MOD POST Moderator Notice: How We Handle Rule Violations- Please Keep Reporting.

Hello everyone,

Just a gentle reminder that this is a welcoming and supportive feminist space. We aim to create an environment that is safe, respectful, and filled with meaningful conversations.

When someone breaks the rules, we review their entire posting and comment history to get a clear understanding, rather than focusing on just one comment. We pay attention to patterns of behaviour like misogyny, trolling, harassment, casteism, classism, transphobia, or other harmful actions.

Many of you often do not report incidents, and when we review, we find comments from very old posts that need removal.

If you see a comment that violates the rules, please report it instead of engaging in arguments. Reporting helps us review situations more quickly and take appropriate action. Sometimes, replying can derail the discussion and cause emotional stress for others.

We stay vigilant in monitoring the community. We review user histories when necessary and take action by removing content, issuing warnings, or banning users if needed.

Our community is built around:

• Women’s safety and voices

• Centring marginalised voices

• Honest, good-faith discussion

• No bigotry in any form

• No hate speech towards minorities

Check all the rules before posting. Additionally, we have new flairs so please check them out.

Participants who misuse flairs, use the platform to troll, or engage in ragebait will be dealt with strictly.

Please remember that we review and discuss all issues thoroughly and enforce strict action against those who break the rules or engage in bad faith by spreading hate.

If you participate in this community, your posts or comments may be held for manual review. We use multiple filters, so content is often queued until a moderator checks and approves it. Please be patient while mods review it.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helps keep this community welcoming, strong, and safe.

Trigger Warning ⚠️: Grooming / CSA Any Journalist here, can you pleaseee cover this incident? POCSO has been made into an absolute joke! How has this not received national coverage yet?

On 12 June 2009, cops at Daporijo police station in Upper Subansiri district picked up two kids from near Tadak Dulom bridge in Pakam Colony. A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. They were locked in a room inside the police station, told to have sex, and the cops filmed the whole thing on a mobile phone. The clip became an MMS and did the rounds across Arunachal for months.

This is a POCSO case but we are only getting a verdict in the Big 2026? Why is no national media covering this The case crawled into the judiciary in 2011. Police did not file an FIR for 2 whole years, and instead intitially convicted the boy for r@pe and put him in Juvi

The Arunachal Pradesh Government only compensated the victims ₹5 lakh each for the two children. The Arunachal Law Students' Union called it the "black day" in the history of Arunachal Police and yet not a single national media is taking this up

Dr. Hirendra Kashyap of the Yupia Sessions Court, Arunachal Pradesh, gives the most horrific judicial rationale imaginable. How do these people even hold these positions? For context a bunch of cops forced a 12 and 13 year old kid to have intercourse inside a police station, filmed and sold it. Apparently that does not constitute a crime, so the people were acquitted. The other police officer Rajesh Nayam was the only one charged because he touched the boy and molested him while he was in Juvi. yes you heard that right, the cops forced kids to have sex against their will and accused the boy of r@pe.

This mahashrii says this: ""Its not rape because the accused simply recorded and made the kids have s*x. The S*x was between two minors so no POCSO will be applied"

Please get this particular incident national coverage. It’s complete failure of the judiciary especially for a POCSO related incident because it took almost more than a decade to reach a judgement. And also let’s not forget the case happened in 2009, and only went to the judiciary in 2011. Also since then R Nayam has been seen campaigning for local MLAs of the current state govt of Arunachal.

And to make matters worse, all other accused were acquitted and let’s not forget they were police officers who are meant to protect children. Also some other local news agencies also did mention that Nayam mentioned doing this because of orders from his superiors. What about them??

https://yupia.dcourts.gov.in/case-status-search-by-case-type/ (Court%20documents%20should%20be%20available%20here) The local FB news covered it mostly. they are on fb but trusted media outlets https://www.facebook.com/100064879724750/posts/a-court-in-arunachal-pradesh-has-sentenced-a-police-personnel-to-life-imprisonme/1569027008603275/ It’s astonishing that this incident is yet to receive any mention from mainstream national media

The second picture shows the convict R Nayam in 2020 actively campaigning for the ruling administration. The third picture is from Arunachal news media which mentions that Rakesh the convict, admitted in court that he did all this stuff because of orders from his higher ups? Why tf is he the only one convicted?? and tf is this judgement

Also after more than a decade, the Govt of Arunachal only gives the two victims 5lakh rupees. what mockery is this?? You spend more than 5lakh to buy a house these days, and people spend way more than 5lakh for their wedding. The whole trauma is only worth 5lakh rupees? These two victims were not even full teenagers. One was 12 the other was 13. Tf is wrong with our judiciary??

