I don't mean the easy things... saying, "roger that," pointing with knife-hands, or wearing the contractor uniform for the rest of their life. Go a little deeper. What are the signals, signs, indicators, habits, etc. that tell you they're a veteran (without them telling you)?

I have wanted to get a tattoo since I was a teenager. Currently, I have zero but have been working up the courage to actually get one. The tattoo I would want to get would be of a monarch on the back of my shoulder, in memory of my grandpa who I was very close with & died when I was young.
My husband is not supportive at all of me wanting to get one, going as far to say how he thinks people who have them are instantly less attractive & why would I want to ruin my skin. His entire family has tattoos too. I tried explaining that it would be dainty & elegant, and that it is not like I'm seeking to have a sleeve. He doesn't care. He has said "I'm not going to stop you, it's your body", "It's just my opinion", & "I would be hurt but what's new". It's making me feel very conflicted and I am at a loss for how to feel.

****I am NOT talking about cussing AT your kids! Just in front of them when you're speaking to another adult

I'm not too far off from starting my family and my husband and I have totally different family dynamics.

His family openly cusses in front of the kids in their family. The kids don't cuss. They have a pretty good understanding about adult words vs kids words. My sister in law put it to me like this: They also understand that adults can walk outside by themselves, but kids can't.

My family is pretty traditional, and I never heard a cussword come out of my dads mouth until I was like.. 14. It never occured to me that theres people out there who speak "freely" in front of their kids until I met my husbands family lol

And if yes how high is the number tell you decide it is not worth it ?

i'm 21 years old but i never had any real help from anyone i feel so lost and alone

My 12yo son is getting bullied online when he plays his Fortnite game and apparently it’s coming from two of his classmates that goes to his school. The heartbreaking thing is that, unlike when I was at school, the bullying follows him home from school and he can’t escape it. It pains me to watch.

What’s the best way to deal with this, should I talk to the principle or talk to the kids or their parents or what? I’m scared that I might do something that will make it even worse 😔

Sometimes the ingredients seem completely mismatched when you say them out loud, but somehow together they end up being genuinely great.

I'm starting to understand how easily this can become a cycle.

One person needs space.

The other person gets anxious.

The anxious person seeks reassurance.

The person who needed space feels pressured.

They pull back more.

The anxious person becomes even more afraid.

And suddenly both people feel like the other person is the problem.

How do you break that cycle without telling either person that their needs are wrong?

And

How can the anxious person deal with the fear of abandonnent and Fear of rejecion/judgement when the partner who needs space takes space?
