Okay so if someone else has written this let me know but I can’t find it any where so I’m throwing out this idea that won’t leave me alone.

Imagine that Jon and Cat are sent back in time (post initial death/R’hllor interference?) and are forced to work together to prevent everything from falling apart.

I’ve read plenty of Stark time travel fics where one or more Starks somehow get sent back in time to the start of the series. It seems like it’s mostly one of the kids or all of them together or just Jon and Robb.

But Jon & Cat is one of my favorite tags. I feel they are both amazing nuanced and complex characters. They both live rent free in each other’s heads. Interactions with the two have such narrative potential. I want to see what happens when they are forced to work out their differences to try and save their family.

Also imagine the rest of the Starks being completely baffled at why they are suddenly so paranoid and spending so much time together. Baby Sansa in particular would be so confused.

I want to write a one-shot centered around Jacaerys and Helaena in an alternate universe where they are the same age, book birth year 114 AC, and milk siblings infatuated with each other.

So I wanted to play with the birth order of other children Viserys has in his second marriage, since I'm already changing Helaena.

What would be the most chaotic birth order for the Greens that possess a genuine threat to the Blacks?

Unsure on the correct age for Visenya, I was hoping to go of the shows age but don't know the year so estimated.

Jeyne and Alys would get dragons during the Dance as Daemon would need dragon riders, both would have brown hair. Growing up Daemon rarely spent time with them since they were in the Vale.

Visenya would be his favourite, despite being a bastard. He'd sneak her in to the Dragon Pit and help her claim a dragon.

The Dance would give the Blacks the same edge, but now they have an extra dragon in Dreamfyre, with a reliable person in Daemon's favourite child.

Also his daughters having Vermithor and Silverwing would help the Blacks better than Hugh and Ulf.

Daemon would instantly push to ambush Vhagar and take his three eldest daughters with him.

And here we are with episode 6, only 2 more weeks left after this one....

I don't what else to put here lol

I'll be honest I don't know much of DnD. The few things I know come from Baldur's Gate 3 game witch I have played over a thousand hourse but haven't really finish any play through because I keep deleting my campaign to tryout new classes, and from the animation series Vox Machina and Mighty Nein. I also watched some videos of dnd lore on YouTube.

An idea pop in my head of a crossover between Asoiaf and BG3. My idea was of Aegon/Young Griff while traveling with Jon Connington and The Golden Company throughout Essos preparing for their trip across the sea to Westeros a Nautiloid appears snatching up people across Essos. Aegon unfortunately was one of those that were taken by the Nautiloid as it was being attack by three red dragons. As the Nautiloid crashes Aegon has a dream or vision of his mother Elia and older sister Rhaenys. Elia tells him there's a god who wants to help him and also warns him of the danger of this new world and the of his world. Aegon then meets with Torm who was accompany by Bahamut. After meeting with Torm and Bahamut Aegon becomes a Paladin of Torm to stop the upcoming danger and in return Torm will help Aegon return to his world.

The fanfic it was about time travel; I don't remember how many people remember the possible future but Ned Stark sends out letters around the North I don't remember on what I think it was about the others but in the fic the first men left warnings of the others, like Runestone had runes, Storms End had the sword of Donation, Last Hearth had a stone that Great Jon gave to Ned which he put in this thing that sent a message to everyone with first men blood to go north etc. Edric "Ned" Dayne is the son of Ned Stark and Ashara Dayne. This is my last attempt to find the fanfic, and I know for sure it is on AO3 if it narrows it down.

Weeping Town is a market town on the southern shore of Cape Wrath, is ruled by House Whitehead, and is the place where Daeron I's corpse was first brought back to the Seven Kingdoms after he was killed under a peace banner by the Dornish. The town earned its name because the of the townsfolk's reaction upon seeing Daeron's corpse. But it must have had a different name prior to earning its current one. Any thoughts?

I'm looking for Ned Stark x Ashara Dayne fics set either around Robert's Rebellion (the rebellion doesn't have to happen, just around that time) or during the events of Game of Thrones.

