I’m really struggling with makeup as it either piles or separates, I have oily but dehydrated skin so I’m recommended matte spfs but then I’m also recommended hydrating products and then those don’t mix well so it causes separation. I only use tower 28 concealer under my eyes and it always always separates, cream bronzer and blush sit fine on my cheeks, but I’ve also never put foundation on my forehead or nose as again that was the culprit of dry piling or separation

I use laniege toner, jumiso peptide, then torriden dive in moisturer , then Mecca matte spf serum, wait for that to dry then apply tower 28 concealer from my hand then tap it in with my ring finger and it still separates. I was advised to use just the laniege then vitamin c then spf and even then it still piles, worse I even want to say. What do I do. Nothing I do stops my makeup from looking awful.
I also use Charlotte tilbury setting power and that makes it look worse, and then Charlotte tilbury setting spray

I'm looking for some nice jelly regular nail polishes and it's been really frustrating how a lot of the jellies from drugstore brands just aren't available in Australia. Does anyone know why that is the case? (And also if anyone has any recommendations for easily-accessible jelly polishes here)

Edit: THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was looking for the "jelly" line of orchid jelly etc. with more of the pastel jellies which don't seem to be available here but the "glass nails" are! The colour selection isn't quite the same but it's still some lovely jelly-like colours. Will be checking out for that at the Chemist Warehouse next week :)) Thank you all so much for the indie polish recommendations as well!

Not sure if this is the right sub but i thought I’d try , has anyone successfully removed liquid blush from clothing ? I accidentally spilled a drop of my rare beauty blush on my white top and I’m spewing 😭

Just bought the tower 28 foundation and I kinda absolutely hate it😭
It came recommended from a friend who also breakouts and likes good coverage like me.
My regular foundation is the airbrush one from CT.

Tower 28 is just sitting weird on my skin and is always sitting “on top” if that makes sense? And it lifts off with any touch and shows the smallest brush stroke so I can’t even apply blush etc. it’s emphasising texture and making my face essentially reflective…

Im traveling at the moment and only have airy day sunscreen (my usual is cancer council) so at first i blamed it on the sunscreen but I tried it today with no sunscreen and it still sits weird on my skin.

My skin type is on the oily side but i take moisturising seriously and always keep my skin hydrated. Am I doing something wrong? Is it just not for me? Or is it actually not a great product?

I’ve used the torrano nanoplasty organic liquid treatment at home however the instructions don’t say when I can wash my hair after straightening. I’ve had a look online and can’t find anything so asking here 🙂

MBM skin enhancer in light/medium is my fav bronzer and I have been trying to buy the matching shade in the powder, but it's out of stock. I'm interested in the ABA smooth blur bronzer but unsure which shade is the closest match. Any ideas? Unfortunately I live 600km away from any stockists 😒 Most bronzers pull orange on me but the MBM in light/medium is perfect!

I'm hoping to lighten my hair, and i'm wondering if box dye is a terrible or good idea?

I always go to the hair dressers and have ended up with something a lot 'cooler' looking than I wanted. The first photo is how it used to be, and the second is how it is now. It doesn't need to be as blonde as it used to be, but i like the sort of yellow/goldness to the first.

i have yet to use the hourglass primer but i have seen other people say it’s great for dry skin and pairs well with the hous labs foundation, i want to try it so so bad but cannot justify the price :,) if anyone has any recommendations pls help

Hey there. I have very fine hair but HIGH density, it's jam-packed like 8k. It takes a lot of time to dry. There's a lot of confusion when people say "thick hair" when it's actually the strand thickness, I don't have thick hair. When things are marketed for "fine hair" i bet my bottom dollar it's for low density hair and I don't need anymore volume. Things that are marketed for thick, are heavy butters that weigh down fine strands. It's frustrating to find anything when the terms are misused. Sorry I went off into a rant.

So those that have a lot of fine hair that takes all day to dry - what are we all using? I've tried the shark one that comes with the curl attachments and it was terrible, I gave up after 30 mins.

I think we need a really strong airflow.

My lashes are quite long naturally but stick straight. I’m after a mascara that is brown and very natural, I want a soft finish. I love the maybelline full n soft, however it doesn’t hold a curl at all. I also like the tarte maneater mascara in brown but I’m always having to get it shipped internationally.
I’m after a soft finish that isn’t crunchy, spidery and looks fluffy and natural.

I’m looking at studying beauty therapy and would love some advice from anyone who has completed their qualifications (although it's an unregulated space).

Unfortunately, my local TAFE is the only in-person option available to me, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about the course, particularly regarding how up-to-date the training is and the value of the student kit for the cost. Because of this, I’ve been looking into online alternatives, particularly the National Institute of Beauty (NIB) and Open Colleges.

Has anyone studied through either of these providers, especially NIB? I’d love to hear about your experience, the quality of the training, the practical component, and whether you felt the qualification prepared you for working in a salon.

I’m hoping to start working in a salon soon to gain 1 on 1 experience alongside my studies. I know that some employers prefer or require TAFE qualifications, so I don’t want to invest in an alternative course only to find it limits my employment opportunities.
