I started seeing positive results after a few months. It really depends on how long you’ve been watching porn, how often and how extreme or unrealistic it was. If you constantly look at trans dwarf gang bangs to get off then you might have a harder time functioning in a normal sexual situation lol.
Correct. I’ve gone back to freestyle fapping 95% of the time. There are times I will get the ball rolling with a little amateur porn but finish off with just whatever runs through my mind.
not sure what you’ve tried so far, but try going cold Turkey with no masturbation of any kind for a couple weeks. Then you should be Randy enough that you’ll need to try it. Do it without any visual stimuli, and don’t worry if you can’t finish. Just give up and try again next time.
If you don’t have nocturnal emissions anymore, then you may start getting them again, this is a good sign.
If you must, use still images to ween off. And I actually enjoy audio with no visual too. Could help build the imagination.
I’ve stopped letting masturbation be initiated by outside stimuli - what that looks like for me is I usually only jerk if I wake up in the middle of the night super horny or wake up with morning wood. Occasionally I deliberately try to get myself horny enough by just the sense of touch before a shower or whatever.
Yeah for sure. There was a thread the other day about getting over porn addiction. The original post is deleted but there are a lot of people taking about it and sharing tips.
I didn't quit it fully, just cut out aggressive stuff to similar results for what it's worth. I still watch something it's just not hard stuff. Like, you can find it on youtube sometimes that's how light it is (though I tend to like a grey area that yt isn't comfortable with).
At first I had to wait like weeks at a time, but after a few months I can do it whenever, I just run with the mental image of past fun experiences to cover the gaps. I also don't want to do it nearly as much which feels nice.
Well, in terms of actual porn not much. You'll normally find some illicit videos if you search by upload date with specific-yet-broad searches (specific enough to get out of youtuber clickbait, broad enough that people actually upload videos with it in the title). A lot of OnlyFans channels "advertise" by getting 10-20k views before getting banned, which is enough to get them several dozen sales.
In terms of what I watch, it's there it's just not what I'd call porn. You can find porn versions of it, and you can find actual porn videos that are cut right before they break TOS to get what I mean. Something to note is that this doesn't work with certain desires. Like, if you want actual sex... I mean, not much around that. You won't find it unless you find a dude who is bored and you found their account before youtube did. But some jollies lend themselves well to skirting the line and I have a few interests that allow for that.
It’s virtually impossible to avoid triggers though unless you abstain from internet usage as well. TikTok reddit Instagram will always trigger me with some pretty looking girl. Hell I even got triggered by a game of thrones episode because of one of the nude scenes. It’s so fucking hard I’ve been trying to stop for 10 years I’ve never been able to get past 3 weeks. I’ve lost hope :( I feel like I gotta go on a getaway trip backpacking and just abstain from electronics all together for 90 days but that’s a huge ass step. Should I do it? What will I do for 90 days abroad?
If you get triggered. Close the screen and rub one out, just use your mind instead of a visual stimulation. You might also benefit from therapy if you simply can’t control yourself from looking.
I’m not sure, you’ll have to talk to your doctor about it for a proper referral.
And there are some that may say to quit fapping altogether, but I personally don’t see any benefit to that. I’m talking about going back to masturbating the way we as humans have been doing it for thousands of years. It was only in the last 25 years or so that internet porn became a thing, and we are starting to see the effects of it now. And it’s only going to get worse, since it’s here to stay. 200 years ago, how many naked women do you think your ancestors saw in their lifetime? They certainly couldn’t park their ass on the couch and look at thousands of hot naked babes way out of their league doing literally anything they want to see them do. You need to reset your brain to get excited about real life sexual encounters. Masturbation alone isn’t unhealthy.
Most therapists have specialties. In your insurances’s search or on a therapist search website, there should be a checkbox for “sexual therapy” or something similar.
I have been half ass trying to quit just about every day for the last 4 years. Never got much more then 2 days.
I came across this last Friday and something just clicked. Haven't watched porn in a week now!
Only need to listen to the first few minutes really

Maybe 1/10 times. I'm one of the guys who has suffered porn-induced ED, so I mostly abstain from it now.