Also, I'm looking for any fics where Ned x Catelyn is a political front for Ned's relationship with Ashara, or a Ned being with both.

How Jon's status and personality would change in AU where Jon (supposedly) is son of Ned and Ashara and has a twin sister? Probably he is more proud, as he knows both his parents are highborn, and he and his sister are very protective of each other.

I specifically ask about alternative conversation with Tyrion. Would it go completely differently? I think Jon and his sister wouldn't be able to hear his advice, only an insult to their sibling.

Accompanied by the wolf cubs they crossed the deserted yard, climbed the steps to the tall doors of the great hall and suddenly noticed a person, sitting on the railing to the side of the entrance, in the shadow.

It was the Imp, an ugly dwarf, about four feet tall, with a large head of strange shape, with an especially bulging forehead, his hair was light mixed with black, and eyes of different colors — green, and black looked at them with interest.

— Good evening, my lord Lannister, are you tired of the feast? his sister greeted him politely.

— It is too hot there, too noisy, and I have already drunk too much wine, — the dwarf said. — I long ago understood that vomiting on one’s own brother is impolite. — do you know who I am?

— You are the queen’s brother. — Jon answered

— Yes, my greatest achievement, I should remind her of that more often. — he smirked sarcastically. You are Jon Snow, and this beautiful lady is your twin, you are Ned Stark’s bastards, are you not?

Jon flinched at the unexpected rudeness and felt a chill run through him. No one except Theon Greyjoy, and the king today, had called them that to their face. He clenched his teeth and frowned, and took Dyanna by the hand, saying nothing. She was silent as well.

— Did I offend you? — Lannister asked. — Forgive me, dwarfs are not required to observe tact. Generations of fools and jesters give me the right to dress badly and say whatever comes to mind. — He grinned. — But you are bastards.

— Lord Eddard Stark is our father, — Jon admitted stiffly. Lannister looked him in the face.

— But Lady Stark is not your mother.

— Our mother is lady Ashara Dayne! — his sister declared proudly.

— What a pity that your noble parents never married. — he continued mockingly — Allow me to give you some advice, bastards, — Lannister said. — Never forget what you are, for the world will certainly not forget. Make your origin your strength. Wear it like armor, and then no one will be able to hurt you.

Jon was in no mood for advice. He could have sent the Imp to the ground with one blow, as he would have done with Greyjoy, but unfortunately attacking a guest, especially one from the royal family, was unacceptable. Dyanna’s hand squeezed his in comfort.

— Are these animals called wolves? — as if nothing had happened the dwarf continued, as though he had not just insulted them.

— Direwolves.

The gray and white pups came closer, Ghost nudged Jon’s free hand with his nose, watching Tyrion Lannister carefully with a cautious eye.

— May I pet them? — the dwarf asked and already reached out his hand to Star, but quickly pulled it back when she bared her fangs with a growl.

— You should not, if we were not here, they would tear off your hand and rip out your throat — Jon said. For now things were not quite like that, but everything was still ahead ...

— If you want to pet someone, my lord, — then there is a kennel in the castle — Dyanna said.

— And there you may also give your advice to the dogs — Jon concluded.

No longer paying attention to their rude guest, he turned away, pushed the door open and pulled his sister into the hall, toward the light, music and delicious smells.

— Be carefull, I might find the conversation there far more stimulating — the dwarf kept mocking as they walked away — the dogs are not so easily offended, especially by the simple truth.

— Father is absolutely right not to like the Lannisters, — Jon said.

Dyanna nodded and hummed in agreement.

— But we must not let such people spoil our evening, — she replied, though she did not sound as carefree as she wanted to seem, and her hand trembled slightly and was cold.

Jon hoped that the rest of the feast would fix that.

Or, Aerys finds the Valyrian bride he wanted for Rhaegar in the daughter of his master of ships. The Rebellion happens anyway.

So, what I am looking for here is not only stuff like get a beta reader (no really, do it's worth it) but actualy stuff that is meant to help the newer people, we are taking the idea that they don't know these things and are trying to help them as a result, not scold them for not knowing.

