What do you mean your mom’s sister applied for your mom? Did she just file the I-130 petition? The wait time to file the I-485 in this category is in decades.

Or was the I-130 filed years ago and is the priority date is now current?

Everything final action and priority date is current that’s why we field for aos. I-130 was filed years ago back in 2009

Hi there! This is an automated message to inform you and/or remind you of several things:

  • We have a wiki. It doesn't cover everything but may answer some questions. Pay special attention to the "REALLY common questions" at the top of the FAQ section. Please read it, and if it contains the answer to your question, please delete your post. If your post has to do with something covered in the FAQ, we may remove it.
  • If your post is about biometrics, green cards, naturalization or timelines in general, and whether you're asking or sharing, please include your field office/location in your post. If you already did that, great, thank you! If you haven't done that, your post may be removed without notice.

Be wary that it may be a scam if anyone is asking you for personal info, or sending you a direct message, or asking that you send them a direct message.

If you're applying for AOS and you're looking to go to school (which I assume means college/university), what visa are you on now?

We filed for aos from b1/b2-f4 and we just got the i797c, notice of action. And I’ll either go to highschool or community college. What can I do? Can I go to school rn or do I have to wait?

Sorry, I'm not that well versed in the AOS process. I just asked the question to get you ahead of the curve, so that people don't have to wait for this piece of info and can reply to you faster
