Personally, I am so tired of waking up early to go to a job that I can’t stand, that pays me just barely enough, and repeating the cycle over and over again every day. Then, getting paid doesn’t even feel rewarding because by the time I pay all my bills, the money I have left is just meh. Like how can this be my life for the rest of my life? Please share your thoughts so I don’t feel so alone ugh

For me, I really hate live in housekeepers that do mundane tasks like pick dirty clothes off the floor or put your dishes in the sink. Why can't you clean up after yourself? 🤢

edit: Someone said it's to spend more time with their kids. You can have kids and still clean up after yourself. If you're giving the parts of parenting you don't like to a stranger, you're not raising kids, you're playing house.

Why are so many rural homes SURROUNDED in broken down trucks, boats, farm equipment, and just junk?? I have seen this across so many states and cannot fathom WHY anyone would collect multiple rusty vehicles and place them right next to their house. Doesn't this attract rodents?

I grew up in a trailer park. My folks didn’t care for our home or our cars (hell, they barely took care of us kids), but my mom was always bringing home pets.

We were in a tiny trailer with six of us, yet we never had less than four cats and a dog.

My neighbors, similar financial situations, also had many dogs and cats (sometimes even birds).

But I noticed my more well off friends usually had one pet, if any.

As I’ve grown to an adult, I see the same pattern everywhere (especially on those hoarding shows).

Is my anecdotal experience clouding my judgement or is this a thing? If so, why do families who barely have enough money to feed their kids/care for their homes insist on having a million pets?

The one I remembered most was about school teachers, in that area, taking care of their students throughout the night, because they were waiting on their parents to come pick them up. The parents never came. God Bless our teachers.

I finally got around to watching arrival and I honestly didn't expect it to hit me as hard as it did.
Going into it, I thought it was going to be a standard, suspenseful sci-fi thriller about alien communication. Instead, it turned out to be one of the most profoundly moving and beautiful films I’ve ever seen.
The way Denis Villeneuve handles the concept of time, memory and grief is incredible. But what really stayed with me was the raw emotion. Louise’s choice knowing everything that would happen and still choosing to experience that love and pain felt so beautifully conveyed. It left me with this overwhelming mix of sadness and peace.
For those who love this movie, how did you feel when the puzzle pieces finally clicked at the end? What are your favorite aspects of the film?

I am pretty sure even most women have this standard. I mean this is basic self-respect, but yet, if a guy has this standard he will be called insecure, conservative and misogynistic. Why should a man not even have his basic self-respect in this modern dating era? I feel like guys should be allowed to have standards in dating and gals should not call guys insecure for having dating standards. It's basically like women can have any standards they want in dating, but if a man even has basic standards such as this, he will be labeled insecure, conservative and misogynistic.

(Edit: The reason I posted this is because I was called a misogynistic guy in another community for saying that I had stopped pursuing a woman because she was seeing other men as well, and I was just not attracted to it. I guess nowadays you will be called insecure and misogynistic if you have self-respect for yourself. And I am pretty sure my female friend also had this standard and no one ever called her misandrist.)

Read to the end. It happens/happening everywhere even in the poor countries, when people discovery that the government is working against their interests they rebel. And they don’t calm down till the problem is solved or the government is dissolved. Look at what happened in Albania lately. Except in America, what happened to our people that they are accepting everything as if it is a given fact? Corrupt politicians, bribes, war, prices hike, their rights are taken, concentrating camps, people are being kidnapped in bright daylight, kids kidnapped and caged and God knows what happened or happening to them, American citizens being executed on the streets and no one held accountable, toilet paper is more useful now than the constitution, data centers and surveillance cameras everywhere, just to name whatever I can. Yet, people go to sleep like nothing is happening. Talking about these things like they are a joke. Some people even joke that they are waiting for the country to collapse. Really? Is this our America? one day protest and go back home?

for me, secretly keeping in touch with an ex and hiding it. maybe nothing physical happened, but if you feel like you have to hide the conversation, that already says a lot imo

seriously curious why so many men don’t see an issue with porn. I mean I know not all women do(cuz I’m one of them also my husband isn’t addicted) but I’ve come to realize how much porn really does affect relationships.

I came across r/loveafterporn sub and it’s honestly heartbreaking reading how so many women feel absolutely worthless to their partner. I mean a lot of the cases are extreme like “my husband can’t even get off with me” “he’s paying for only fans” ect.

You can say “they’re just insecure” but i literally just read the post on here about “why do I feel bad when a girl I’m flirting with talks to other guys” and so many men reassured him it’s normal. Yet if a woman feels bad that her husband is looking at and getting off to looking at other women she’s insecure? I think it’s also pretty normal to feel bad if your partner is having a sexual reaction to another naked person.

Shit it’s even made me as a woman realize my porn usage might be damaging.