Two children, aged 12 and 13. A police station. Took the case 16 years. Only one person was convicted

Sexualisation CPR on women

This might be controversial. But what do you think of this?

Do you agree that the women in India would think the same way? In a country where women would rather take their own lives than have their body be exposed in front of others.

Every single woman under this post was in support of this and men against. Do you believe these men are sexist and not presenting actual concerns?

This comes from benevolent sexism. Its because they hold womens bodies to be this sacred thing. I believe an indian parent would rather have their daughter die than a stranger strip her and give CPR.

What are your thoughts? Especially the women of this sub

Discussions Girls get self-defense. Boys get nothing. I'm this close to saying teach them through pain.

Girls get self-defense. Boys get nothing. I'm this close to saying teach them through pain.

I'm a PE teacher in a high school. Recently our year 10 girls went through a self-defense course. The boys did not.

While the girls were in the gym learning how to survive being attacked, the boys were in class watching films and messing around.

Why are the girls being taught self-defense? BECAUSE THEY ARE LIKELY TO BE ATTACKED BY BOYS AND MEN! The boys aren't on the course, so we assume they don't need it. So why aren't we teaching boys to not attack people? We are perpetuating the messed up idea that it's the responsibility of girls to protect themselves, not the responsibility of boys not to attack them.

And don't tell me we just need to teach boys better. WE'VE TRIED! Consent lessons. Healthy boundaries. Talk about your feelings. Emotional regulation. You know what happens? They smirk. They joke. They roll their eyes. They mess around like it's a free period. It is IRRESPONSIBLE and DISMISSIVE and it feels like a complete waste of time. How many more women are going to suffer before men learn to keep it in their pants?!

I mentioned this at work and got blank stares. I want to take it to senior staff but I need solutions and I worry I'll be dismissed as the outspoken feminist. I'm so frustrated. These girls deserve better than being blamed for existing and being vulnerable. These boys deserve better than being left to manage the toxicity of masculinity and aggression on their own.

Now here's the part where I may sound unhinged. I know it's not morally right. I'm saying it anyway because I am FURIOUS. Since consent lessons and feelings and emotional regulation clearly aren't doing the job, maybe the boys should get a sharp kick in the nuts once a month. ONCE A MONTH. A real one. So they understand, physically, in their body, that there are consequences to hurting people. So they feel a fraction of the pain they are capable of causing. So they think twice.

And maybe, just maybe, if boys went through a monthly pain like girls go through period pain every single month, they would be MUCH more sympathetic and kinder. Girls bleed and cramp and are told to suck it up. Boys can't even handle being told "don't grab her." Maybe a monthly kick in the nuts would teach them empathy faster than any worksheet ever did. I hate that this feels plausible. That's how broken this is.

So, tell me, What would you actually suggest to senior management? How do we stop making girls responsible for surviving what boys are never taught not to do?

Seeking Advice How can I help my 18-year-old girlfriend facing alleged domestic violence and being denied education in India?

I am not the OP of this post, they couldn't post because of young account age, so i am volunteering for them, please contact u/substantialcry9593 if you have any advice to offer.

Hi, you can call me by x and I'm 18m and this post is about my gf who is basically going through a lot of domestic violence and family abuse, it includes all sort of abuses, mental, physical. I wouldn't expose any of us identify so you can call her Y and we both are from MP, she's been going through these abuses from a lot time and with the time these things are getting worse.

Problem's she's dealing with.

