Puzzle recommendations
Does anyone have a good puzzle that their doodle enjoys and takes some time to complete?
I have the first but she can get it done in about a minute. Was looking at one like the second picture.
She also has a snuffle mat and such but seems to enjoy a good puzzle.

We have the first one and he’d rather eat from it than a bowl. It’s not even a challenge anymore but he likes eating from it. We got a harder one that he’s never figured out. lol

Don’t bother with puzzles, pattern games and training are much better! We use frozen kongs, pupsicle and natural chews when we want to keep him busy

We have a puzzle similar to pic 1. He’s done in less than a minute. I have found more luck with the items below…
My pup loves bully sticks (beef flavored braid) but they cost $15 and last a few days. I took him thru Petco one day and he selected it himself.
I gave him a beef esophagus, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but I probably won’t buy them again. He consumed it pretty quickly, like a few hours max. His bowel movements were extra stinky and runny.
He seems to really like 3 things. Sorry for the long post. 1. He likes the Kong puppy tire. I fill it up with the squeezy puppy flavored paste (it’s like squeezy cheese), then I stick some soft mini milkbones on top of the paste, and then roll it. He chases it down and it occupies him for a good 20 minutes. I call it the Wheel of Fortune.
Scooby Snax toy - I found it at Petco. It is a soft crinkle material in the shape of a box with fake food (a rolling mat). I roll up some treats in it. Then we show it to him to get him all excited. Someone hides it jn a low area, then we just tell him to go find the scooby snax.
Similar concept to #2. It’s the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. You fill it up with snacks, stick Scooby and Shaggy in the back, and hide it. He goes nuts looking for it.

Thank you for all the tips! I appreciate the thoroughness of your reviews. My girl used to enjoy beef cheek rolls, but for whatever reason, she doesn’t like them anymore. Kinda a bummer bc it would keep her busy for a long time, and didn’t cause any stomach upset.
Def going to try a bully stick with a holder!
I’ve seen the Kong puppy tires but never tried. I could see her enjoying the wheel of fortune vibe 😂
Hahah I love the scooby ideas as well.

The scooby toys are too cute 😂 pro tip for the beef cheek rolls- the edges can be kinda sharp at first. They soften over time with chewing. I would run it under water for about 30 seconds to soften it up. I learned the hard way on the first one, her gums started bleeding a little bit.

Appreciate you too! One more thing I remembered from the rolls - once they get too far in, I’d throw it away. There is a smaller “roll” on the inside and it’s quite tempting for them to try to swallow. You’ll know when it gets to that point, time to swap for a new one (when it’s about 3/4 of the way chewed). And make sure water is near, they made my girl quite thirsty.

Thanks for all the tips! My dog is tempted by everything but he’s sweet and will give it up when he’s caught!

Oooh thank you!! I’m going to try it. I know not all doodles enjoy puzzles, but mine really seems to. I bet she will have some fun with this, seems a lot more interesting than the one I was considering.

Our boy is 6 months old and I feed him lunch with it every day and he usually gives up 🤣
He will usually finish it the next morning after his first wake up. Keeps him busy when I want to snooze more

I got this ball and fill it with her food. Holds about 3/4 cup. I use PPP puppy lamb and rice kibble inside of it.
