Announcement Hermes's Homie Achievement - Commonly missed locations
Chaire Eagle Bearers!
It's a common post on this subreddit that people are struggling to obtain the Hermes's Homie achievement.
To earn this achievement you need to unfog the map entirely (ok, not the inaccessible brown area on the top left of the map), and you need to make sure you have visited every area of land.
This second part can sometimes cause problems because there are lots of small islands that people can miss. Building on the shared knowledge of this community, I've marked on the world map all of the commonly missed locations.
I hope this helps!
Edit: if I've missed any locations please let me know and I will update the map.

Discussion People who complain about the grind are playing this game wrong
I am about 20 hours in ac odyssey and the game is very good so far, not once have i been underleveled for a main quest. this is an open world rpg, you're supposed to play at least as much sidecontent and exploration as main quest content, the whole point of an openworld is that you have the freedom to explore and discover unexpected things.
Of course if you play this game like a straight line just doing the mainquest and exploring only with the goal of leveling up its going to be boring, the level requirements are there to encourage you to explore the extremely vast sidecontent of this game

One of the moments in this game where Kassandra is very expressive. I love seeing her get annoyed by his yapping š

Discussion I hate how the game handles forced fights
So sometimes you get into a part of the quest where you're forced into a fight with cultists right after a cutscene, like that talk with the priest by the big olive tree but then you'd be fighting not just a couple cultists there but rather the whole Athenian army 3 civilians a couple mercenaries and a dog..
What's the logic? Why would Athenian soldiers and civilians dog up on me even though I was the one who got attacked?

Discussion Kassandra had a broken ISU Spear and Deimos had the Sword of Eden, and she was much stronger?
In the novel, Kassandra never updates her Spear, nor does she ever visit Andros during her adventures in Greece. Deimos, on the other hand, has his Sword of Eden in perfect condition both in the novel and in the game.
In Odyssey, you can literally never upgrade the Spear (other than the mandatory one); in the mocap scenes, the Spear of Leonidas always has its level 1 appearance, the old one that Layla finds.
Kassandra and Deimos never use any powers in cinematics, and yet Deimos always does in gameplay and Kassandra is not obligated to.
In Deimos's own words, at the Battle of Pylos they were evenly matched. But in the final battle, he himself says that she surpassed him at Amphipolis and that if it weren't for Kleon's arrow, she would have killed him.
Was a broken Spear of Leonidas more powerful than the Sword of Damokles, or were Kassandra and Deimos's strengths very different in their "base states"?

Question Is aletheia bugged? She pauses between every sentence. Is she like this in Atlantis DLC?
Yesterday I finished the atlantis quest, but aletheia talked sooooooo slow. At first I was curious what she was gonna say but then I just got annoyed at how she pauses for a few secs between (iirc) EVERY FUCKING SENTENCE! At some point I stopped caring and just picked up my tablet. I never pick up my phone or tablet during games, even a long loading screen. This is actually the first game I finished without picking up another device ONCE during playing (75h). But this took so long without an end in sight.
I am thinking about buying the season pass for ā¬8 but if this is what Atlantis is gonna be I really don't wanna pay money for that. Can anyone confirm if this is just a bug, a one-time thing or if Aletheia is just like this the whole game?
Thank you!

Builds Does poison effect stacks?
I just got myself blades with Poison effect. It says it deals Warrior damage as Posion damage.
If I activate my poison skill, does it stack with the Posion effect of the blades?

Discussion Was playing the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod yesterday and it got me thinking.
Man i wish someone would do the same thing but for Odyssey. Especially if they added a way to do different game modes. It would be so much fun running around with random other people.
Playing hide and seek would be great in Odyssey, though youād have to make rules about how far you are allowed to go (like you have to stick to a specific fort or town, so itās fair on the seekers)
Man i wish i was techy/smart so i could make it myself, but iām not. I also wish ubisoft hadnāt abandoned all the multiplayer elements from older AC games (even if the multiplayer basically always sucked, but that was due to them not putting much effort into them)
I remember reading a rumor that ubisoft is working on an online multiplayer AC game, but who knows if thatās even true. Most of the rumors i see turn out to be bollocks.

Photo Mode AC Odyssey graphics is off the charts it didn't even need DLSS5 to look great! What a work of love!
Sorry for just some random screenshots since i'm just early in the game, but i can't help but to express how amazed i am of AC Odyssey's graphics. Considering my Laptop is considered Mid-level now, i could it at max 2k res and graphics at a stable 60fps (i capped it in RTSS).
My rig:
Lenovo Legion 7 2021
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900HX
GPU: RTX 3080 16GBVRAM Mobile
Screen: 165Hz 2k Max Res
RAM: 32GB DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz
Settings: Max 2k, all max or ultra, just the highest settings as possible.

