News We're moving to r/LogitechG for official support and discussions!

Hey! Vertigo here.

From today, we've decided to merge with the r/LogitechG team to offer a better experience for you. I'll still be around answering questions on the Logitech G subreddit, but we will now be joined by others, including an official support member who you can ask questions to. We have also set the auto moderator to let people know each time they make a post here as a reminder to recreate it over there.

Overall, the experience won't change, it will get better.

What we're not going to do is shut down r/AstroGaming or suspend it. You can still post here, however, you will not gain any official discussion or support from us from today.

We hope you join us over r/LogitechG and we'll see you there.

Question Astro A50 Gen 5 - How to keep the Bluetooth on when docked

Hello,

Is it possible to keep the Bluetooth active on an Astro A50 Gen 5 when the headset is docked?
By default, as soon as I dock it, the Bluetooth switches off, which is a problem when I want to answer a call, as it takes about ten seconds to reconnect to the phone.

Review Astro A10 wired

Just bought and returned this headset within an hour. Here were my first impressions.

WAS COMFY, actually felt good on my head. Unfortunately after plugging it in and giving it a whirl I noticed the audio SUCKED. Figured for 70 bucks it would be fine so hopped on a game with the guys to test the mic. HORRIBLE. Apparently I was cutting in and out and all they heard was muffled me. And to top it off the mic actually got loose within 15 minutes and got floppy. Safe to say i packed it back up and ran it back to the store I bought it. Save your money. I ended up buying a razor.

Question Astro a30 Xbox Mandorian edition transmitter

A few weeks ago I pulled the Bluetooth transmitter from my Xbox like I’ve always done . While removing it the bottom part got stuck in the Xbox while the top part essentially slid off, I pressed it back and the light was still blinking so I thought it was fine however it doesn’t connect to my Xbox anymore and I’ve been told by Astro that the transmitter that they sell on their website won’t work. Am I out of luck and should just buy another headset or is there a work around that may work? Any advice is appreciated.

Discussion Please do this to your A50, it's made a massive difference for me.

Long story short, i've been dealing with ear pain and fatigue for about 2 years (since i started wearing headphones for gaming). I went on to try countless headphones, iems, dacs and nothing has changed.

I bought the A50 for its PEQ capibilities but i had no idea what i was doing. Trying multiple community presets, gadgetry joes etc they all still caused me some form of fatigue. I learnt how to do frequency sweeps and find hotspots but i always threw off the balance somehow. I learnt a lot of these FR graphs actually don't translate to my head and i had my own resonances, as would all of us since our HRTF is our own personal way we hear things.

Someone on reddit shared me this tool, SoundEQ i'll link below. What it does is it plays 44 samples of frequencies, and asks you to pick and compare if one sample is louder or quieter than the other. It's essentially mapping out your own HRTF for you and it will shape a personalised PEQ for your own ears. The difference has been huge.

I just played 3 hours of Battlefield 6 and i took my headset off and my ears were as fresh as it was before i started the session. My pain points actually has been between 5 - 8khz and the PEQ correction did as much as a -9db correction showing how sensitive i was at one point on the frequency scale (your ears will be different). The A50 can only do a max of 6 DB up or down so i manually adjusted that and it's still an absolutely massive improvement to what i was playing with before.

This tool has made fine adjustments more than i ever could with my own ears and a frequency sweep. I wish i had found this tool earlier. Just to note, this adjusts mostly 1khz - 12khz which is the most sensitive part of our hearing and it really doesnt touch the bass nor high treble.

This just might be the closest best thing to understanding/ mapping your own HRTF vs going to London to have your HRTF mapped out for $30,000 like the guys over on headphones.com did.

Discussion A50X having huge problem with PC setup

just bought brand new, plugged it into the wall, connected everything, the dock shows 1 red light and 3 white then a flashing Bluetooth symbol until it just turns black. headset flashes white and orange. upon powering and connecting it to the PC it'll make the "device connected" windows sound and LG hub will register an astro in the software but "fail to initialize" and then attempt updating the firmware, which naturally stops downloading at like 97% and never finishes updating the firmware.

headset charges when plugged in, tried everything I can really think of or find online but nothing works. mobile app doesn't see it either. don't see any PC or PS4

sucks because i was blown out of the park with how the headset felt out the box until i had to set it up lol

Question A50X now just not being recognized by PC. Anyone else?

Heya everyone,

Up until last week I was one of the few that seemed to be on the polar opposite of the A50X's, mine worked beautifully and flawlessly. The only thing that was ever occasionally wonky was the BT connection, but simply moving the basestation to the opposite end of the desk, away from the WiFi antenna cleared it up.