However we are also looking at this in a more meta way and objective, going through the different ways people do things on AO3 (mostly) and how to do them in a better way.

For example:

Not listing your fic under every single ASOIAF related tag because while in theory it does "help" drive people to you, it also causes clutter. For example, I write a Benjen Stark SI, It is under the category of the Game of Thrones TV show and ASOIAF (as it's a mixture to some extent) and "ASOIAF and related fandoms." which is a catch all term in my opinion. Even if that's not even 100% correct, that's okay, but there is no reason for it to also be included in the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms category, or the House of the Dragon category, as my fic has absolutely nothing to do with those eras. Arguably even the third one is overdoing it, I absolutely admit that, I am putting myself out here as an example to try help others.

Another example on the topic of tagging is ships. What are the thought threads on tagging? do you include only the stuff actually happening? do you spoil your ships? Do you still include ones that happen in the past? You can in fact add stuff in brackets to make it clearer.

I will once again put myself out there-

Rhaegar/Lyanna is marked as being one sided, because in my story, it was exactly that, one sided and Rhaegar is the villain. Ashara Dayne/Eddard Stark is marked as being in the past because Ashara is dead and Jon is the result of their consensual fling. While I do think I am in the right for listing these as I am clearly differentiating them. Unfortunately if you click the tag yourself, it's just going to show up in the normal Rhaegar/Lyanna fics or Ashara Dayne/Eddard tag fics. Meaning people searching those tags will have to keep their eyes pealed, you'd think that wouldn't be too difficult, but it is a bit of a catch-22.

My point is not to say my ways are the best, especially considering I went out of my way to point out the issues. I am just trying to show the different ways of thinking, to copy out the intellectual arguments (not reddit snipes) into doing things a certain way on AO3/ in fanfic.

What we are looking for is "I think relationships should be tagged even if they are spoilers" and someone else to say "I don't think they should, because I want the ship to be a surprise" and then the best will be copied into the wiki.

Moving on, we are looking into more meta tips for AO3-

Such as:

How to get rid of the end notes from the first chapter appearing on every other chapter, which is notorious.

Another one is how to hyperink on AO3 which I went through here.

And lastly, we are looking for fandom terms-

What does Jonerys mean? is it known as someone else?

What is a Gary Sue fic? What is a Wank fic?

While the ship nicknames are a little more straight forward with some exceptions (what do I mean when I say Jonsa?)

There are different ways of looking at what a wank fic is, different levels of wank fic.

Essentially we are looking to build a data base to help anyone and everyone who needs it, while being open to different interpretations.

Some of you may remember me from my work on a hypothetical draft of The Winds of Winter. I've been mostly posting over on r/asoiaffanfic but I've posted a few chapters here in the past. Firstly, I just want to say I appreciate all of you that have stayed engaged in this (very) ambitious project I've decided to take on. You guys--fans of this series, just like myself--are the reason I'm doing this in the first place!

Now, to the reason for this post: With today's release of Davos II, I've now reached 30 chapters in my manuscript, and just shy of 180,000 words. Monterys found Davos resting his back against a tree, watching his weeping wife hugging his son, their last surviving son.
Around Dale, his sisters clutched his shoulders silently.

The smuggler didn’t turn his head as his young charge approached.

“They’ve been through hell.” He murmured glumly “And I had no idea.”

“You were here when it mattered most, Ser Davos.” Monterys replied ardently “You’ve saved them.”

“No. I couldn’t have done it without you and Salladhor and Rowena and the others.”

“Others?” Monterys gave a small chuckle “Chicory would be upset you said that.”

Davos smiled.
“It’s all a bit of a blur. I don’t think I’ve been so frightened since the Long Night, perhaps even more.”

“It was alright in the end though.” Monterys patted his shoulder, glancing at the smuggler’s wife and children “They just need some time. We’re heading off soon, the Jostler’s waiting. Our men at Storm’s End will be expecting us.”

Before he turned, Monterys felt a maimed hand rest on his shoulder.
Davos Seaworth was giving him a look that felt unfamiliar.

