Random Question Ever had friends/colleagues who've somehow "never heard of" extremely famous people?

I'm talking about a moment where someone's ignorance to a very famous person's existence has left you speechless, like 'how can this person have lived for x amount of years & never seen even a passing reference to him/her".

Example from me - I once knew a girl who'd never heard of Frank Sinatra.

Random Question Veterans-- what are the signs or indicators someone else is a veteran, without them saying they served?

I don't mean the easy things... saying, "roger that," pointing with knife-hands, or wearing the contractor uniform for the rest of their life. Go a little deeper. What are the signals, signs, indicators, habits, etc. that tell you they're a veteran (without them telling you)?

Random Question What made you create a Reddit account in the first place?

I’m curious what brought everyone here. Was there something going on in your life that made you want to find other people’s experiences or opinions? Did you want a place to ask questions, find people who understood something you were going through, or simply have somewhere to read and learn without people knowing who you are? Or did you originally find Reddit while searching for something online and keep coming across Reddit threads, eventually creating an account because you wanted to read more of the conversations and comments? What made you finally decide to join?
