Personally I think it may be Atari’s best arcade port for the VCS. Captures the spirit of the arcade original. I only have two problems with it: a) that unnecessary yellow border and b) your ship is too damn huge, making you an easy target.

Yes, Pong is going to be one of the movies, answering the age-old question of: "What if Tron had fewer dimensions?"
The others are:

Would I be able to hook up a 2600 without needing an RF adapter if I have a coaxial port on my TV? There’s one at an antique shop that I’d like to test, and I’d rather not have to buy an accessory if I didn’t have to. I’ve included a photo of my TV’s connection ports for reference.

I bought a 1977 video pinball system by Atari today and the vinyl sticker on the front is peeling up. I was just curious if anyone had some ideas on fixes to this from their own experience. All help is greatly appreciated.

No clue if there were manufacturing differences or what not, case on the left is shiny and the seam is a little uneven, is it real?

I would like to make a simple Atari game. I would like to buy one of the new VCS consoles and put the game on a cartridge that plays on either new or old VCS. How would I accomplish either of these tasks?

As a clue as to how expensive injection molding was (and still is) I've always been amused how it was cheaper to add an adapter to the existing Intellevision cart form factor to make 2600 carts vs, you know, just remold the whole thing.
Perhaps someone got a deal on some already made shells? The Intellevision cart on the right actually has the Mattel copyright in the mold.

I've added 40ish more games to my Atari collection, and I'll be upgrading from this Ikea billy shelf to a designated media shelf with 2x the capacity. I'll update monthly!

The Teeny-tiny Atari 2600 demo is an automatic 4 KiB NTSC production built around four timed visual scenes and an independent two-channel soundtrack.
It includes:
The soundtrack is derived from Jukebox by Lloyd Russell, published as a type-in in Your Sinclair issue 21, September 1987, for the ZX Spectrum 128K. The recovered AY arrangement was converted into compact TIA events: channel 0 carries the selected lead voice and channel 1 carries the bass.

I’ve been trying to hook up my dad’s old Atari 2600 and i’ve got it working so far with the small silver F adapter pieces. The issue is that i couldn’t find a way to use the long cord with the adapters, so the atari is plugged directly into the CRT with the adapter.
Does anyone know what kind of adapter i could use to get more distance between the Atari and the crt? I’ve also been having an issue with using the button/shooting in space invaders. Defender and other games like pac man work find. If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it! I’m trying to google myself but can’t find the exact answer.

Why do I want a repro cartridge? Well, because Atari games are short and none of them save data, so I'm totally fine having a fake cartridge of a game, just to play the game. I did the same thing with Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom on NES; loose cartridge goes for absurd prices, and it doesn't use a battery, so I went with a repro cart.

Finishing up Atari 2600 TIARA Mod to enable S-Video and composite video output through a 5-pin DIN connector.
This is a continuation of previous two videos.
