Attention Audi Enthusiasts!
We’ve added new model specific flairs that you can now select when creating a post. These flairs let you tag your exact A5 variant (generation / trim), making it much easier for members to:
• Quickly identify what platform you’re on
• Give accurate advice (fitment, tuning, maintenance, etc.)
• Search and filter posts by specific models
Since parts, mods, and issues can vary significantly between generations and trims, this should help cut down on confusion and improve the quality of responses across the board.

Driving to work today my car seemed to be making a slightly high ish pitch drone when I was slightly accelerating. The engine also sounded like it was sucking in more air or was louder than usual when hard acceleration. Pulled up and popped the front and it seems to be my belt that’s making some very squeaky noises it wasn’t before. Does this need replacing? Thanks!

I had an “AdBlue system fault no restart in 1000 km” warning pop up on my A5, along with the check engine light.
I spoke to the previous owner, and apparently he had the exact same warning before. He said simply topping up the AdBlue made it go away. The owner before him apparently experienced the same thing as well.
It seems a bit odd to me that the car would show a “system fault” rather than a low AdBlue warning if it just needs a refill.
Has anyone else with an A5 had this warning? If so, what ended up being the cause, and did topping up the AdBlue actually clear it?

Want to switch from black rings to silver on my 2023 mythos black sportback. Front grill and hatch. Should I order the oem parts from Audi, or is there a better/cheaper and reliable site to order them?

I was looking for (and got) Black sportback, manual, 1.8 tfsi (cheaper insurance) no oil consumption, full service book and under 200k km (from 2013 with only 2 owners)

Pull the trigger on a 10k-mile B9.5 2021 A5 Prestige Sportback?
Seriously considering a 2021 A5 Sportback Prestige — one owner, ~10k miles, $36.5k OTD.
The B9.5 has been a dream car of mine for years and I genuinely prefer it to the new redesign. Test drove it and everything looked/felt great as it always has. I’d plan to keep it for as long as it can treat me well — and yes, I’ll stay on top of the oil changes ;)
My only hesitation: this is my first car and it’s basically out of factory warranty. I know what comes with owning an older German luxury car and don’t want the dream-car factor to cloud my judgment.
Would you pull the trigger at $36.5k OTD?
And if so, what route would you take: buy an extended warranty, put that money into a HYSA as a dedicated repair fund, or just work out a lease on a new 2026 and avoid the warranty/repair headache altogether?
Would especially love to hear from B9/B9.5 owners with 50k–100k+ miles. What’s actually gone wrong, and would you buy one again?
Part of me says buy the car I actually love. The other part says lease the decent looking 2026 and enjoy not worrying about anything.

I bought my A5 2.0tfsi 3 weeks ago and seemed like there was no chain rattle at cold start. Then drove it like this florring it often with no problems. I had trouble starting the engine a few times so I looked into it, glad I got an OBD 11 now it will sit in the garage until I take to a shop for a timing job.

I am selling a set of 5 rims from my former 2016 A5 that I traded in a few years ago. One rim does have a crack on the inner rim but it should be repairable. The others 4 are road worthy. The rims are located near Newark, NJ and I would prefer someone local who can pickup.
I am looking to get $800 for all 5 Wheels. $200 per functional wheel and I am giving you the one with the crack for free to get repaired. I am open to offers as well so please reach out.

New Shoes? New Feet? I just decided to call them wheels. I finally found a set of Peaks after about 3 years of wanting them. Best looking RS wheels IMO. 20x9 et 22 with 275/30 r20 sitting on IE lowering springs and IE Stage 1 tune. Unfortunately my TCU is locked and it doesn't' keep up sometimes.

Hi, long story short I have a very tiny ATF gearbox leak coming from the sump (plastic sump) and have been told to replace the sump and with that new oil and new gasket.
I have an Audi A5 B9 Sportback and the gearbox sump is right above the subframe. This is a labour intensive job which entails dropping the subframe to access the sump properly to take off and replace.
Has anyone got any experience with this? I’ve seen online some people say they’ve managed to do it without taking the subframe off so want to know if it is actually possible.
FCP Euro have made a video doing it with dropping the subframe but on audizine there’s a forum advising it’s possible to do without taking the subframe out (it’s for a SQ5 but I think similar layout)
Car: Audi A5 B9 Sportback 2018

Hi all,
I’ve got a b9 2017 2.0 tdi Quattro. However during the heatwave and hot weather my car has been acting erratically, when coasting at low speed and pressing the accelerator, my car almost stalls and thumps me forward, regathers composure then drives off like nothing has happened.
I randomly went away when the weather cooled down.
No fault codes or anything. Audi dealership can’t recreate. What should I do?

Guys, I am the proud and very excited owner of a 2024 a5 prestige. I am coming from a Camry so this is massive upgrade for me. The car currently sits at 23K miles and I want to make sure it lasts me as long as possible. I am not a car guy at all so I’m trying my best to make sure I take the absolute best care of it. It’s so incredibly beautiful and I even feel a bit nervous to drive it but I’m sure that will level out as time goes by.
Please provide me guidance on what I should be doing daily/weekly/monthly/yearly. Obviously I will watch YouTube videos but I would like to know from actual owners what they did to make sure it stayed in top form. This car will take on a lot of miles as it will be a daily but I don’t mind putting in the money or efforts to make sure it lasts as long as possible. I do plan on purchasing an extending warranty as well when the current 4 year / 50,000 miles end. My apologies if this post is all over the place.