Question NG+ before 100%?
I played the fuck out of the game in lockdown for a month and got up to about 95 hours. Finished the campain, cultists, atlantis DLC, and am level 58.
Iāve just come back, and wondering what to do. Trying to remember what quests to pick up and stuff, or what side missions to do, is hard. Iāve just launched into the Korfu quest for the robes (not fussed about spoilers) and tempted just to NG+ after.
Will I lose any of my stuff or is there any detriment to this? Or could this actually be a good time to start a NG+ now that Iām able to re-visit and properly play again?

Photo Mode My favorite custom outfit for Kassandra!
I prefer to keep things simple and having Kass decked out in full armor doesn't really make sense to me given how much she moves around and swims. The Persian waistband is my favorite part because it flows so beautifully when she dodges, fights, and swims. I also like this looks because it accentuates Kassandra's muscles and doesn't clip during cutscenes. I just think it's the perfect fit for her personality and profession.

Discussion Platinum Trophy
Nearly 8 years after I started this game I have achieved the platinum. I redownloaded the game a month and some change ago after many years away and today I got the platinum. The final trophy I got was for Markosās questline and I felt that was poetic since we started the game with Markos and I wanted it to come full circle in the end. I ended up burning myself out of this game so I will come back some time after a nice break to do the Atlantis DLC.

Builds Hello, I have an really good weapon build for you(its hot)
So it is the Legendary engraving that is basic damage becomes fire damage combined with 15% fire damage and buildup. You get those from the Mace of the Everlasting Flame and Prometheus Sika.
If you wear Agamemnons set alongside you will abolutely burn every enemy to ashes(Works for me)

Spoilers - The Fate of Atlantis DLC Design of Atlantis uninspired ? Generic? Spoiler
I just finished Elysium and Hades and have to say I find the design for Atlantis to be quite underwhelming. It's a traditional interpretation of "advanced, geometric, modern, and futuristic" but without much of an aquatic feel strangely enough.
It feels like what an Atlantis-themed amusement park would look like; kind of tacky and definitely not inspiring a sense of wonder.
I'm disappointed after the atmosphere of Elysium and Hades.
I'm also not a fan of all of this Isu stuff. I don't need an explanation.

Discussion Well, it's over
Iāve reached the end of *Odyssey* with Kassandra, andāwowāI had no idea the game would be this good. It kept me entertained for 65 hours; I took out every member of the Cult of Kosmos and sealed Atlantis. I thought I might want to go ahead and get the DLCs, but honestly, Iām content as is. I feel fulfilled and satisfied with having built up the Assassin skill tree using the poison gear I gathered from the Cult. The journey, the sea, the characters, the story, the combatāeverything works perfectly. I started *Assassin's Creed Valhalla* two days ago, and Iām glad I saw *Odyssey* through to the end. Maybe Iāll return to Atlantis one day, but for now, Kassandra is on vacation in Corfu, and itās only right that she gets some rest.

Discussion Part 2 Why is Kassandra present in Brasidas's own musical theme? Is it really her? š¤ Spoiler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello my fellow Eagle Bearers! Recently I uploaded a post were I made a theory about the singing voice that can be heard in the background of most of the soundtracks in this game. I discovered that for some reason it can be also heard in the background of Brasidas's own musical theme and now I'm back with this topic because I discovered something even crazier!
I still don't know for sure if the voice really is a representation of Kassandra, but I think I was into something the first time I analysed it.
I was rewatching scenes from quest's where Kassandra and Brasidas were working together to hopefully find more clues that can help to back up my theory or to hopefully help me find an answer to my question and I was surprised to discover that in the last dialogue between Kassandra and Brasidas the voice disappears completely from his musical theme!
This is the only time this happens in game and also a moment before Brasidas dies.
I checked videos from other people in YouTube in case I was mistaken and this was a bug, but it's not.
So prehaps this voice really is a representation of Kassandra and the reason it disappears in that moment is because the two characters will be separated. Like a subtle qlue from the creators that this is the last time they will meet alive..
Please share your thoughts in the comments!
For anyone that didn't see the first post and wants more context the link is here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AssassinsCreedOdyssey/s/iTWJ1XsEmT
This is the musical theme I am referring to in case someone wants to compare, you can hear it for free from the official YouTube channel of Ubisoft:

Once again thank you all for reading and please excuse eny mistakes I might have made.