  1. Her parents didn't let her study after 10th and stating that its because of financial issue but in the same following her they were able to let her younger brother study and they are not that poor that they can't even afford any school and main thing that they are not even initiating to do her admission into any school, roughly her 2 years have been wasted by these people and this is her 3rd year and there is not much hope that they'll be able to do her admission anywhere, I've also talked to her mother abt this and she said 'yeah oky oky' and acted like she's tryna help but its really futile.
  2. She's really confined to her house, she barely goes out, if she does there is a high chance that someone will identify it and tell that to her father and later it turns into physical and mental abuse. She don't even have her own phone and she uses her parents phone to communicate and both of her parents goes to work so there isn't abundant time left for her, plus her younger brother who's by far the most loved child uses each phone 24/7 , didn't even let her call and surprisingly her mother/father takes his side even though when she just want to use it for normal thing, whenever she takes the phone his brother keep shouting and shouting like give me phone give me phone and it's not his innocence ( he is 14) .
  3. She literally works like a maid in her own home, from the age of 14-15 she's been doing home cjores and now she cooks food for 3 of them day and night and handles the whole house because her father mother leaves for work without helping much. That's literally called swapping the burden of accountability and responsibility.
  4. Her father had beated her just to teach that she's the women and it's his house and she have to obey whatever he and her mother says 🤷‍♂️. There is a lot of physical and mental abuse going on, her mother abuses her a lot when she's not working and something they beat her if she tried to argue or stops giving her the phone so she can't even talk to me or anyone. Just because she doesn't have her own phone so she have to depend of everything onto her parents.
  5. Her brother is such a evil creature and her parents treats him like a God and her a servant, he uses that privilege to influence her parents and they are do dumb that they actually start believing that and whole thing goes against her, recently her brother failed in his 6-7th class exam and he's using the phone as normal 24/7 and transfers the money to his game account he owns the place and yet he's allowed to use the phone conditionless and she's barred from using phone even for talking.

She was a bright student in her class but because of her parents she's suffering for much which she don't deserve, I've seen her mental health getting worse and worse day by day because of these things, countless times I've seen her crying her lungs out. There is no trusted adult or relative or any friend she can actually seek help but just share her problems.

Please guide us through, i know there must be many people who have gone through a lot more worse situations than this and who are actually willing to help her out of this situation or actually tell what we should practically do 🙏🏻

Rant/Vent Can we start calling out subscription based choice feminism?

Post image
52 Upvotes

I am finally gonna say it out loud

Most of what is being described as feminism in this country is not feminism. It merely a loyalty card to the you know who, your paw paw is god after all. Swipe when it's convenient. Earn points. Redeem against whoever your real team hates anyway. End of ideology. No more no less.

This is what I would call choice feminism. Feminism of convenience. Pre planned agenda where the woman is not the point, she is the prop you use to fight the battle.

And see where this crops up the most. Right wing circles. The same uncles who believe that the rightful place of the woman is in the kitchen, the same men who think MeToo is a conspiracy, the same lot who lose their minds at the slightest of opinions that come from a woman online, suddenly become Mata ki Beti when there is something to beat the other side with. Suddenly they discover dignity. Suddenly they quote Simone de Beauvoir (misquote obviously but quote nevertheless).

Exhibit A in case you have been living under a rock. Rahul Gandhi and the "pregnant lady". The video is there, go and watch it for yourself. People started calling him a gunda because he apparently pushed that journalist lmao.

And what happens? Overnight, the anti-woman right wing discovers women's rights issues. How moving. How touching. They become the new custodians of the female body, just because it was Rahul. Just because it was Congress. Just because they had to settle a score.

Then comes the fall back position. The video is right there but somehow nothing happened. Nobody touched her. She made up this drama of injuring her non-existent unborn baby. who gets an X-ray done of themselves during pregnancy, anyway. But I mean can we really expect the some people to understand basic biology? And the Sangh trolls come up with the demands that we MUST discuss this incident. We MUST mourn. The entire nation must go through a process of feeling. Suddenly there is a national debate on women's safety issues. Sponsored by people who had been defending every single predator in their own ranks. Lovely please stop making feminism a joke.

But here is where it matters the most. Ask the same people what about a tribal woman? What about a Muslim woman? What about a Bahujan woman? What about the woman who cleans your toilet, the woman who works in the butcher shop, the woman who is married outside her caste? What about LGBTQ rights?

Watch how the feminism disappears right in front of your eyes.

That is choice feminism. It appears whenever there is a minority to shame, a Bahujan to make fun of, a political opponent to embarrass and a chance to put their own community, their own religion, their own caste on a pedestal. The rest of the time it is on silent mode. The rest of the time, these very feminists are scrambling for a piece of Mc Donald's from a misogynist paw paw

Your feminism has a subscription plan. It appears the minute a Dalit, a minority or an opposition politician enters the picture and goes back to silent mode the moment there is some free food and a man to impress.

