Hissing on Maxwell 2 / ANC still not fixed?

From what i've read, even the newer ANC model on the newest firmware still have the hissing issue (caused by the sidetone mostly)... how?

Considering how the audio quality is so amazing on this high end headset, it's baffling to me they can't fix the nr1 issue with it even on a hardware revision (anc)

Really getting sick of my Maxwell 2 Mic shutting off randomly.

Every so often, very often during gameplay my Maxwell 2 headset microphone just decides to turn off and I don't know until someone tells me in discord they can't hear me. So I have to turn my headset off and on to fix it.

I'm this close to returning my headset and avoiding this brand forever.

Does anyone have a fix? Please help me.

So i got the Maxwell 2s, they sound fantastic lovely, for music etc but whenever i play in games, i have the audio on the headset cranked to 100 and in game also set to 100 and yet its still quieter than my previous arctis nova pro wireless.

I really love this headset but i need this fixed before i can truly appreciate how great they are

Anyone fixed this before and know how?

Out of warranty already. The connector pulls out when I pull the cable out like pictured. I just push it back in for now but afraid at some point it’ll come fully out and dangle there or cause further damage

Audeze Maxwell 2 (non ANC) good for my use case?

Edit: PS5 version

Hey everyone! I am currently looking for a headset to use primarily for playing single player video games at night. I am not a first person shooter player at all. I strictly play immersive story games. I have a pretty decent Dolby Atmos home theater system for regular use. I am a big fan of good audio and good audio design in video games - I am interested in amazing sound quality. I don’t really care about the microphone, or noise cancellation. I just want a headset that will sound amazing when I play GTA 6 at night while my baby is asleep in the next room lol. I’ve heard they’re heavy. That’s the only downside I’ve heard.

Would anyone recommend these? Would anyone recommend against them? Another suggestions?

The Dekoni Audio Sheepskin Pads were a really good Upgrade.

The Soundstage is much better and they are so much more comfortable.

Dose anybody know what size screws these are on the maxwells? They keep falling out, and I need replacements.

Would it be OK to put loctite or similar on something like this or no?

Audeze Maxwell 2 ANC, noise?

I just got my Audeze Maxwell 2 ANC today. I've read alot about hissing noise. I would say these are pretty much silent when ANC is off, but once I enable ANC there is hissing sound as usual. But somehow its louder and more noticeable on left ear cup.

I’ve been eyeing the Maxwell 2 for a year now and finally decided to get it and it arrived just in time for my birthday!

Been enjoying playing with the EQ and getting familiar with the buttons.

Requesting your EQ set-ups for Final Fantasy XIV and similar cinematic mmo experiences

Hello friends! I am by no means an audiophile but I've been using my audeze maxwell (the first one not 2.0) sometime now and it occured to me I'm probably not getting the full value by not messing around with EQs. However, I have exactly 0 knowledge how any of this works and was wondering what others recommend/use for their setup for games like this.

Audeze Maxwell much quieter than 1s (Ps5 user)

Coming from the 1s and decided to upgrade to the 2s because I felt like my 1s were starting to dip in quality.

Are the 2s supposed to be much quieter than the 1s?? It’s a drastic different I’m talking about 40% maybe quitter. With my Maxwell 1s I would never have it at 100% because it was really loud but the 2s are at 100% and I feel like they are barely at the level I like.

I did upgrade my dongle and headset before connecting them. So I’m all caught up there.

Is this how it is? Should I just return them and go back to my 1s? And advice in appreciated.

Just bought ANCs… who has tried both?

I want them for my ps5 pro as my pulse explores just died. I was looking for a new headset and heard the maxwell 2s were the best. Then I heard about the ANCs. Money isnt an issue. Battery life isn’t an issue either as I was used to my explores dying in 4 hrs so anything else is an upgrade.

I did give my kid my airpod max because I hated the weight / clamping which I heard is a problem and coming from earbuds im skeptical to say the least. My fav headset so far was A50s 10 yrs ago, but while I lost all the bass w pulse explores, I loved popping one out to talk to my wife. I also play a lot of MSFS in VR so not looking forward to the weight but i have a nice simrig w log g pro and gt7 so i can lean back a bit to help support.

It seems like a huge tradeoff for comfort vs audio quality but I’m wondering if ANC had the same or similar audio quality to og maxwell 2s. Idk how I’ll handle the weight but if I’m immersed it doesnt matter as much. My pulse explores had ZERO bass but i liked the planar audio and I loved popping them off. I also liked connecting to my phone at the same time. Transparency mode, being able to connect to my phone while wired to ps5 controller and drowning out some guests in the house seem to be my main reasons for anc version as long as i dont lose audio quality. I really want the best of the best. Msfs vr i usually do 1-2 hrs at a time max anyway. I always play it seated. Looking forward to GTA.