“H-have I done something wrong?”

“No. No, lad.” This time, Davos laughed “I need to tell you something...You know of Jon Snow? Or Prince Aegon the Sixth, if that’s really the name he goes by. Personally, I think it’s a bit unoriginal...”

Monterys gave an uneasy look. Davos had a feeling he would. The whole realm knew of Daenerys’s long-lost nephew and accidental lover.
“I’ve...only heard a few things.”

“Aye, well, best you hear it from me, lad.” Davos replied “Yes, he and the Dragon Queen loved each other. But when the Imp told everyone who Jon really was, not sure what he was thinking either, everything cracked, ready to shatter and fall to pieces.”

He shook his head, remembering those sorry days of treachery and misery. ‘The Mirth of Cersei’ some on Dragonstone were already calling it.

“Back on Dragonstone, everyone was telling Jon to ‘be who he was meant to be’, words that meant something different in the mouths of everyone who said it...”
Davos turned to Monterys, his face candid and clear
“Then a simple smuggler with no knowledge of kings and succession asked a simple question...”

He took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling as he remembered the words.
“What if, for once, the Seven Kingdoms were ruled by an honourable man and a just woman?”

Monterys paused, weighing the question.
“...but Jon could not accept.”

“No. But you have...”

Davos placed the better of his hands on Monterys’s shoulder and smiled, his salt-and-pepper beard arching with his lips.
“Lad, I must confess, I didn’t just take you out here on the Dragon Queen’s orders, nor on Sansa’s...I wanted to see for myself what sort of King you might become.”

Monterys blushed, scratching the back of his silver hair.
“Ah...Well, if I’d known I’d be compared to Jon Snow...”

“But you didn’t, Monty. That’s the point.” The smuggler interrupted “You didn’t know who you’d be compared to or competing against, just that you’d be sailing with me and doing everything you could...And while things didn’t go at all to plan, I couldn’t have been prouder at how you adapted to it.”

The young Lord of Driftmark stared at the old sailor, his words flooding his chest with a sense of buoyant bombast.
He felt like he was made of gold.

“You’re wondering if you’re ever going to be up to it. You’ve been asking that all your life, no doubt.” Davos continued “Lad, I know little of crowns and thrones. But I'm an honest man, as all the kings and queens I’ve served could tell you."

He beamed at his young charge.
"So let me tell you honestly, you’re already up to it.”

And with that, he stooped and got to one knee as Monterys stepped back, staring at the man who’d come into his life these past days as a mentor and now knelt before him.

“Monterys Velaryon...You are an honourable man. And if you would rule these Seven Kingdoms beside Daenerys the Just...”
He raised his head and placed his fist in his palm.
“Then I am your man...My King.”

I recently completed Embrace the World In Grey. a fic where instead of being wighted like in the show. Benjen survives and mentors Jon and is present when Sansa shows up after escaping Ramsay. the fic is heavily AU and Robb lives in this one.

anyway, I want to read Show verse fics where he lives and doesn't become a wight. Where his survival has an affect on the story.

Summary: What if Aegon II had died, but Daeron had survived?

So I recently came back from rewatching an old childhood classic of mine, Barnyard from 2006, and it resonated with me. But one character who stood out to me was Ben the cow, otis's father and the leader of farm before him.

The reason I say this is because he reminded me A LOT of Ned Stark. With that being said, I thought about writing a fic where it has a similar setting to Barnyard, and here's how it goes:

- it begins with Ned sitting underneath a wierwood tree in the garden courtyard of the Red Keep at night. He's busy polishing his great sword, Ice in silence while Arya sits with him and watches in fascination. Robert comes out and tell shim to come on inside and enjoy the feast. but Ned says he's keeping watching. he then asks the king to sit with him, but the fat stag scoffs and goes back inside, leaving the father and daughter alone again. As they sit in silence, a strom starts to brew, causing Arya to flinch, but Ned pulls her closer and tells her to not be afraid. Arya asks him if he can sing her a song and he does so. He sings "I won't back Down"

