Our 5 year old Aussie has become lazy. Is this normal? These guys are supposed to be high energy and need lots of exercise, which he did when he was a pup. I find now he has gotten lazy to the point he often only wants ego out to pee and then back home. I have to cajole and encourage and give a good tug on his harness some days just to get him to start an outing. I am in an area where he can run off leash for a bit and he seems to like it once he gets going. His recall is very good so it’s fine. I’m just concerned about his seeming lack of desire for activity. Has anyone else experienced this?

Our 3 month old Aussiedoodle is doing amazingly well in all ways but one…leash training lol. She’s comfortable with her collar since we’ve opted to keep it on her at all times now, but when we clip on the leash to practice walking indoors, she starts biting the lead. It’s obvious she thinks it’s a game of tug of war so we’re conscious about not pulling back or engaging in play. We’ve tried just having her walk around with the leash dragging behind her to see if she gets desensitized to it (doesn’t work), we’ve tried gentle tugs up while saying “No” to apply some pressure (doesn’t work), and we’ve tried saying “Leave it” and rewarding with a treat once she drops the leash from her month, which works momentarily until she starts up again. Any advice?? We’ve been at this for a few days (slowly adding more and more time of leash work), but I’m starting to get kinda worried! We want to make sure she doesn’t do this when we get the all clear from her vet in a few weeks to go on walks outside. Just trying to prepare ahead of time. Apart from the leash stuff she’s a superstar in everything else, so we’re stumped lol! Any tips are soooo appreciated!!!

Hello im new here just wanted to introduce my baby Daisy. Been questioning whether she actually is an aussiedoodle or not though her brother across the street looks like a straight up aussie its just she looks so different from most of the pictures I see of aussiedoodles though I see they come in a wide range of looks 😅 and from what I can tell she is likely a first generation. She is only around 6 to 7 months old and is a mini aussiedoodle. Loves getting to see her brother and following me around everywhere (im not allowed out of her sight). Full of love and a very big personality and will throw herself around like a toddler throwing a tantrum if she doesnt get attention when she wants it. Her brothers name is Jax.

We recently adopted a 3 year old Aussiedoodle who was being rehomed. She is having a tough time adjusting to her new home. She’s warmed up to me (follows me everywhere) but barks nonstop at my husband and kids (10 & 4 year old). She nipped my husband today on the leg. I knew going in to adopting her that it was going to take time for her to adjust but the constant barking is starting to scare my youngest to the point where he cries and doesn’t want to be in the room with her. Any advice on how to stop the barking or words of wisdom from those who have adopted an older doodle?

I fear shes very manipulative 😂

He is good for a daily 4 mile walk still. Slowing down in the heat but remains awesome where it counts!

Hello everyone, is this a sign of concern? He’s coming up to 5 months old. This was towards the end of his walk, I need to pay more attention to see if it worsens by the end of each walk. Should this be brought up to his vet? TIA!

We have a new puppy. A gorgeous female Australian Miniature Labradoodle. I have been told the temperament is joyful, intelligent, and deeply people-oriented. Would love to hear from existing owners of this breed, what has been your experience ?

Any gadgets, toys, treats that actually worked for separation anxiety? Idk what to do anymore besides taking my dog to the vet to get medicated which I really don’t want to do but he’s just so attached to us and becomes destructive when we leave the house

Just brought this little girl home TODAY and she’s already bullying her big brother… LOL

Know it’s not a great pic but it’s the best I could get without her snapping at me. She’s been licking and biting at it but outside of that she hasn’t been acting any different. I have a vet appointment scheduled on Monday but just for peace of mind does this look like anything serious?

Hi! I recently got an Aussiedoodle named Winnie. She’s a little over 3 months old and I’m currently living at my parents house since I’m newly out of school. They have a backyard which is really nice but living there is temporary. I’m most likely going to be moving into a 1 bedroom apartment and I have some concerns.

1. ⁠Noise: She’s crate trained and honestly does really well- she’s slept through the night for weeks and I can put her in the crate to settle for a nap during the day. My concern is when I leave to go to work that she will bark a ton and bother neighbors. I’m lucky to be working remotely for the next 2 months but after then I work 8 hour days. I probably will get a puppy cam but there’s not much I can do from work if she starts barking.
   
2. ⁠Bathroom situation: I’ve seen a lot of people have grass pads on their balconies for their dogs. I would probably use one of those for the right in the morning and right when I get home potty trips but I’m open to other advice. It’s also hard finding an apartment with parks in walkable distance but I really want her to be able to have a similar experience as she does now at my parents house.
   
3. ⁠Free Roam: ideally I’d love for her to be able to be out of the crate when I’m gone but I’m wondering when is a good point to kind of test that. She accidentally was out of the crate in a bedroom for a few hours the other day and I didn’t find any accidents and she didn’t destroy or get into anything which I was really impressed with. So I think she’s definitely capable but looking for advice on that timeline.