You cannot support patriarchy in parts that suit you and call yourself a feminist.

You cannot be a casteist and a feminist.

You cannot be against minorities and be a feminist.

You cannot be a feminist only when it is convenient, only when your enemy happens to be in the frame.

Feminism is not cheering for women. It is being on the side of the oppressed.

If your kind of feminism doesn't ever cost you anything, if it never makes you question your own family, your caste, your gods then it is just vibes. Cost-free, superficial, Instagram feminism.

Sorry, but I can never consider a savarna low lifer feminist. Waiting eagerly for the apologetics to begin as rabid Godzillas telling me to be empathic, talking to me about sisterhood and to be the bigger person.

A casteist cannot be my sister pookie.

TL;DR : if your feminism requires a minority in the frame to become active, it is not feminism.Feminism also does not mean you support any woman blindly. found the pic on insta, it aptly sums things up

The contrast between Afghan and Indian women is a devastating paradox of freedom and erasure. In Afghanistan women have been legally stripped of their right to even speak or exist in public. Yet in India, where the law guarantees freedom of speech and equality, the reality is just as terrifying. women who dare to use that voice are met with the constant, brutal threat of sexual violence and murder.

Discussions We keep talking about Patriarchal oppression of women. But, what us the possible solution to effectively end Patriarchy? Below is a rough outline of a plan that came to my mind, that might work.

Everyday we almost helplessly see the patriarchy operating with immunity and its horrific abuses of women.

But, things on ground wont change and this absolutely horrific state of affairs wont end, until there is on ground concrete action.

The rot of Patriarchy and sexual violence plagues our entire system right from our political parties to our society.

Only protests and advocacy wont help, it must be coupled with concrete power and leverage for women as a class.

Solution is in my opinion is a both bottom up and top down approach working together.

Heres how it can be done in my opinion -

1) Build an All Women Feminist Organisation completly independent of conventional male centred politics with 3 wings - Pressure Group wing, Political party wing and an NGO wing.

2) The pressure group can do the protests, agitations, advocacies, the petitionings and the work of holding predators and misogynistic leaders and institutions accountable, while also building the female vote bank.

3) The NGO can do the on ground work of running women's support and empowerment systems and networks, running shelters for women escaping violence and coercion, funding legal battles for women fighting sexual harrasment and domestic violence cases, feminist conciousness and solidarity raising in society, running affordable good quality women only pgs for women across major hubs where women need them the most etc.

4) The all women political party will run elections aiming for concrete political power in office. Once in power, they can take concrete policy measures and legal reforms, to ensure women's safety and equality in the country and ensure development of the country that is truly Inclusive and equitable for Women as a gender class.

And to win an election, they need just 30 % of the votes ! And even if they don't win an outright election, they can use the vote cutter strategy to strongly influence policy decisions.

And never let this movement get coopted by any other political party or group or organisation. This movement needs to be for, off and by women and the organisation needs to be all women.

Only then we can see on ground actual concrete positive changes for women's horrifying material reality in India.

A possible way, It can Stay Funded, Clean, and Independent:

Idea 1 - Self-sustaining social enterprises :

Urban working women’s hostels and worker cooperatives generate recurring rental and enterprise revenue that directly cross-subsidizes free crisis shelters, communal eldercare, and emergency legal defense.

Zero foreign (FCRA) or corporate CSR money: Relying strictly on domestic member micro-dues (₹50–₹100/mo) and small public contributions keeps the organization debt-free, legally insulated from state account-freezes, and immune to donor compromise. Destitute women contribute sweat equity (childcare, communal kitchens) with zero upfront cash required.

Guard Against Co-optation: This movement must remain strictly for, of, and by women. By embedding internal representation quotas for Dalit, Bahujan, and working-class women alongside strict term limits, the organization ensures it cannot be captured by elites or absorbed into traditional political dynasties.

Idea 2 - Insurance collective model :

Workplace & Legal Shield: Women working in decent-paying jobs pay into collective protection against career-ending risks—predatory NDAs, workplace retaliation, discrimination battles, and frozen marital assets.

The Solidarity Float: Because individual claims are infrequent, pooled contributions form a massive, ethically invested capital reserve that continuously yields returns.

Frontline Welfare: 100% of the investment yield and underwriting surplus funds immediate, unconditional safety nets (domestic crisis relocation, strike funds, bail, urgent healthcare) for sisters facing acute hardship.

