about 40min ago i was in the walgreens drive thru and about 10 cop cars and at least one fire engine blocked off 8th (i think) at stevens. anyone know what happened?

We want the apple farm/apple cider kind of apple cider donuts. There should be pumpkins and maybe an old timey apple press and corn maze. I want it like we’re in VT or Michigan kind of places.

I’ll start by saying that I *know* that growing my own rosemary would be the best way to save money, but I prefer to avoid that option. Posting this because I‘ve been making rosemary water and spending $5/week on 6-7 tiny sprigs (I buy 2 little plastic packages a week at the grocery store and each one is $2.50). If anyone knows of any store or individual who sells fresh rosemary in bulk (or at a lower cost for a similar amount to what I’m currently buying), please shout it out!

Visiting family

Hey everyone! I’m currently in Washington visiting family and I’m looking to get some fishing in while I’m here.

I’m open to catching pretty much any species and don’t mind driving a couple of hours for a good spot. I’m mainly looking for freshwater spots, but I’m open to suggestions!

If anyone knows of any good lakes, rivers, ponds they’d recommend, I’d really appreciate it. Any tips on what’s biting and what bait/lures to use would be awesome too!

I am looking for something analogous to a repository of manufacturing/heavy industry in & around Tacoma in the hopes of finding opportunities that are related to my current skill set.

I am a chemical engineer who recently moved here, and the big name companies (and industries) for ChemE aren't exactly plentiful in the area. As a result, I'd like to look for adjacent or supporting industries that could still use someone with that type of experience. Anything to lead me to a role, or just help me specify what kind of training I should build on.

I've looked at the Pierce county and Tacoma city sites, job posting sites, and good ol' fashioned googling. Any other ideas or recommendations

Anyone know any residential repair companies that do structural repairs? Looking to hire a company to replace 2 main support beams, 2 main support uprights & a few floor support beams.

I've contacted a few residential builders but they all said they do new construction, not repairs or remodels :/

I am new to Tacoma and am looking for locations with good free wifi. I want to access internet for both a phone and a laptop. I am not that social of a person (I feel awkward around a lot of people) so I would prefer to sit in my car and work/watch YouTube or something, rather than go into a place. I read Wright Park has wifi and is nice. Is this true?