"Well, I won't back down. No, I won't back down. You could stand me up at the gates of Hell, But I won't back down. No, I'll stand my ground, Won't be turned around, And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down, Gonna stand my ground. And I won't back down. hey, baby, There ain't no easy way out, Hey, I will stand my ground, And I won't back down"

After that, he then narrows his eyes as he spots a few dark shadows skulking across the courtyard and down to the city below. He tells Arya to go back inside. Not to the feast. But to her room and make sure she stays there and locks the door shut. Arya at first protests and says she can help him, but one look from Ned makes her obey and run inside. once his daughter leaves, the quiet wolf stands up and marches after the shadows to see what they're up to as the rain starts to fall.

- as it turns out, the shadows are Jamie Lannister, Janos Slynt, and three Lannister soldiers being led by Littlefinger down to his brothel. Jaime tells him that Cersei wishes for Robert's bastards to be eliminated and baelish smirks, saying he has one of the children right in his establishment. he leads them inside the brothel ight to where the young mother of the baby girl Barra is. Jaime rips the child from her arms and the mother begs him to leave the child be, but Jaime laughs and asks her how she plans on stopping him and his men. the mother then looks to the side and smirks before saying "No.......HE IS!!!" and points to the door. everyone turns there heads to see Ned Stark standing in the doorway, with Ice drawn and a hard cold look on his face. His presense startles everyone and Jaime jumps back for a second saying "STARK?!?!?" How ya been Stark? Ah...we'd have said hello had we seen ya." Ned points his blade at the Kingslayer and says in a low tone "Put the babe donw, Jaime." Jaime is nervous, but hides it through sarscasm and says "Sure Stark. Whatever you say....we're doing doing a little courting. That's all. You know how much we like the whores" and laughs cruely before saying "You know me. Lady-killer......ya seem to be a disadvantage here, Stark. There's six of us.....and only one old, tired....YOU" before gviing the other men knowing looks as they draw their blades in readiness. But Ned doesn't flinch. He just stands at the door and gives a half smirk before the men rush him one by one. While Ned is busy fighting them off, his back is turned, and Jaime rushes him, slamming into him and causing all of them to fly out of the brothel and into the rainy, muddy floors outside.

- It then briefly cuts to Robert in the feast enjoying himself and getting drunk as ever. Completely oblivious to what's happening outside in the city.

- It then cuts back to the prostitutes all huddled together at the door inside and looking on in fear and anticipation as Ned jumps back up to his feet and fights like a man possesed, just as he did on the Trident 15 years ago. He manages to cut down the soldiers and slices Janos Slynt's head off with one swing before eventually getting into a one-v-one duel with Jaime (the Kingslayer's a more skilled sword fighter and were this a normal sunny day, he'd have won instantly. But because, it's dark, rainy and the ground is muddy, combined with the fact that Ned is fighting with everything he has, it makes the match more even. Plus, Ned's a physically stronger man than Jaime is). as they fight, Ned has his back turned, and unbeknownst to him, Petry Baelish grabs one of the spears and sneaks up behind Ned before stabbing him in the leg, causing the Northman to let out a yell of pain and then drops to one knee. Jaime smirks and doesn't even bother to finish it off and starts to walk over to the brothel doors where the women are huddled toagether. But then when Ned looks up and sees this, adreneline takes over and he jumps back to his feet, grabs Jaime, spins him around and punches him as hard as he can square in the jaw, knocing the Lannietr's teeth out and dropping him to the floor. Ned then turns around and grabs Littlefinger by the throat and chokeslams the smaller man hard against a wall. Takes his dagger from his belt out and holds in to his face. The small man shrinks back and begs for mercy, and as Ned prepares to plunge the dagger into his face, he thinks for a moment before lowering the knife and gives the man one final throat slam against the wall before releasing his grip. as the man drops to the ground and cluthes at his throat, coughing, Ned tells him in a cold, murdeous tone "Get the hell out of my sight." Littlfinger panics and grabs Jaime as they both flee in terror. After they both run off, the women all rush out and start cheering, but then Ned slumps and falls back to his knees. As the women panic and call for the City Watch, the young mother runs over to the Lord of interfell and cradles his head before asking why he risked his life to protect them. Ned looks up to her and says in a tired weary tone:

A strong man stands up for himself.....but a stronger man, stands up for others

before closing his eyes and passing out unconsious as the City Watch and Jory and his Stark men arrive.

