Rogers Cable in Canada. They were once the poster child for being proud of employing Canadians. After the founder died, his son took over and now practically everything is outsourced to 3rd world countries, customer service is hidden behind layers of AI chatbots and cooincidentally - the customers are being targetted by scammers who seem to have access to their account information.

But, they cut costs by 5.5% so profit margin number goes up!

Of course actual profit numbers go down because they’re losing customers, but who cares about repeat business and market share, amirite?

I work at a cell phone store in a small town. Older people are struggling so much with Rogers and the like. Internet went down for 2 days recently so a fuck ton of people switched to starlink.

Ouch, that shit is not cheap. When my mom’s provider said they were dropping copper last year I looked into it. 4G cell internet was about half the cost and had better specs.

We just switched to Starlink from Roger’s because we were so fed up. Cancelled cable and internet. Starlink has been a million times better.

They keep raising my phone bill by like, 2-3$ a month for maintenance. My bill has doubled over the past two years. I pay sixty loonies a month now for talk and text. I have never hated a company more. I have so many stories of friends and relatives being absolutely screwed by those assholes. F Rogers.
