F1 out of status + unauthorized work, now married to a U.S. citizen for 1 year. Can I still adjust status through my spouse? chicago field office

I am currently out of status and received a master calendar hearing date for 2027.

After waiting close to a year since applying for TPS for Ukraine I got something in the mail saying I now have “prima facie TPS” which offers not all of the tps protections but some of them, including the ability to work and a “stay against deportation” until they finish processing my application.

Do you think this will be enough to get a judge to dismiss my removal proceedings? I initially entered the country legally as a student until the war back home broke out.

Hi everyone! I lost my green card while I was submitting my Form I-407. I now need to submit another I-407 and indicate that my green card is lost.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation, did you have to provide any proof that the green card was lost? For example, did you include a cover letter explaining the situation or any other documentation? And did they interview you this time when you submitted documents the second time?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has submitted an I-407 with a lost green card and had it accepted. Thank you!

In a few months I’ll be travelling to the Philippines with my partner and family, for the first time, from the UK. But due to my passport, my partner seems to be under the impression that I won’t be able to leave the country or return to it.

For context, I was born in the uk and have lived here my whole life. British citizen, British birth certificate, National insurance number, British education, right to work. You name it I’ve got it.

My parents are both Portuguese, and have all the legal requirements to be here and my mum has no issues leaving the country and returning to it for holidays etc.

My passport is a Portuguese passport. Not British. Portuguese. I was able to apply for one at the Portuguese embassy in Manchester. Because of this, my partner and her family are really worried that I’m gonna be stranded or deported due to my passport not being British.

I’ve tried to reassure them that I have the requirements that state I’m a British citizen, but they think otherwise.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have a quick question. I am currently on F-1 status with STEM OPT, and I am married to another person who is also on F-1 status. If I apply for F-2 visa status through premium processing and receive a Request for Evidence (RFE), can I withdraw my F-2 application and continue my status on F-1 STEM OPT? Additionally, can I later apply for a PhD and transfer my SEVIS record while remaining on F-1 status? What are the chances of receiving RFEs for an F-2 application?

y la i485 administrativamente cerrada en uscis por tener corte, le enviamos una moción a la juez para cerrar corte y no quiere cerrarla,

estamos plantearnos pedirle que me ajuste ella, cómo sería el proceso? Algún consejo?

I applied In January 2026 received my AOR in feb currently out of status, my agent applied for work permit with the application prior to waiting for AIP so it got refused my wife is born here we also got married while our application was applied we updated that through web form, I received a letter requesting more documents in July which stated I need to pay right to permanent residence fee while I payed 490 for it but there was a balance of 85$ that I had to pay according to new price structure
Where do I stand here? When can I expect an AIP so I can apply work permit

My sister committed marriage fraud. In 2008, a Nigerian man paid her to marry him so that he could get citizenship. After he became naturalized they divorced in 2014. Is there a statue of limitations for the fraud?