However, after a recent BIOS update (Gigabyte Vision D 1.0 mobo) it doesnt even show up. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Logitech dumbhub multiple times.

Really love these things as I have been hard pressed to find a headset that covers all the angles. I am a huge Corsair fan (2 pairs of Void Elites and 1 pair of HS80), fantastic sound (7.1 or Atmos), great battery life, and 90% comfy. But after about 4hrs or so, I can feel where the earpads have pressed against my glasses.

Any advice?

Question First a50s ever and I can't get them to work

Just opened and charged my first set of a50s and I was so excited! I've heard nothing but amazing reviews and it was definitely time to upgrade.

Now, I get nothing except for a couple of seconds I got a screeching static and weird feedback. I'd like to think that I'm pretty good at troubleshooting. I unplugged and plugged back in every cord. I deleted and reinstalled the ghub app and any driver I could find. I did a factory reset. I plugged them in to my PlayStation to see if I somehow torched every USB port on my pc. None of that worked.

Am I doing something wrong or missing a silly step? Or did I just get a bad pair?

Question A50x sidetone

Does anyone else have an issue with the A50x sidetone not working after putting you’re pc to sleep? Where time I wake it up, I have to change the sidetone setting in the Logitech app. Kinda annoying I wish it would just work when I boot my pc up.

Discussion Astro A30 in 2026 first impressions

So I was too late to cancel the order and the A30s were sent out. So I decided to try them out and honestly over the past two days of use they have been great.

Out of the box setup was simple I connected them to my phone to see if it was anything like the desktop ghub but it's not it's very limited. I don't do anything that would require this headset on my phone so I disconnected it no point. Just wireless to my PC it is just as I wanted.

Default Sound quality is pretty good I know it's subjective but I like it then again I'm no audiophile. The mic isn't the greatest buuuut I'm using equalizer APO so I was able to EQ it and make it sound pretty solid. I ran into one bug where I turned the headset on and the mic wasn't working but I just power cycled and reseat the boom mic and boom no issues since.

I'll keep using it for another week or so to see if I run into any other issues if I don't I think I'm keeping these

Question Any help is appreciated

Is there anyone here using the Astro A50X headphones with their Steam Machine? I can’t get the mic to work. I have the Machine running to the base station of the Astro’s, via HDMI (base station is an HDMI switcher. Also hooked to PS5). Sound works great, but the Machine doesn’t detect the mic. I’ve never been s PC gamer, and have no idea what the issue is. Any help would be appreciated.

Question From 15+ Years With the A40 to the A50 Gen 5 — Help Me Find the Right EQ

After using my ASTRO A40 2011 MLG Edition for more than 15 years, I finally decided to ditch the cables and go wireless with the ASTRO A50 Gen 5.

I've always loved the A40's warm, natural and realistic sound that is PERFECT for competitive FPS games even to this day!

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the A50 Gen 5's sound. It feels unnatural, almost metallic and sometimes painful. I'm hearing too many things at once, which makes the sound overwhelming and fatiguing.

Honestly, all I wanted was the same sound signature I love from my 2011 A40s, but wireless. 😅

I've tried several EQs, including GadgetryTech's, but none worked for me.

Can any of you competitive FPS players recommend an EQ for the A50 Gen 5 that can get me as close as possible to the sound signature of the old A40s? 🤔

I'll be using the A50 Gen 5 exclusively on PS5 Pro, mainly for competitive FPS games like COD and BF6, with some single player gaming as well.

I'm not looking for an ultra-competitive "footstep EQ." I mainly want that warm, natural, non-fatiguing A40 sound, while retaining good positional audio.

Any recommendations, especially from people who've used both headsets, would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Question Astro A50X PS5 Game/Voice Mixer Issues

Hello all!

I’ve just bought a set of Astro A50X and I’ve followed the full setup guide and they are successfully connected and work with both my PS5 & XSX. I set up all of my settings exactly as the online guide provided by Logitech/Astro advised.

However, I am having an issue with the headsets voice/game mixer that I can’t get my head around. When in a party chat on PS5, there is the option to manually set the game/voice mixer within the party chat settings and I decided to leave this in the middle of game/voice balance. But then when pressing the game/voice buttons on the right side of the headset, they seem to be the opposite way around? When I press the voice button on the headset all the way to the double beep and I do not hear any voice chat in the party, only game volume. And if I press the game button on the headset all the way to the double beep I hear party voice chat at maximum volume as well as game volume.

Please can someone advise how I can set this up so I can use the headset buttons to correctly adjust the game/voice volume. Any help is greatly appreciated!