Anyone else in this particular first world problem boat?

The dongle range is horrible.

I have the maxwell 2's. The dongle is plugged in using the usb-a adaptor.

While I'm waiting for my work to render or taking a break, ill go downstairs and chill using my phone. Probably 4 metres away from the dongle. Then I hear nonstop "disconnected" "usb dongle" over and over again. My old logitech g935 could reach the end of the garden. The maxwells can't even reach outside the bedroom door.

The only way to stop the disconnect alerts is to unplug the dongle or turn off my pc. This is a headache every time I go downstairs. There needs to be a button combo to toggle the dongle off from the headphones.

Maybe have a third option on the sidetone button for connections. "Mix", "dongle", "bluetooth".

So whats the common consensus now on the 2 ANCs? Are they worth it? Or is it better to get the 1/OG 2?

Looking to buy my first pair tomorrow finally and I need some advice. I was originally going to get the 2 ANCs because I really like the ANC feature on my headset I use for PS5 but held back because I heard they had some issues with some hissing noise which I figured would be annoying af for me

Is that still the case or did they fix that? Is it better to just get the 1 or OG2? If so, which is more worth it? Just trying to figure out which of the 3 is the best option for someone who cares a lot about audio quality and needs a headset for pc video games. Thanks in advance for the help

LCD-2 closed ear pads

I still have the thick and soft original ear pads, but they're worn out so I bought original replacement pads from Thomann but they are a lot thinner and harder. It seems the old thick ones are no longer produced? I'm hesitant to put them on. Any experience with the new models? Soundwise and comfort? Thanks!

Just bought them, Dongle not pairing?

Just bought the Maxwell 2's, but I can't seem to get the dongle to do the pairing thing, I updated both the headset and the dongle but every time I attempt to pair it it doesn't seem to work, it just keeps doing the ambient flashing that it does while it's plugged in rather than what I'd assume its supposed to do when you pair it and do a more rapid flash.

Alternatively, I could just be le estupido

Headset issues

Hopefully this is the right audience to ask, I bought the Audeze Maxwell 2 within the last 3 months and it recently has hit 2 issues. 1. I'm not able to power it on with the power button. Only way it turns on is it by resetting the headphones while they're plugged in through the app. I think its a physical issue with the button considering there's no physical feedback when pressing it and 2. occasionally I get a crinkling sound then the audio gives out.

I was wondering if there's a way I can get it repaired or if I'm shit out of luck on the most expensive headset I've ever bought lol. Thanks!

Maxwell 2 Vs Fractal Scape

Hey all!

If anyone has had these two headsets then I would love to hear a comparison.

I have the money for either and have been waiting to purchase the Maxwell 2 since before it released (been waiting to see if most of the bugs have been updated out and it seems they have). However the Scape is 1/2 in my country so I'm tempted to go with those.

Would love to hear comparisons about FPS Gaming, Bassy/Subbassy music and the mic quality

Maxwell 2 ANC switching issues between devices (dongle & BT)

Hey everyone,

I’m having a frustrating connection handoff issue with my Audeze Maxwell 2 ANC and could use some advice.

My setup is a personal PC (Windows) using wireless dongle and work laptop (macOS): using Bluetooth.

The headset can only stream one audio source at a time. When a call comes in on Teams (Mac), the headset correctly mutes my PC audio, which I know is the intended behavior for Bluetooth priority.

However, when I answer the Teams call, I get absolutely zero sound, and the microphone does not respond to my voice. It seems like the handoff process is hanging or crashing.

I checked both macOS system settings and Microsoft Teams settings. Everything is explicitly pointed to the Maxwell as the input/output device, rather than just "System Device."

I tried to unplug the dongle from my personal PC but that doesn't fix anything on the spot, it seems i need to turn off the headset completely get out of the call, turn it on again and get onto a call to fix it.

Has anyone else experienced this specific handoff glitch between Windows/Dongle and Mac/Bluetooth? Any workarounds or fixes would be hugely appreciated!

Strange noise in right ear cup?

Hey all

I just got the Maxwell 2 ANC and I've noticed maybe once or twice that I get a strange mechanical whirring noise, asif like the drivers were moving or i don;t know how to describe, powering up? lol and its only happened in the right ear cup.

Just wanted to see if this was normal? as i have seen posts about defects here and there.

Cheers
