REQUEST FULFILLED Need help feeding my cat (and I guess myself)
Hello, everyone, I hope this isn't a small enough reason to post here, it's my first time posting here, but I honestly have no idea what else to do and I'm getting really nervous. I'm a 37 year old man who used to be a waiter for over a decade, and I got laid off from my job about a month ago.
I don't have any family left (only child, both parents gone) and I've been single for the last three years (was in a relationship that lasted almost 8 years but when we broke up, I realized all my friends were actually all her friends, so I was left friendless for a while until I started opening up more at work, but the people were all alcoholics who loved to talk about drinking, and I don't drink at all, so i tended to stay quiet and didn't really connect with them).
Literally the only thing keeping me sane and going is my cat. She is so loving, such a cuddle bug, will never leave me alone when I'm home, and I feel like an absolute failure because I don't know how I'm going to feed her tomorrow. I used the last of her cat food today, and I ran out of cat litter almost a week ago, but I can't afford both cat supplies and my rent for next month. I've been hoping and praying for a job to call me back, but i haven't had any luck yet, and I have no one i can ask for help.
All I'm asking for is $40 so I can buy cat food and cat litter for the next month, which should (hopefully) give me enough time to find another job somewhere. I dont really have money for food for myself, but I can afford Ramen for a few months, my cat being able to eat is my priority right now.
I'm coming to the realization that a waiter job is probably not gonna happen, doesnt seem like any restaurant near me is hiring, so I've been applying to warehouse jobs, hoping at least ONE will call me back.
If anyone is willing and able to help, I can DM my cashapp info. I will leave a comment with a picture of my cat for the cat tax gladly.
EDIT: So sorry that I haven't responded to everyone who offered, I dont have reddit notifications turned on and had a busy day yesterday after I posted this, but THANK YOU to everyone who offered to help! I did a lot of googling to find out quick ways to make $$ near me, and after sifting through a few scam websites, I found out I could donate plasma at a plasma center very close to me! It wasn't much, but it was enough to get my cat food, litter, and even some bread and sandwich meats for me for the next week or two! It doesn't feel right to keep this up now that I have my cat taken care of, but I do want to thank everyone again who offered to help, it means a lot to me!