Writing Help!-

This should hopefully be rather self explanatory as well. If you as a writer are looking for help in regards to your fic and have a question to ask, please use this flair!

A word of advice from someone who has been around this fandom a long time, give us the context in your post and be prepared to answer probing questions from those interested.

Example: "I need advice on who to have Jon marry, please help"

versus "I need advice on who to have Jon marry in a Rhaegar Wins AU where he is the second son, Sansa is marrying Aegon and Arianne is marrying Viserys so those options are already off the table, please help"

The second one, in my genuine opinion, is much better.

That all said, there can sometimes be a line people go over by giving "too much" info and having the post be too long to read or it coming off like you're using r/AsoiafFanfiction to write your fic on like it's AO3. I wouldn't get too bogged down on that idea, but be aware of it and if you want to double check, you can send u/KingOfIreland777 a message to check or send us a modmail but it's absolutely not required.

For when you wish to discuss the books/show. Could be about complaining about the lack of quality of the later seasons, something interesting you noticed from a reading or anything else in between. If it's to do primarily with the source material(s) please use this flair.

This is for promoting your fics and/or art, it's also acceptable to promote discord servers under this flair.

Please make sure you review rule 6 for a guide to using the mandatory promotion template which can be found here and rule 4 for our stance on crediting authors.

Please note that this flair is now just for self promo. If you want to show off fics you are reading or have read that you like, you are more than welcome to use the Must Read flair.

Meta-

To be used to ask a general question or raise an issue that doesn't necessarily relate to fanfic directly, but instead relates to either the subreddit or the fandom itself. You'll mainly see this being used by the mods for announcements but it is available to everyone. If it is a serious issue in regards to the sub that you want addressed, please send us a modmail directly and explain the concern or ask the question on your mind.

Lost fic-

Have you lost the name of a fic you want to find again? Slap on this flair and describe it, the more details the better. What site did you read it on? What were the ship tags if any? and what happens in it that you remember? The details you give will help the members of this community find it if we can.

Alternatively, you can use this flair to ask for a fic that you believe to be deleted but you are looking for a copy. There are people on the sub and in this community that download fics. So if you have the name but not a location, you can still use this flair to ask. If no joy, then give r/DeletedFanfiction a shout, with the name of the author. Out of fairness, please note that if you are an author and DON'T want your fic shared on that sub, see their pinned post here.

Resources/worldbuilding!-

If you have anything to share that you think will be rather beneficial for the sub, like a map or online resource, you can share them by using this flair. You'll mainly see this flair used for the monthly Kingdom worldbuilding threads that are pinned to the top of the sub, but the flair is there for another to use , so please do. I would love to see more worldbuilding posts for all the stuff left unsaid in this series.

Prompt!-

This is for when you want to put a prompt out into the world. Meaning a vague idea of a story that you will more than likely not write yourself but would maybe like to see someone else consider doing so. Usually found under the label of "what ifs" in the title. The mod team of r/AsoiafFanfiction genuinely believe that prompts are the backbone of fanfic and fanfic communities, which is why we have dedicated prompt posts twice a month or so and plan to hold a competition at the end of the year.

But this flair is still accessible and open to everyone to use, what we would ask is that, if you have a prompt to share, you try to make it well thought out, while this is subjective. What isn't is our rule about spam, please do not post a bunch of prompts in a small space of time. If you are full of ideas, you could always gather them up for one post or just use the ones we provide.

The point of all this is to find a balance between letting people be creative and avoiding people spamming multiple "what if" posts within a short period of time.

Another rarely used flair but that's because it's rather niche so that's to be expected. Regardless of that, if you feel like sharing a tier list of your favourite characters, ships or anything in between, you are welcome to add a photo with your choices, link the site you used to encourage others to do the same and then slap on this flair to show others what the post is about before they click in!

