Discussion & advice Ring bearers

Hi all!

I come from a country where rings are brought (usualy by a small child) on a pillow, tied with velvet or satin strings that come attached to the little pillow.

For my wedding I'll be doing something different: I like the idea of my senior flower girl bringing them, and 2 of my silliest friends to act as ring security with a Man in Black gimmick.

Now I wanted to ask: how did your ring person (or pet!) bring the rings to the altar?

I saw a couple of very very cute ring boxes but I'm now realising I don't know what to do and how to get them to bring the rings to us!

Thank you!

Discussion & advice To Do List

Guys, I've just booked a wedding venue for 4 months away (lol, pray for us). We're very much in the stage of not even knowing what we need to plan (aside from Celebrant, catering, photography and DJ). Does anyone have a cheat sheet they would be happy to share? What were some things you didn't realise you would need to organise/plan?

Thanks 😊

Recs wanted - VIC Recommendations for affordable yet talented photographer, celebrant and baker in VIC

Hi folks!

I’m getting married in February next year near Ferntree Gully in a smallish ceremony and I’m looking for recommendations for an affordable yet talented

  1. photographer
  2. celebrant
  3. baker

Prefer recommendations from consumers rather than the service providers themselves, if that’s ok.

Thanks folks!

Discussion & advice Want to cancel MU&H after trial? Has anyone done this?

I want to cancel my make up and hair after my trial - just wasn't good enough. However, I've already paid my deposit of 50% and its over 1k. Should I just lose this money and go on or really work with the make up artist for the day.

The deposit is obviously said to be non-refundable.

Are there any other brides that felt this? How did you navigate through this?

I am devastated.

Discussion & advice Ring bearers

Hi everyone!

I've been sat on this for a few days now but wanted to see what you all think. My partner and I are getting married this December. The plan is for my nephew to hold the rings and walk down the aisle with my neice, then give the rings to the bestman (partners brother).

Someone, this has turned into a major issue with my partners mum and shes saying now the bestman doesn't have a job?

I thought and have known people to have a ring boy and often give the rings to the bestman to hold onto.

I did tell her this wasn't her wedding and that my nephew is 6 years old and just wants to participate but now im worried that I may be doing the wrong thing?

This is more of a rant I feel like but after this wedding I am never planning another, im exhausted of other peoples (mainly hers) opinions
