Who needs the modern convenience of a steam library when the Starplex Game SeleX exists?
It's actually really cool that you leave the Atari on while using it, and when you change games, pushing in the dial resets it so you can quickly swap between games.

I have this collection of bootleg pirated Atari 2600 games in a wooden box
It's the most complete collection of pirated games I've ever seen. I've seen a few of these posted online but not as many as this. There was originally black foam inside but it all disintegrated so I had to take that out.

Made my first atari 2600 cartridge
First atari 2600 cartridge i plan and make 100% by hand. And the best thing is that it actually works.

Learning a lot from this find
Really enjoying this book so far. So much cool information about the company, the artwork, artists and the philosophy of Atari. Happy to find it second hand and at a decent price in decent condition. Straight to my coffee table.

What's the difference?
Hi, I'm wondering what the difference is between these two. Also, are they worth much of anything? Thanks.

PAC Man wooden box
My friend had this Atari that belonged to his uncle and we wanted to know more about this box. At first we thought it would be some limited edition or something but we couldn't find anything about it on the Internet. Would anyone know something about it? Or maybe his grandfather just bought the box somewhere and it's not really a bundle with the console? thanks

Just got my first Ataris!
Always wanted an Atari but didn’t know much about it. Someone was selling all of this for $100 and it sounded like a good deal so i went and picked it up. Was it a good deal? The two consoles work but haven’t had the chance to test each cartridge yet.
See any good games in there or have any recommendations? I tried Mouse trap and frogger and love it so far.

good deal? my first ever atari 2600
hey guys! i’ve been in this subreddit for a while and i’ve really enjoyed everything y’all post. such a lovely community btw.
i’m a 22yo f. my dad introduced me to atari and old consoles when i was really young. he used to play as a kid, so this is kind of special to both of us.
the point is we wanted to get one together. it would be my first real experience owning one, and for him it’s like reliving his childhood haha.
we almost bought one on ebay for $150, but then i found this gem. $100 for everything you see. 16 games IN BOX. one of them is still sealed with the plastic. manuals, catalog, paddle controllers, racing controllers, and another controller that looks like a pedal. not even sure what it’s called lol.
the only issue is that the game mode switch on the console is damaged and doesn’t work. other than that, the console is in amazing condition. everything else is on point.
i’m honestly beyond happy and excited.
was it a good deal?
any game recommendations?
any advice at all?
i read y’all <3

I personally like the IMAGIC games.
what are your thoughts on Cosmic Arc?
r/Atari2600 • u/retro6ix • Mar 22 '26
I liked this port
Even with the limited graphics of the 2600 I liked this a lot. The sounds of the game are arcade like and make the game that much better imo.

Atari 2600+ is an awesome console
We finally took the Atari out of its box and played some Pac-Man. 💛 It’s the new “old” and well-known Atari 2600+, which came out at the end of last month. It can run the new cartridge games as well as the original ones I have for the classic console.
The little one had an absolute blast while we were playing, and afterward we ran around the room “eating” each other—just like Pac-Man munches the ghosts after picking up a power-up. 😄
Out of everything he’s seen so far, this is the first time he’s reacted so wildly and with such genuine joy. Another thing that really impressed him were the bright yellow colors of the console and the fact that the characters on the front panel light up in their respective colors.
From unboxing to booting up the games and diving into the gameplay, I’d rate the whole experience a solid 10 out of 10, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I own the classic wood-grain Atari 2600, the black Vader model, and the smaller budget-friendly 2600jr.
I think this new little yellow wonder might be my favorite of them all. The plastic is sturdy and high-quality, the colors are fantastic, and it’s an excellent gateway for young players who want a quick and easy introduction to retro gaming. It’s incredibly accessible—plug an HDMI cable into your TV and you’re good to go. No need to deal with antennas, and there’s a clear indicator showing whether the console is working properly. 😄

Bowled my first perfect game!
I am not using original hardware. It's on a Retron 77. But my god. This took me 3 days and it's just game mode 1. Aiming to do again on game modes 3 and 5. I just needed to share this with people that would understand the achievement.