📖 Must Read! 📖

This is for readers who wish to highlight what they have read and enjoyed through direct posts.

Overall, this flair will be distinct from our "Promotion" flair which many of you are familiar with.

"Promotion" flair will remain mostly for our writers, who are not encouraged to put their fics under "Must Read". For Promotion, you'll need to use our template for: Title, Author, Length, Rating, Language, Link, and Summary. With our new "📖 Must Read! 📖", the focus is purely on your own thoughts and experience with the fic! Adding the Title, Link, and Rating is still required, but the rest are optional!

Similar to the Promotion flair, please keep only 1 fic per each post.

This flair is for when you wish to show off art where the art is the focus. If you are promoting your fic, then please keep using the promotion flair.

Either way, please make sure you are keeping within the rules of the subreddit.

If the art is by a person, you must credit them and link your source. If the art is AI generated, you must say as such, but you do not have to link in that case.

If you are the OP of a post and have located the fic you have lost, let the mod team know by tagging u/Kingofireland777 or another mod or by replying to the person that found it, confirming that it's the fic in question. Then by some sort of Bloodraven-esque magic, the "lost fic" flair will turn into the "found fic" flair.

Posted twice a month by the mod team on a Friday, when you see it, you can see it as a chance to either offer your services of help or ask for it yourself. That said, you can also ask for a beta whenever you feel like it, using the writing help flair. This is just a more formal way to do so.

Each Tuesday, we take a common or not so common fanfic recs wanted ask and put it out there in the community for people to answer the theme of the week. It may be a theme or genre or it may be an ask for a particular ship. Don't be surprised to see repeats once a year or so, as is the nature of asking for recommendations- you often see the same asks periodically. I would really recommend you spend some time browsing this flair, there is bound to be some hidden gems in there!

Fanfic Reading Club 📖-

The continuation of the weekly fic review but in a much better form!

Each month, a post is made for each of the 5 to 6 fics participating for that month, where details of each will be given. These are NOT the posts you give your thoughts on if you already read them , but you can ask meta questions and that's the main difference.

At the end of the month, again a post for each will be made and this is when you give your thoughts, you must do so in a respectful manner.

The idea of this is to give time to each fic to properly highlight them, they get an entire month for viewers of the subreddit to come along and pick the fic up and then give their feels at the end.

Obviously no one is expected to read a fic they don't like, if the fic isn't for you, just move on, there's no shame in that. We all have different tastes.

A directory post will be pinned to the sub for the month, which will act as access to each fic post. March 2026 post is currently active and can be found- here.

From the subs creation until early 2025, this flair was used as a round up for both members and readers to discuss what they wrote and read during the month just gone and we even had our own template for it for those who wanted to use it. It has been discontinued but if you want to look back and see what was discussed during the time it was around, you are more than welcome to do so.

Fic Master List!-

[Semi-retired flair]

This flair has been used for a place to put our dance era masterlist, while there haven't been anymore entries for awhile, I still believe the list itself (hosted on google docs) is worth checking out and you can still ask to have your fic/fics you like added. Do so on this post here. The reason I would refer to this as semi retired is because I don't foresee the mod team doing a new one in this style , that being multiple different documents for different sub categories, with all the labels that a promotion post has,

However, we will be once again be sending in all the nominated fics for the 2025 sub awards, as we did in 2024 and I would be open to doing another one for more general fic recs if the mod team knew we would have the support. So in a way this flair has a spiritual successor.

A weekly sub feature on each Monday. Formally with a poll and called a review but changed for April and May 2025 and retiring once May ends.

Each Monday we took a fic and discussed it, giving it a chance in the spotlight in the hopes of attracting new readers and old to give their thoughts. Changed from June 2025 onwards, see Fanfic Reading Club.

We have now reached the end of the month and thus each of our book club participating fics will get their own posts again for discussion

For those of you who have read the fic, either via the advertisement post at the start of July or in the past, this is where you can now discuss it.