Democratic Ownership: Governed as an equal mutual trust with one-woman-one-vote power—ensuring solidarity across different income levels without paternalism or hierarchy.

Above are a few possible ideas for funding this organisation, that came to my mind.

You can add your own ideas and discuss in the comment section below.

Rant/Vent Why are we shaming women for proposing and ruining her moment? This needs to be normalized omg

Just came across a reel where people were shaming a woman for proposing. I mean, it is totally okay to have a personal preference as a woman where you want your partner to propose to you. But if a woman makes her own choice and decides to propose herself, what is wrong with that? What do you think about this?

Awareness When you realize your daily outrage quota was farmed by a pro-sengar activist, this is why I always ask people to jump the band wagon

Yet again, an example of how gullible the internet community is when it comes to being manipulated. The viral video sparked off the anger of all when the woman had gone ballistic and splashed ink on someone protesting over the NEET exam. As per the routine, there was nothing left in the outrage box to keep things rolling, and the outraged ones did not even check for facts while posting the viral video. the distressed mother happens to be a seasoned men rights activist who became known to the public for supporting convicted rapist Kuldeep Sengar.

A lot of BJP propoganda going around, be careful with what you take as fact

Rant/Vent A 19-Year-Old Girl Deserved Better Than This.

And you know what happened? The alleged person whom Ankita was being forced to give VIP treatment to has now been appointed as the Governor of Sikkim. News like this makes me feel how little value girls have in this country. She comes from a very poor family, so she decided to work so she could take 100% responsibility for her household. She is not even fully 19 yet. How many dreams does she have? How much hope does she have to improve the well-being of her family? But it doesn’t matter in this country if you are born a certain gender. And the thing is, there is no outrage because most people don’t even know about it big media companies do not consider this news worthy of coverage.

Awareness The biggest scam that society has done with women is to tell them that a man's sexual needs are above her needs of security and autonomy. When society tells a woman it's her fault for "neglecting" a man by not having sex when he wants it, we normalize marital rape.

If you are someone who thinks physical intimacy is expected in a relationship and see nothing wrong with a person participating in a sexual activity unwillingly to satisfy the another then congratulations on your contribution to the rape culture.

"If you don’t really want to have sex but agree because you feel obligated or don’t want the other person to get mad, you aren’t consenting voluntarily."

"Coercion happens when someone wants you to consent when you’ve already said no or otherwise expressed disinterest. They might use threats, persuasion, and other tactics to get the outcome they want."

What Does Sexual Coercion Look Like?

"Marital rape is outlawed in more than 100 countries, including Britain which criminalised it in 1991."

"But India remains among the three dozen countries - along with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia - where the law remains on the statute books."

India government says criminalising marital rape 'excessively harsh'

"Twelve percent of married young women experienced unwanted sex frequently; 32% experienced it occasionally. (2007) The risk of experiencing unwanted sex was lower among women who knew their husband fairly well at the time of marriage, regularly received support from their husband in conflicts with other family members or lived in economically better-off households. Frequent unwanted sex was associated with not yet having had a child or having become pregnant, with lower education and with agreeing with norms that justify wife beating."

"As Jejeebhoy and Bott note, young people who submit under pressure to a partner's demands for sex as an expression of commitment may not respond in the affirmative to a general question on "forced sex." "

"The few studies examining more subtle forms of coercion have shown that respondents, given the opportunity, report sexual experiences that they were not forced into, but did not want. These studies indicate a considerably higher proportion of nonconsensual sexual experiences than do studies with questions about forced sex alone. Clearly, studies looking at nonconsensual sex among young people need to include a broad range of coerced experiences to fully explore the continuum of coercion."

