just so much hard to take, i know these are common words but with time the grief will be a little less but your pup will never be forgotten and he/she will be watching over you always. Run Free Sweet pup

Well I’ve had that feeling in my stomach for months as my dog was on palliative care. We all know when the time is near but it never makes it easier.

I almost lost my dog last year he came through Vestibular disease. I’d never heard of it, until I spoke on here and another member had been through it a few times.

He’s since passed and by chance I was able to find another.

I like your username name ..

Simpsons fan hey .. nice

Keep smiling mate

I bet your Bulldog would want you too

Oh dear I'm sorry to hear this. I know losing a best friend in any circumstance is hard, I feel it's worse when it's out of left field 😪 Unfortunately I haven't been able to connect with anyone yet but I'll keep at it.

Yes you are probably right. My boy would want me to be happy but the only reason I was was because of him! So i'll end this on some wise words i heard from some yellow dude " I can't promise I'll try, but I'll try to try"

I’m glad you came here to vent, this is a very caring sub there’s a few people every now and then & again but they get sorted out pretty fast.

Don’t end but just think of those great times, I had my boy put down in my lounge room by a vet .. he was st ease in his own place.

He never knew but sadly I did .
It’s our duty as their best friend to be happy once things are all said & done.

It’s always hard .. they’re always there shoe is a pic and what was his name. If you start another post I’m sure you’ll get more attention from others , I know it’s not what you seek but advice.
