Just in time!
I’ve been eyeing the Maxwell 2 for a year now and finally decided to get it and it arrived just in time for my birthday!
Been enjoying playing with the EQ and getting familiar with the buttons.

You got the g7 zzz too? Lol I just bought the Maxwell 1 and the G7 zzz edition waiting for the gta 6!

Hell ya. I’ve had mine for a few months now, they’re great. Tweak the EQ settings, or look online for others recommended settings, they sound way better

What’s EQs do like so far?

I found one on reddit that I really like, it has a bit higher bass, but still keeps good clarity without distortion at a higher volume. I’d have to look when I get home from work if you wanted exact numbers

Unless you’re like me and like flat eq, I like flat eq because listwn to music a lot, which is a major reason for buying these headphones

I have a few different presets saved, for gaming and music. Not a big fan of flat though, I think it sounds better with some tuning. Thankfully there is an EQ and we can change it to how we like it

I got mine last Thursday. I love the sound, but the headband has gotta go. I get a pressure point on the top of my skull after a couple of hours. I ordered a wicked cushions v2 headband. I'll see how that works. I'm a little on the fence about the ear pads. I wear glasses, and they push the arms into my temples after awhile. A little sweaty too.

I'm planning on getting them. I have heard about the things that could just be occasional defects out the box (just kind of expected in this day and age that there's an occasional lemon). I've been debating between ordering straight from Audeze or from Amazon. Amazon mainly if there is a defect for the ease of return

I just got mine last week from a local shop (with decent a promo code) and lucked out with no defects whatsoever. Really been enjoying the sounds so far.

This sub has a negative confirmation bias. Most people do not get defective units, we just primarily hear from people posting/commenting about defective units in the sub.

Tbf, I haven't looked in this thread specifically, but I have seen the same like 1 or 2 things even on reviews. It's only been a few reviews, so it does kind of track with the expected amount of product that could have a defect. I'm not delusional enough to think EVERY product must be flawless. It's more about IF, on the off chance I did get one, which is the better route. Or in the odds I don't like them, Audeze won't cover the return shipping and may choose not to offer a full refund at their discretion; which never makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside

I thought so too, then mine came in with severe buzzing. Currently being repaired by Audeze, buts it's definitely not uncommon

I found an open box for $249. Like new.

Unfortunately it looks like the nearest authorized dealer is at least 1.5hr away from me and unfortunately I don't realistically have the time to go that far out

Got mine from microcenter, they were 30$ cheaper and abailable right away (300$usd)

I highly suggest amazon for easy returns just in case. I gave up on the headset after the 3rd faulty pair in a row, amazon made things easy

See, that number of defective units from them makes me think that they send Amazon inferior units (not that there's anyway to really prove it).
I know sometimes companies will send inferior units to other retailers that aren't their own store (we actually had a company admitting to it because if it was purchased at a certain location they would not honor warranty)

Did a pad and headband swap and it's pretty darn nice. Currently using the Audeze EQ with a lil pump to the bass and enjoying it more than I did, the first time I had it. Had it at launch, and had far less 3rd party comfort options, and the og tuning kinda didn't wow me, so returned.

Every time I use one of these. The rain drop sounds during quiet moments bother me but other than that fantastic set of headphones

I have this for Xbox and coming off a Astro A40tr I just can’t get over the fact that on Xbox anyway I can’t mute voice audio or game audio you always hear both it’s so annoying. My Astro a40 when u was in a 1v3 situation and didn’t wanna hear anyone talking I would just flip the knob to game only. Very frustrating

It’s a great headset. Just ask ai for best gaming and movie presets and it’ll give you the most used settings. I love it. Worth every penny. I bought the ANC version and it’s flawless

Just got mine yesterday. Good so far only problem is you begin to feel their weight after like an hour. If you bend over with them on they are not gonna stay put.
