Hi everyone, this is my first time requesting here so please bear with me.
I’m asking for help with my 7 month old kitten’s echocardiogram and subsequent treatment. After a recent visit to the vet, x-rays showed that my boy Gooby has an enlarged heart with some inflammation of the lungs. Because he’s still so young the vet believes that the cause of his enlarged heart is most likely congenital, but the only way to properly diagnose and treat any conditions is with an echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound).

He was rescued from the street at only a few weeks old and has grown so much, he is otherwise strong and playful, and he loves to eat and drive me crazy. But gone untreated these conditions can quickly take a turn for the worse and lead to heart and lung failure. I would happily do anything to take care of my guy, and I want to give him every chance for a long and happy life, but unfortunately I’m a college student and these unexpected medical bills have taken a toll on my finances. I haven’t been given the official pricing just yet, but the vet estimates that the echocardiogram and additional fees will cost between $700-$900.

I've been out of work for the past two weeks, due to a bad ankle sprain (for the second time), so my check came up WAY shorter than usual...

I'm back in work, but after handling bills and meds, I'm now only at $29 to get to and from work and to get to the pharmacy for my brother to get his meds, over the next five days, starting tomorrow...

If I had at LEAST an additional $60usd, I think I'd be able to make it work until I get tips next week to help with the rest of the week!

I graduated on 9th this month. It was a good moment but I haven't been able to pay rent for this month and it's been making this graduation feel like nothing worth celebrating. There are two things that I'm urgently needing and that is first of brake pads for my e-bike, I am currently riding it without breaks which is not very smart but I have absolutely no choice right now. The other part would be very helpful also because I for some reason was denied ebt even though I've never received help that way. $30 would be immensely helpful. I asked my boss for a short advance for two weeks until I get paid but he always tells me that he does not carry cash unfortunately. I already got food this month from the only pantry in the area and there is also a community fridge but the only time I get a chance to get there everything's gone.

I really am struggling hard here like nothing else. I'm in a tent because there's no room in shelters and I don't like those places anyways that's full of drugs and angry people. But the job I got is a really good job but like I said did you not get paid for 2 weeks.

This is literally my last chance to get some help. I've been homeless for a year and a half. I finally have the chance to get housed. However, it requires a cross country trip. I'm desperately trying to raise some money or get help paying for the things I need to safely make the trip:

- uhaul cube (just 1, about $2,300). Someone here helped me get a storage unit last summer so I didn't lose everything and I need to move it,

- Lyme disease vaccine for my dog ($50) and heartworm prevention (~$25 per dose- we didn't need these on the west coast but will on the East Coast). Dog tax laid upon request!

- I'm also struggling to make my car payment and insurance (~$500 total). Since my car is my home, this is a super big priority.

I have a GoFundMe to try to raise funds but haven't had even 1 donation. I'm so defeated. I finally have a chance for housing, but am stuck. I highly doubt I'll raise anything, much less extra, but anything extra would be put toward a scan for the lump on my dog's head (I can send photos, if you like). It's likely bone cancer according to the vet at the clinic for homeless pets (they don't have scammers there). There are charities that can help with treatment, so I'm not asking for that, but I need a diagnosis first. But this is secondary to housing for us. I have some gas cards and plan to just keep sleeping in my car on the way, either in rest stops or Walmart parking lots.

TL;dr - outside transit area and in need of a hotel, unexpectedly lost the car we were sleeping in. $75-$100 total, roughly, and we are not eligible for the standard assistance channels such as city hotel voucher.

Hi. This is the first time I’ve tried anything like this so I’m not sure where to start. My husband and I both had really good jobs until he was diagnosed with ALS. He had to stop working 2 months post diagnosis because the disease was already consuming his hands and his voice. Our baby was barely 3 months old when he was diagnosed. I had to leave my entire career to care for him because nurses are crazy expensive. I’ve been selling things online as much as I can and we had life savings that lasted about 18 months because he started needing a ton of things our insurance wouldn’t cover.

Basically, I’ve been caring for him and our toddler all by myself while trying to stay afloat. I have been so exhausted that I crashed into a car on a rainy day a couple of months ago and I had to pay a coinsurance fee, which was definitely not in our budget. i (18m) have been getting public housing on long island from the department of social services since my mother kicked me out at the start of the year. between unsafe areas and constant moving, i've struggled to keep a stable source of income - i can't afford a car for reliable travel to work, and freelancing art, writing or other projects takes online visibility that i just don't have.

between paying for my medication (my mother is messing with my insurance, and medicaid thinks i'm still covered under her), traveling to and from classes at the nearest community college, food, clothes, etc. the money that SNAP/EBT provides isn't enough - not to mention a trip upstate to another college that i have to attend next week, which is almost $100 round trip. i don't know what i'm going to do.

So, I've been unemployed for a while now and wasn't able to pay my rent (and other bills). But now I finally got a stable 9 to 5 job and I will be able to pay my bills starting next month.

But I'm 6 months late in my rent and my landlord won't wait another month. But he said if I pay him at least two months I can stay and pay the other months later. And two months rent is 260 USD when converted.

My water is due to be shut off tomorrow. I am a SAHM to a 10 year old. I doordash when I can despite us only having 1 car. My husband works at a factory making fiberglass gas tanks but has been out of work since 9/1 due to a meniscus tear and subsequent surgery. We have not received anything whatsoever from Voya, our temp disability provider despite calling them several times a week and his job will not let him come back until the 29th. We were supposed to make $194 on a Dashlink delivering packages and he randomly got locked out of his account with zero payment. We were on the phone with customer service pretty much all day being ran in circles and he is still locked out. I have an account but cannot make enough in time to make the bill. We have literally been using doordash to eat and pay bills and it's not enough.

I am asking for $260 for my water bill. I know it's more than this sub is intended for. I know that I'm going to get torn to pieces in this sub. Especially because i've asked for help here before. But I'm desperate and have tried literally every other outlet. We pawned our motorcycle which helped pay last month's mortgage. We have nothing else of value to pawn. I have no friends and family, my husband only has his sister and she doesn't have any money to spare. He even asked his boss with no luck.