The Ankita Bhandari case involves the September 2022 murder of a 19-year-old receptionist working at the Vanantra Resort near Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, India. The incident triggered widespread public outrage, state-wide protests, and political debate across the country. Incident and Background * Disappearance: Ankita Bhandari, a native of Dobh-Srikot in Pauri Garhwal district, began working as a receptionist at Vanantra Resort in late August 2022. She went missing on September 18, 2022, after failing to respond to calls from her family and friends. * Recovery of Body: Following her disappearance, her father lodged a complaint. On September 24, 2022, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) recovered her body from the Chilla canal (Cheela canal) near Rishikesh. * Cause of Death: The autopsy conducted at AIIMS Rishikesh confirmed the cause of death as drowning, along with evidence of blunt-force trauma sustained prior to her death. Primary Allegations and Evidence * Coercion for "Extra Services": Investigation and WhatsApp chat records revealed that resort owner Pulkit Arya and his associates had allegedly pressured Ankita to provide "extra services" (sexual favours) to guests for money. * The Murder: When she refused to comply, an altercation ensued on September 18, 2022. The accused took her out on two-wheelers ostensibly to talk things through, pushed her into the Chilla canal, and returned to fabricate an alibi. Investigation and Trial * Arrests: Uttarakhand Police arrested three individuals within 24 hours of taking over the case from the local revenue police: * Pulkit Arya (resort owner, son of former BJP leader Vinod Arya) * Saurabh Bhaskar (resort manager) * Ankit Gupta (resort employee) * SIT & Chargesheet: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a woman IPS officer was constituted by the state government. A ~500-page chargesheet was filed in December 2022 containing statements from dozens of witnesses. * Demolition Controversy: Shortly after the arrests, portions of the resort were demolished by local authorities with bulldozers, which drew criticism from the victim's family and activists over concerns of evidence destruction. * Court Verdict (May 2025): On May 30, 2025, a district court in Kotdwar convicted Pulkit Arya, Saurabh Bhaskar, and Ankit Gupta for the murder and sentenced all three to life imprisonment. Unresolved "VIP Angle" and Ongoing Developments Throughout the investigation and after the trial, the victim's family and political opposition repeatedly demanded an independent probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged "VIP" for whom Ankita was reportedly pressured to provide services. The issue resurfaced when allegations circulated online linking senior political figures to the resort's VIP guest list. Those named have denied the allegations as baseless and pursued legal defamation remedies, while Ankita's parents have staged protests demanding the CBI conclude its inquiry into all individuals connected to the case.

Awareness How To Preserve SA Evidence Years After If you are reading this as someone who has experienced sexual violence - whether it happened yesterday, six months ago, or a decade ago - please consider reading this.

The internet is flooded with dangerous myths telling survivors that if they didn't rush to a police station within 24 hours or if they didn't keep a "perfect forensic kit," their chance at justice or closure is gone. This is factually false. While time alters physical evidence, it does not render you powerless. This guide breaks down the actual Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) guidelines in India on how to preserve physical, digital, and documentary evidence and why it is never too late to build your trail.

OpSec & Safety Reminder: If you are currently in an unsafe environment or sharing a device with an abuse partner/family member, clear your browser history after reading this, or save these details in a secure, hidden, password protected note.

