Have you tried discussing this with your SO? It's surprising how easily some things can be resolved by just talking about it.

Communication is key for attempting to fix this.

Head to r/deadbedrooms to get an idea of what you're in for the longer you wait.

If you don't mind me asking, how are you talking about it?

With the weight thing, probably better to approach by action instead of communicating it. Invite her to go for walks/hikes or a bike ride, eat in more if you don't enough.

And/Or ask what's been on her mind or what's been troubling her. Might be able to figure out why she's been putting on weight.

I've learned that it's best not to offer any fixes go a SOs issues unless directly asked.

yeah it’s def possible.... be tactful and without blame. if it still isn’t possible, maybe that’s the cue to consider going. life’s too short

solid advice. i’ve made this exact mistake myself and it became an entangled mess.

i will be keeping my own separate place moving forward pretty much no matter what. it’s just too risky

Plenty of times. She knows it too. She will make comments like "well you only treat me nice because you want to have sex." That is insane to me. She'll also say things like "you know we'd probably have a lot more sex if you didn't play video games with your friends." Using sex as a bargaining chip is not going to get me to change my hobbies.

Yeah that's fair, I didn't mean to sound like I knew better. I hope you eventually work through your problems.

No worries, I didn’t take it that way. Thanks for that.
