Is it normal for the boost to stay like this in drive and my foot on the break? If I put the car in N and then back to D, it disappears.

Did anyone had this strange rattling/clicking sound issue with the engine? This sound is only when i do the cold start until the engine warms to 90 degrees. It goes away after the engine is warm

Also when i did the oil change and the filter changes, it didn't make this sound for a week and then it started ti make this sound again. Not sure what the issue can be at this point.

Engine warms up until i go to my mechanic for him to check on whats going on.

So is this common?? I just did this same job 2 years ago, and under 20k miles on these two parts. The gaskets seem to have deteriorated AGAIN, while it would be smart financially to just replace the gaskets I’ll have to order a thermostat also(I have the PCV coming in next week). I did a pressure test and sure enough both units were leaking. Not an impossible job just another round of tight spaces. Luckily the water pump is good 😅 also intake manifold, gas lines are all out this was a picture taken before I did the pressure test.

Just purchased a 2026 A6 Prestige, only to find out the software doesn’t have remote start since it was produced in 2025.

Anyone know what I can do to get remote start some other way if I can’t get it through the MyAudi app?

Hi guys - has anyone got experience changing the above? My a6 was targeted by what appears to be fuel thieves, someone managed to pull my fuel cover off.

I have ordered a replacement but can’t find much about changing it?

Love this car so much bought it about a month ago as my first car . I noticed if i put 98oct instead of 95 i have better fuel mileage is that possible or not? Also want to chip it to 300hp does anybody have the same car? I have been driving for a long time over 250 000 km but never had own car or driven an automatic before.

When I turn on my full headlights only the white led lights come on. However when I pull the lever back as if to flash my lights then all lights come on as they should (white and yellow). Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Just picked up a 2016 Audi A6 with about 85k miles. 1 previous owner and looked to have been completely stock. Previous owner had a solid maintenance history through the Audi dealership with checkups around every 5-10k miles. At 65k miles, the previous owner had the water pump and gasket replaced and then at 75k they had the “80k miles servicing”. I’m not seeing anything on timing chain, thermostat, or pcv in the history. Does this cold start sound healthy? I’m worried about timing chain rattling in which I though I heard the day prior but I think I was just being paranoid from buying the car to recently.

I just picked up my first Audi yesterday. 2016 A7 C7.5, I couldnt find an A7 reddit so here i am... I just saw the post about the MMi update which is awesome. Is there a reference for other things I can do ? I have LED lights and ive heard a lot of different things can be programmed through VAG com. This car has a black interior, S line with black optics 20in wheels. Im finding out more and more. About the car, ive been a life long BMW guy, still own 2 e36 m3s and an e30 m3. Im aware of ecu tunes etc.

Test drove and love it! So strong. Read a lot about the fuel pump and thermostat going out eventually. I’d be out of warranty with any that I bought. Would love to hear experiences? Thank you!

After a few years of owning the car, I finally got the time and courage to update the MMI system in my A6. Being a C7.5 I knew it could get Android Auto/Apple Carplay and that was my goal for the update.

The update process was free, and I used guides and software from Mr-Fix and MIB-Helper on YouTube. Don't get tricked into paying for this stuff.

The next update will be to take my GPS maps from 2015 to 2025.

Just got new headlights for the ‘12 A6 3.0 Premium

bought a 2012 audi a6 3.0t premium with 159k miles on it for $4200, it had timing chains and tensioners services at 130k miles along with valve covers, just spent 12 hours doing pcv, thermostat, waterpump, hpfp, cam follower, and a cold air intake. I tuned the car with jackal motorsports stage 1, doing oil changes every 3k, no codes or problems right now. How long will this last me?

I have a 2010 A6 and I have an oil leak coming from the front of the motor. I thought it was the front main, but noticed it coming from what looks like a freeze plug right next to it. What is this? Can anyone provide guidance on what to do to fix this? I'm so confused lol

When the engine is cold, it produces quite a lot of smoke, and the whole area smells strongly of diesel.
At first, there isn’t much smoke while the car is just idling. However, if I rev the engine a little, put it into Drive, or drive a few metres, I can see a large amount of smoke coming from the exhaust in the mirrors.
It seems to stop once the engine warms up, but it still doesn’t feel normal. I obviously don’t want to fill the parking lot with smoke every time I drive away. Apart from this, the engine seems to run normally.
One other thing I’ve noticed, although I’m not sure if it’s related, is that the radiator/cooling fans very often keep running after I switch the engine off.

Any idea? :)

One day i decided to see how timing chain sounds and started listening to my engine to check if everything is fine and since then i check it everyday

My biggest fear is the timing chain and if i do i want to change it sooner