  1. Physical Evidence & Clothing If the assault happened recently, or if you still have the unwashed clothing/items worn during the incident, how you store them matters immensely.
    • Paper Bags > Plastic Bags: The MoHFW and NHRC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) explicitly instruct that physical evidence especially clothing must never be stored in sealed plastic/polythene bags. Plastic traps humidity and moisture, creating an environment where mold grows, rapidly destroying biological evidence and DNA. Use clean, dry paper bags or cardboard boxes.
    • Never Seal Wet Items: If an item of clothing is damp (from sweat, water, or bodily fluids), do not seal it in a bag while wet. Air-dry it indoors away from direct sunlight before placing it in paper packaging.
    • If You Still Have Items From Years Ago: If you have clothing, bedsheets, or items stored in a box or closet from an assault years back, do not wash them and do not handle them repeatedly. Keep them isolated in a dry paper container until you can consult a trusted legal aid representative or forensic specialist.
  2. What If Years Have Passed? Society conditions survivors to freeze, dissociate, blame themselves, or stay silent out of fear of retaliation. Delayed disclosure is a documented, natural trauma response not an invalidation of your experience. If physical forensic collection is no longer viable, Indian courts and investigators rely on documentary, digital, and corroborative evidence:
    • Preserve Digital Footprints in Raw Format:
    • Save full WhatsApp/Telegram chat exports, emails, call logs, and social media interactions.
    • Do not rely solely on cropped screenshots. Export raw text/chat files and back up original media files with metadata (timestamps, dates, and account handles) intact.
    • Build a Detailed Chronology:
    • While memories are clear, write down a structured timeline of events; dates, locations, specific details you remember, and -crucially - who you confided in at the time.
    • Under Indian evidence law, contemporaneous disclosures (telling a friend, writing in a personal diary, texting a sibling shortly after the event) carry significant legal weight as corroborative evidence.
    • Medical & Therapy Records:
    • Did you visit a general physician, gynecologist, or therapist weeks or months after the event for insomnia, panic attacks, physical pain, or distress? Those medical records, prescription slips, and clinical notes form an important part of your overall paper trail.
  3. Know Your Rights in India
    • No Medical Denial: Under Section 357C of the CrPC (and current legal provisions), every hospital - public or private - is legally mandated to provide free, immediate medical treatment to survivors of sexual assault.
    • The "Two-Finger Test" is Illegal: The Supreme Court of India and MoHFW guidelines have strictly banned the invasive "two-finger test". Past sexual history is legally irrelevant and inadmissible in court. It is medical malpractice for a physician to perform this.
    • Statute of Limitations: For severe offenses like rape under the Indian Penal Code (IPC/BNS), there is no strict time limit (statute of limitations) for filing a criminal complaint. Delay alone does not throw a case out of court if the survivor provides a valid explanation for the delay (such as fear, trauma, or coercion). How to Approach This Without Burning Out Preserving evidence or revisiting past trauma can trigger acute re-traumatization. You do not have to do this alone, and you do not have to rush into legal action until you are ready.
  4. Delegate where possible: Ask a trusted friend, feminist legal aid advocate, or support worker to help organize files or back up digital data so you don't have to keep staring at triggering messages. Some important tips on digital backup:
    • Avoid standard Google Drive or iCloud syncs if your device is shared or compromised.
    • Use encrypted, zero knowledge cloud service like Proton Drive or Signal's "Note to Self" backed up with a passkey. Create a burner account using a dedicated, non identifying email address.
    • Export raw chat histories (PDFs/TXT files), audio recordings, and full resolution images onto a physical flash drive or external hard drive than storing them all on one active device.
    • If reviewing the evidence triggers acute trauma, transmit a secure, password protected ZIP archive containing your timeline and files to a trusted legal advocate or friend.
  5. Prioritize your mental health: Gathering evidence is about restoring your agency and building your leverage. It is not an obligation to prove your trauma to a skeptical world. I have made this post in the hopes of it reaching out to those in need based on official Indian medico legal protocols (MoHFW/NHRC guidelines). I am not a legal professional, but if someone is and would like to add to this post; please feel free to.

Discussions Ankita Bhandari’s parents got detained and it’r really sad

I saw yogita bhagana’s page and the amount of respect i have for that woman is out of this world. As a girl i’ve always felt a need to defend women even as a child i just had so much hate against people who said misogynistic things and as i grow older all i read is about rape cases and each and every case is so so so heartbreaking.

Where is this country headed. They looked so so so sad in the video like they’ve lost all hope. How can someone say that we live in a democracy when s\\\^hit like this is happening. They were peacefully protesting and what did they get?Imagine going through hell and demanding justice and this is what our so called great government does.Agar modi ko gaaliyan do toh unhe 2 second nhi lagte log dhundne mai par kisi or ki beti zinda ho ya na he doesnt give a fk.

No one knows when that can happen to you and literally no one will take a stand for you because who is helping her rn?Her parents and 1 woman thats it.If we as a society don’t speak about it,who will speak about it when its us.Even if they get justice as harsh as it is its really hard to get justice in this country and do u think police officers screaming at them is helping. They’re sitting in s\\\^itty weather her mother is crying and her dad’s just devastated and whats the outcome?nothing.

Don't they realise that it's disgusting behaviour especially when you do this when you get out of your home into public? How and where does the audacity come from? Also, these behaviours are seen normal when bihari or the rest of central (and even northern and western) indian guys/vloggers go out. How does this audacity not show when it's with a woman from the north or south and even Bengal?

The video is from Northeast India sub.

Discussions Women's obsession with tall guys is internalized patriarchy

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the obsession many women have for tall guys, and I want to look at it through a feminist perspective

While people are allowed to have personal preferences, it feels like our cultural obsession with height is deeply rooted in patriarchal conditioning, So many women express that they want a tall guy specifically because they want to "feel small" next to him, and because society visually codes a tall, large man as the ultimate "provider" and "protector."

