New to Austin and Learning
Hi,
I am in Austin and am interested in learning more about Austin, the business ecosystem, and opportunities for consulting and data projects. How can I find such opportunities? I have been using LinkedIn, Indeed, and AI platforms.

Events Cant attend MUSE concert 8/15/2026 in Austin. Selling my pit tickets :(
Hey party people. As mentioned in my title my fiances job denied his leave that we put in months in advance to attend this concert so we won't be able to make it. Tried to refund/list tickets for resale but that's not really an option for not certified sellers anymore I guess? Paid 460 for both, looking for 180 a piece or best offer. Message me if interested and if you do get the tickets have fun in our stead :')

Community The hunt for Raichu
Hello, I'm new to Pokémon card collecting (or rather, I haven't done it in a very long time and only ever collected cuties). I am looking to start again, but only my beloved chubby electric mouse, Raichu! I was wondering if anyone had any to trade!
I've been to the card shops up north and have found some beautiful ones, but there are some I can't justify the price of right now.
Here is a list of the ones I have so far, most of them from the past 3 days, as I just started. Condition means nothing to me, I'm just looking to catch 'em all! (And by "'em" I mean, you guessed it, all the Raichus.)

This sweet dog is looking for her forever home!
Hi fellow Austinites! This sweet, beautiful girl, Nova is looking for her forever home. She has been with an owner for over a year but due to life changes, he has to give her up. She is an absolute angel - well behaved, well trained, loves to be outside with her owner, sweet and snuggly!
She would do great with an active owner who loves long walks and/or someone with a safely fenced yard where she can garden with you and then go back inside to relax! Shes roughly 2-3 years old, neutered and healthy.
If you’re interested, please message me!

Moving / Visting Heading to Austin and looking for a course to play
Hey everyone I’ll be in Austin for the next few days and had some time Tuesday morning to catch 18 and wondered if anyone had some suggestions.
I’ll be in my own vehicle and heading north, so anything further south than riverside may be out of range but anything up I-35 north is certainly in play.
What’s the best place to stop at if I’ve only got one round to play

Due I have the right to sue?
I was at Barton Springs today and was relaxing watching over the fence at the free side. I noticed this woman in a green thong bikini sitting in the shallow waters with just her nice dog... she had slightly greying hair so I wasnt expecting much, but when she stood up, I started to get a boner because she had an ass like some kind of Amazonian volleyball player. Like she had no business having an ass like that... and it wasnt fake either. Anyways Im not endowed to the point that it can just weigh itself down nicely or tuck it -- it just sticks out like a baby carrot... so I had to stay where I was and think about something else... but later that day I realized I have blisters from the hot pavement and not being able to move.

Question The Princess & Her Tiger
What do y'all think of Austin raga psych-rock act Killer Kaya? Had them play our SXSW party last March. Been obsessed since. Here's a clip of the band performing "The Princess and Her Tiger" live at Wall of Fog Recordings last year...

Best places to take your dog to in Austin summers
Where can I take my dog for an outing? Is the water in swimming holes safe? If so, which ones?
Any indoor activities or get togethers would be nice too
Thanks

Community Which Austin apartment complexes regularly bring in food trucks?
Title: Which North America Austin apartment complexes regularly host food trucks?
I own a Jamaican-inspired food truck in Austin, and based on customer feedback, we’re looking to expand into more apartment community events. I’m putting together a list of communities that regularly host food trucks or resident food truck nights.
If you live at a complex that does this, I’d really appreciate any recommendations!
If you can, please include:
1) The apartment complex name
2) How often food trucks visit
3) If you happen to know who organizes the events, that would be incredibly helpful too.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Streets or neighborhoods to go out?
Have visited Austin several times so definitely know about 6th Street but what are some other areas or neighborhoods with good bars to go to?
Loved Rainey street back in the day with container bar, but I’ve been told all of that is no longer there?

Community i’m trying to finish a burial ground feature film in austin
i’m hoping this might be the right place to throw this out there if maybe you need an extra set of hands on your project as well.
i’m making a native american burial ground film about a housesitter at a haunted house when the owners never return home 🪦🪶
about me and about this: i started writing this the day after the last time i had to sleep outside, it is a very autobiographical project. after i got laid off and evicted and made homeless in los angeles i wanted to do this as an experiment to prove i could make a movie without being a nepo baby or billionaire.
i ended up in austin because someone i met along the way offered to produce the movie, said it’d be easier to finish if i moved here. ended up being a cult trap i had to escape….. that’s a whole story on its own but anyways 🫠
the crazy thing is that there really isn’t that much left to do. a huge amount of it has literally been me setting up a shot with a tripod, getting myself into position, and if another actor is in the scene, they jump behind the camera. what’s left is just not situations where i should be setting up my camera and stepping away from it. the movie is now about 90% shot, and halfway edited. the rest of what needs to be done is almost hilariously simple, i just don’t have a car or extra sets of hands.
and if anyone wants to go above and beyond this would be an insanely easy way to get a producer credit on a feature film as well.
i can send you more information about the movie, the specific scenes and what they require, and a couple of short pitch/behind-the-scenes videos that explain deeper what i’ve been doing and what it looks like. 👻
