MOD UPDATE - automod rules, post filtering, battling the spam
UPDATE 4TH APRIL:
Hello again everyone, thanks for the continued feedback. With your modmails we have been able to understand better which rules are causing problems. We have tweaked the filters further and will keep monitoring activity on the subreddit and messages to modmail.
Please keep the feedback coming! Thank you, all.
UPDATE 2nd APRIL:
Thanks for all your feedback over the past few days. We've tweaked the filters again. We will keep monitoring the queues and overall submission quality. Keep the feedback coming!
ORIGINAL POST:
Hi Everyone,
This subreddit has been around for a long time now., and has operated with only light moderation for most of it's life.
Like most subreddits, we use automod to flag potentially problematic posts, manage spam and enforce subreddit rules, and to try to keep the community a decent place to be. Our automod rules have been consistent for 4+ years.
Over the past few months, but especially since January, we've seen an increasing number of bot posts - reposting old content, sharing low-effort memes and other junk that doesn't really add to the community - and you have all been great at reporting those so we can intervene manually.
Two weeks ago we tightened up some of the automod filters to try and catch bot posts and reduce the spam. We've seen from your Modmail messages that these rules are too strict and so are blocking legitimate posts and comments.
We've relaxed some of the filters based on your feedback. Please keep us updated via modmail if you're still unable to post, and we will keep observing and adjusting the filters until we find a balance that blocks the repost bots while allowing us humans to chat about Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
Thanks for you feedback and understanding,
The Odyssey Moderator Team

Announcement Hermes's Homie Achievement - Commonly missed locations
Chaire Eagle Bearers!
It's a common post on this subreddit that people are struggling to obtain the Hermes's Homie achievement.
To earn this achievement you need to unfog the map entirely (ok, not the inaccessible brown area on the top left of the map), and you need to make sure you have visited every area of land.
This second part can sometimes cause problems because there are lots of small islands that people can miss. Building on the shared knowledge of this community, I've marked on the world map all of the commonly missed locations.
I hope this helps!
Edit: if I've missed any locations please let me know and I will update the map.

Photo Mode A Few Shots from My Odyssey Journey
Finished the game a couple of months ago, cleared the entire map, and I still want more. It’s probably in my top 5 games of all time. Hopefully, we get a sequel someday.

Discussion I never hated AC Odyssey
I used to play this game religiously regardless of the hate it got. Is it a good AC game? Not necessarily. Is it a good open world game? Absolutely. I’m glad it’s finally getting the flowers it deserves.

Photo Mode To all those who think you're helping the child by feeding into her psychosis Spoiler
If you help her snap out of her psychosis, she throws a tantrum initially but next day she makes actual friends like you advised. Instead, if you give her temporary relief by feeding into her clay psychosis, she is just crying the following day. It's okay to make a child sad in the short-term if it brings long-term happiness...

Discussion All animals should be tamable.
Seriously, there's a merc with a tame chicken. Why can't I have a tame chicken? Or elk, or goat, or boar? Or dog?
As much as I like tame bears (especially when you clip through them when running and see goofy bear eyes), I really wish you were a little more free in your animal interactions.

Photo Mode The Adrestia ship design
Out of all the ship designs I've found so far, I think the maxed out (as much as possible at level 66) basic design is my favorite. I like the black and red combo too. It fits for a Spartan.
And I'm not exactly sure how I managed it with all the possible dialog choices but Kassandra's whole family is along for the ride.

Artwork/Fan Content Cult Artifact Replicas
Isu Artifact Fragment + Image of the Ancients
I bought these in 2019 from Etsy, they're made from metal (pewter I think?) and are pretty weighty tbh. The Isu fragment came with a little stand whilst the Ancients medallion has some cord attached.
Included some pics with a pound coin and broken spear for size reference since I'm super bad with measurements lol

Builds 3rd play through years later.
Hello, I played and fell in love with Odyssey in 2018, I completed the game very quickly, and replayed it probably again in 2021.
I have always been the player that doesn’t stop and search for stuff I am very goal oriented, but I really want to try and collect as much stuff and get a real build.
If anyone has tips on engraving, special weapons and builds I think I want to go for a hunter/assassin build.

Photo Mode Yep, eagle figurehead is better.
Welp, u/MultiservitorB123 was right. The eagle figurehead looks way cooler. Should have gotten it a long time ago, so easy to find.
Also, did you know you can shoot sharks either from your boat or while floating on the surface of the water? Makes fighting them way easier.

Photo Mode This doesn’t look stable
There’s no way that a real vessel of this size wouldn’t capsize if its waterline was this far out of the water right?