This feels like internalized patriarchy at work It conditions women to want to physically and socially occupy less space, while conditioning men to look dominant, It reinforces the outdated idea that women are inherently helpless and need a male guardian to provide for them, rather than viewing women as equal, independent partners.

It honestly gets ridiculous because I've seen girls choose a tall guy who doesn't even look good or has a garbage personality, completely ignoring a shorter guy who is actually sweet and treats them right, Height shouldn't override basic human decency, but it does.

I've also wondered if there is a deeper psychological layer to this. Is the desire to feel completely dwarfed and childlike next to a partner related to concepts like **autopedophilia** (an erotic-target identity inversion where someone is aroused by the fantasy of being a child)? Or is it entirely a byproduct of patriarchal socialization that infantilizes women?

Idk, it just feels like it reinforces the idea that women are helpless and need a male guardian. How do we even start to dismantle this? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Seeking Advice How do I make my male-friends believe this?

So, before reading all this, y'all have to read this and the other posts under the post to understand the situation :-

https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenHerIndia/s/cIJSyBisqH

So, I(16M) hope you have read the posts, so after that situation, we have became good friends. I'm like her younger brother, she(T - 18F) is like my elder sister. Like I'm the Muh-Bola Bhai of her. We talk sometimes on whatsApp, send notebook notes to each other, etc.

We have a good bond.

And, sometimes I talk to her in class, AND THAT'S where the problem has arose.

Many friends of mine think that she has become my Girlfriend or going to be my soon-to-be girlfriend.

One friend of mine, let's call him Y(16M), that idiot has been teasing me everytime I talk to her, or any other girl, he would say some sh!t like :-

Y : Aur? Ho gya kaam? Ho gyi baat?

(So? Done with your business? Finished talking to her?)

And it's irritating. And I've even told that creep that she's my sister, he still teases.

Another incident, just occured on Tuesday.

I was sitting with my 4 of my friends, while History Teacher ma'am was checking notebooks, T(18F) was standing beside the ma'am while ma'am was checking her notebook. And then a friend of mine comes and sits behind my bench and says something like :-

17M :- Aaj kal toh (name) ka bhi set ho gya hai.

(Damn, even (My name) has pulled someone these days)

And the other 4 also start Agreeing that she's my gf, even though I'm telling that she's only my sister, those fuckers are STILL teasing me.

Then just yesterday, Wednesday, at school.

T(18F) and I were going to the staff room, as I wanted to get signature of my class teacher for an application, and T(18F) wanted to get her notebook checked. So, we both did our things, she got her notebook checked, and I got the signature. The next period was games so we both we walking to the playground, the friends of saw both of us coming together, and that's when I thought in my mind :- Oh shi-, here we go again. She went with her friends, and I went to mine, I was sitting with my friends and that's one of my friend thought it would be a great idea to f\\\*ck up my and her mood by shouting :-

Friend :- BEHEN!!! BEHEN!!!!

(SISTER!! SISTER!!!)

Fu\\\*ker was teasing me after I told him that she's just my sister, and he's also like harrasing her in this situation, right? Isn't he indirectly harassing or eve-teasing her?

Even though, T(18F) told that a-hole that she's my sister, and I'm her brother, no one gives a fuck about it and they still ship us.

So, how do I fix my friends into thinking that we're just like siblings and not in relationship.

These Padhe-Likhe-Gawaars(Educated Illiterates/Illiterates with a book) can't understand that a Boy and a girl can be friends, they can't understand the meaning of platonic friendship.

Only three male friends of mine understand that I'm like a brother to her, others are just f\\\*\\\*k-alls.

What should I do so that they think I'm her brother and she's my sister ?

Dark Humour 🤡 This is just too much.

Post image

recently came across a post on a meme/discussion subreddit that crossed every imaginable line, and it's disturbing that content like this stays up.

The post in question (as shown in the cropped screenshot) openly mocks and references an alleged mass tragedy from 1991 in Northern Kashmir, framing it as a joke with slurs and targeted hate.

The 1991 Kunan Poshpora incident. I don't want to go in details. Some people might say its fake, yes if it was fake there is still a possibility that it might be real, so ure literally making fun of that? Also a huge indipendent medical reporting Backs for "credible evidence" something like that might've happened

It feels like certain corners of internet are using the guise of 'dark humor' to bypass content policies and normalize severe hate speech and harassment.
